Played this AM. Other than a few drops of rain at 6 AM it was a dry morning. POP was 2 H as no one showed up (should have played 36). Found the course to be in nice shape. Tee boxes clean/level. Fairways had good coverage, lies and roll all round. Very little rough to deal with but this course has water, ravines very high rough outside of many fairways which will quickly ruin your round if not careful. Greens were being mowed and played great all round. Great service from Adam in the shop and Brian in the starters building. Was nice to get out w/o the rain and not be confined to the house and a nice (IMO) day for golf.

Was not an ideal day for early golf. POP was great as not many early golfers out to brave the conditions. Fog was thick and heavy. Course was wet from overnight moisture/course watering. Heavy air and dark skies made for tough morning of ball striking. Course is green. Course is in nice shape (w/o inclement weather) and of course the last 3 holes the sun came out. Great customer service at check in with shop/starter (thanks Adam and Brian). Me thinks we will have to endure weather issues in early AM or change our times for the future?

Out early this AM on a very pleasant morning. Sun never broke through until we finished but we had no fog. Tee boxes all fine. Fairways very damp through the whole round, so not much roll all morning. Traps all fine no issues. Very little rough to speak of. Greens were fine but had not been mowed this morning, so they putted slower but we had no issues. Excellent customer service at check in with Adam/Brian.

Out today with my usual group. Conditions were tough early with dense fog. Very wet and heavy air made for lots of long irons early on. By the time we got to the back 9 we found a different course. All tee boxes (front/back) were just fine. Fairways were wet/damp front and rolling out very well on back. Front 9 greens were a struggle and back 9 were fast and dry. No traps today but heard no complaints. Easy fast check in (thanks Adam and Brian) and POP was at 3.5 H.

Played today in a great 3 H POP. Course is in nice shape currently. Fairways have good coverage, good lies and good roll out. Traps are all clean and playable (and rakes are abundant). Very little rough to speak of. Tee boxes are recently aerated/prepped and healing. But markers are in areas of already playable ground and we found no issues. Greens are in really nice shape. Hold shots, release shots and have speed of about 10 making chipping/putting a premium. Fast and easy check in with shop and starter.

We played this AM under cloudy skies but perfect temp for golf. Course is in very nice shape at the moment. Level tee boxes. Clean fairways with plenty of roll and good lies. Traps are all playable and the best I have seen at any course lately (and with rakes). Very little rough but as I have said before plenty of OB areas off fairways, a few small arroyos and water to contend with. Greens were all in excellent shape. Chipped/putted with good speed at about 10. Excellent customer service from Adam and Jake.

Played today. Course is in really nice shape at the moment. Fairways have good coverage and some good roll out at present (nice). Rough is very low and playable. Tee boxes are all fine. Traps are all playable and have rakes. Greens are just right for chipping/putting (with decent speed) and release shots nicely while leaving small divot (which of course we repair). Check in is fast/excellent at both shop and starter. POP was 3.5 H. Restaurant open and no masks required in OC.

Played this AM. Found the course in very nice shape. Tee boxes all good. Fairways had good coverage (a little wet early) but provided good lies and good roll out all round. Traps were all playable and nice to have rakes back and see others are using them. Very little rough and what was there was playable. Greens all in good shape and putted well with medium (not fast) speed. Easy check in and excellent customer service.

Played here yesterday with a 12:24 TeeOff.com “Deal” time. Used seven $10 reward codes and paid $5.99. Check-in went smooth. Check-in No. 2 over at the starter shack was a little bumpier. They called four singles to the tee and then the starter had us wait a while for everyone to show up. Only three people did, so they eventually sent us off as just three, a couple minutes past our time. The starter asked each player if we had water because it was going to be hot, encouraging us to buy waters for $2 each from the starter shack. I was really surprised that a course with $99 weekday afternoon tee times can’t spring for two 25 cent waters per player… ESPECIALLY when they’re not filling the jugs out on the course. Never saw anyone ahead, so pace of play was entirely up to us, although there was a really quick group on our tail starting around the 6th hole. We were keeping pace but when they hit right up behind us on the par-5 11th, we invited them to go through but they said no and then seemed to make an effort to lay back a bit the rest of the round. Total POP right around 4:00.

Conditions are pretty good overall. For the overabundance of annoying ads and notifications on the GPS screen, they could really use one urging players to fix ball marks. The greens had tons of ball marks and as a result, were pretty bumpy. It seems the maintenance staff fills unfixed ball marks with blue sand, which visually makes them stand out more than normal. Anyway, greens were about medium speed, bumpy in spots and pretty soft, accepting full shots well. Many greens had some small bare spots as well. Fairways were really nice bermuda with great coverage. Rough was also in very nice shape, just a little longer than the fairway but never really penal. Gold tee boxes were good. Bunkers looked to be maintained but had a hard-packed base that need some work.

Nothing to do with the conditions but just sorta amusing anecdotally: One of my playing partners was practically Inspector Gadget. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone bring so many accessories to play golf before. His cart looked like he was overseeing a NASA rocket launch with a bunch of wires going everywhere. He had a phone holder in his cart’s cup holder, had another big mount for his tablet affixed to the steering wheel column, had a metal post he’d bring down near the green and stick in the ground so he could lean his unused clubs against it instead of laying them on the ground, and had a ball retriever on the grip end of his putter. Roger Dunn must love when he walks through the door.

Overall, fun day on a nice layout but the nickel and diming for water on a supposed “high end” course was a big turn off.
