Played today. Course was still under CPO. Course conditions as you can imagine were not ideal. Fairways need mowing but are still to wet to accomplish. Tee boxes were all playable. Not so for the bunk... Continue »

Played Westridge this past weekend with my monthly golf group and was terrified to have another water-logged, rain-soaked and unkempt course to deal with which is what happened the last time we played... Continue »

What separates the municipal courses from privately owned ones is not represented well here. Yes, the conditions are above average grass-wise. The Pace of Play is subpar for $75. Five and a half hour rounds could be played at any county course for half the price. Delayed tee offs and 10th hole start...

Their new plan to improve pace of play is evident. Those notations in the message are listed on a sign in the front lobby. Also, the signs at every fourth (or so) tee box was large and clear as day. But...here comes the but, pace of play is even worse than I remembered. I played two days ago (du...

Just to add on to the current tip, the right side connecting to hole 13 is OB all the way down to the green. They have small white stakes and a sign at the tee box. So you have to be dead on with the distance on your driver to make that shot, which makes it really risky. Also, the 150 and 100 yard marker are actually set at 15-20 yards more than the distance it says (170-165 yards, 120-115 yards to green). The course did that to avoid people hitting shots into the houses past the cart path.

5 wood or 4 iron off the tee. puts you right in fron of the lake. from there your only looking at about 175 to the green if you go over the lake. dont let yardages markers fool you. they mark off the fairway no over the lake. from here take 1 extra club that you would normally use for 175... get you a 2 putt birdie and you are good to go
