Course in good shape. Tee boxes all playable. Fairways (while thin) provided good roll out and lies. Bunkers were all playable and some had rakes (nice). Very little rough along fairways and greens but enough natural hazards to keep you on your toes. Greens were all in good shape and chipped/putted well and good speed. Excellent fast check in at shop and starter. Range open as well as putting green. Restaurant not open quite yet. OC virus rules regarding masks still in affect.

Played today in a 3 H POP. Cool to start but turned into a beautiful weather day. Tee boxes were in good condition but some are harder than others to put the tee into (no doubt time for some aeration). Virtually no rough but there are enough OB, canyons, water, oil derricks (yep) etc to replace the rough. Fairways were in good shape and provided good lies/roll out. Traps were all playable but for some reason the rakes are now gone that were there for the past few weeks. Greens were in good shape and chipped/putted with good speed. Excellent customer service at all levels. Driving range closed on Tues for maintenance. Putting green was being aerated and no idea for how long. On March 14 Senior green fees go to $63 Not pleased with this as they were $50 prior to the virus closing and they when up to $60 when courses were allowed to reopen. Now a year later another increase? IMO hard to understand this place being more expensive than Black Gold.

Played today in POP 3.5 H. Course is in better condition today vs Tuesday. Fairways had dried out and gave good roll out but thin lies (great for hybrids). Tee boxes all fine. Bunkers clean and rakes provided. Greens had been mowed and rolled and had good speed all round. They held shots and chipped/putted really well. Easy fast customer check in as well with starter. While the Sr rate of $60 seems high, at least (except on Tues) you get range balls to warm up with.

First off this AM. Hate to see DST come as its great to start early when the course is fresh and the sun is coming up. Found conditions a little more difficult today due to the overcast, temperature and evening moisture. They have recently repainted many of the fairways and that combined with wet fairways made roll out less enjoyable. Found good lies but most of them were thin (great for hybrids). Tee boxes were all in good shape. Traps were clean, playable and had rakes. Very little rough if any to contend with. Greens were damp and as it was not warm they did not dry out for much of the round. So what have been very fast greens were of medium speed all round. Customer service great at check in with shop and starter. OC virus rules in effect.

Played today on a beautiful day for golf. Early off so POP was no issue. Course has greened up nicely with the rains. Tee boxes all fine. Traps clean and playable early AM. Very little rough at the moment, so no issues. Fairways were clean/dry and provided good lies and roll out all round. Greens a tad slower than past weeks, but still held shots, chipped, putted very well. Great customer service at all levels. OC virus rules in effect. Putting green open but driving range is now closed on Tuesdays for maintenance. Recommended.

Out today as first group. Done in 3 H. As I was unable to play in PS at Desert Willow, I joined my group at 6:30 today. The only changes from my review on last Thursday would be. Greens were slow and fairways were faster. Course continues to be in good overall condition and they know how to serve the customer.

Have not been here since Nov so wanted to get back given it would be a wonderful day for golf (we were in golf shirts by the 2nd hole). Not disappointed. First off so no POP or back 9 player issues. The fairways and greens have all been painted and now lined with brown dormant bermuda rough it all looks great. Made a great visual contrast from the tee boxes. Never had a problem with a tee box. Fairways had sufficient coverage so lies were good and the roll out was fantastic (all of us had yardage we were not familiar with LOL). Rough was the dormant bermuda and played tough as the ball dropped down in it, so needed to keep it in the fairway. Traps had all been cleaned/raked and were very playable. No rakes but did have divot bottles in cart (single player cart only). Greens (even # 15) were clean/firm and very fast and chipping/putting was great. Customer service excellent at all levels. Restaurant closed but snack bar open. Driving range and putting green open. OC virus restrictions in place in and around clubhouse, range and putting green. Best conditions I have seen here in a long while.

Tee boxes no issues and they had the markers in good spots, as they repaired previous damage. Greens have been punched (small holes) and sand cleaned nicely. Some were faster than others, so it was a fun day of putting. But they held shots and also released in addition to chipping/putting being OK. Fairways had great roll today. Traps were cleaned and even had racks in them for the players (nice). Very little rough as there is enough OB, water, oil derricks (for real) to contend with. Customer service excellent at all levels.

Played early today on a cool morning and lots of smoke from Yorba Linda fire (weather and air cleaner after front 9). POP 3H as the first group waved us through after 4 holes (thank you). Several trees came down in the wind from yesterday and the course was littered (mostly on the greens) with debris. Felt sorry for the ground crew who was really hustling to clean things up as we played (much appreciated). Course is in decent shape at present. No tee box issues. Fairways were dry and gave good roll and good lies. Traps all playable early AM. Greens were cleaned early and chipped/putted really well the whole round. It looks like they are having issues with # 15 green again? Customer service excellent at all levels. Current OC virus rules in and around clubhouse still in effect. Restaurant still not open. Driving range and putting green are.
