Golfed on the 2nd of July as a single, got on right away. i joined the group ahead of me for the back 9. constant breeze cooled us off and even got a little chilly at times. Course conditions were nice, a few holes that are along the street so you might have to deal with an idiot honking his horn but overall a fun course to play at. Not just a good course but good food as well.

Played 6/22/13 with a friend who had previously played at Meadowlark before and said it was a nice course. That's exactly what it was, however I would say it's about $10 too much for the $46 online 'deal' we got. But for the good looking gals that seemed to be all over the place, I can deal with that extra cash.

The course itself is pretty fun - not hugely challenging but certainly a bit of target golf and you can get into trouble pretty easily. There are some nice water features on the course which I luckily avoided all day. Hit fairways here if you can - duh. And some local knowledge helps as some hazards are completely invisible from the tees.

Only ran into some rough fairway by the water on the 18th hole - other than that they were in pretty darn good condition. Same with the greens - really adequate and medium speed. Some tough, sloping hole locations make two-putting a challenge.

The sand traps weren't all that great - a little too heavy with the sand. But avoided most for the day outside of two. And the layout, while very narrow and constantly hearing 'Four!,' is good fun and provides some nice holes. POP was bad for a Saturday afternoon with many holes backing up, but don't ever expect to finish 18 in LA/OC on a weekend in under 5 hours.

If I can get a little better deal, maybe after 3:30 twilight or something, I'd definitely run this course again.

Played on 5/15/13 as a threesome. Course was crowded for a Wednesday afternoon. The starter was able to get us out 15 minutes early. The course only plays 5568 from the blue tees and it's main defense is the par 3's, and all have some good character to them. For some reason holes 6 and 12 back up incredibly. Hole 6 is a 181 yard downhill par 3 over a lake and usually into the wind, we go to the hole with a back up of three groups and one on the green, nobody waving up, the course opens up again and then will stall at the par 4 12th hole. Good thing both of these holes are not far from the clubhouse and is a good time for a restroom break and a meal.
Tee Boxes- Some our in good condition, but a few are divot damaged and not level. Still very playable.
Fairways - in about as good of shape as I have ever seen them, with only a few spots that are hardpan.
Rough - not very long, but still gives you something to think about when hitting to the green.
Bunkers - was in 3 bunkers (2 green side, 1 fairway) the greenside bunkers are in decent shape, I prefer a little more sand, but definitely playable. The only fairway bunker I was in had lots of fluffy sand and I think this the way the greenside bunkers should be. The bunker I was in was on the 18th fairway long and it hadn't been raked good, looks like people are just ready for their round to end.
Greens - In really good shape, but are only medium in speed, putts need to be aggressive. if the greens were fast, the course could play very difficult on some holes and I think it would slow down play on an already slow course. So for this course I think the speed is good.
Pace - Like I mentioned before a few holes are always backed up. They do let 5somes play and do allow some parties in the 5some to walk. Yesterday we had two 5's in front of us and the walkers were older gentlemen which also slowed down the pace. For a shourt course play could be faster. It took us a little over 5 hours to complete, but it was such a great day out, and the two guys I played with were fun, so I didn't mind too much.

Played 12-12-12. Customer service was top notch, the starter got us out on the course almost as soon as we got there. $20 w/cart after 12 was a great price. Tee boxes were uneven on a lot of the holes, the fairways were good, even though some were soaked a little too much. The bunkers were great (tested a few of them), the greens on the front 9 were really good, the back 9 need a lot of work.
Had fun and will definitely be back. Played the course in 3:30 hrs, and that was with a really slow 4some in from that didn't want to let anyone pass.

I played Sunday morning and teed off at about 8:45. The most fun thing about this course is usually the greens. They are pretty small, pretty crowned, and can be pretty tricky. Sunday they were pretty BAD. They were slow, soft and bumpy and many of them appeared to have some kind of fungus. The rest of the course was ok. The pace of play was good. Customer service was great. I hope they get the greens back soon, because Meadowlark is a great little confidence-builder and the clubhouse has a really welcoming feel.

It was my first time being on a course, tee time at 6:23. Played Aug 26, 2012. I've heard it was a "hacker's" course and it used to be a dirt track but when i went it was a lot nicer then i thought. Fairways and rough were pretty good, greens and tee boxes were average, but the sand traps were kind of muddy, probably because of the time of day though. Shot 105 on my first time on a course. Overall a pretty good course to play on, especially for casual golfers.

Played an afternoon weekend round here for the first time and had a good time. The course is not on the same level as the nicer OC courses, but it is also less expensive. Overall, the course is not too challenging, striking a good balance between the shorter executive courses out there and some of the longer tracks. None of the Par 3s required that I use my driver, so that is a good thing.

The greens are probably the toughest part here, with some pin placements adding a real degree of difficulty.

Played in the afternoon on July 4th for $15 walking, a great price if you tee'd off after 12:00. When we got to the course there were no carts available, but within 15 minutes of our tee time carts started to become available.

Pace of play: 4:45 which is not bad considering we were a 3some following two 5's.

Tee Boxes: a little on the thin side and some are not level, but still are playable.

Fairways: Average muni fairways, thin or muddy in some areas, great in others.

Bunkers: Greenside had good sand in them, soft and deep, a ball could plug and fried eggs were somewhat common. The bunkers were being raked by players, but not correctly, the sand could hand sand mounds in them causing rather awkward lies.

Greens: soft and rolled ok, a little on the bumpy side, but puttable. Fixed up to 3 ball marks on every green, but again this is an average muni and it is expected.

Service was good, with friendly staff and saw the cart girl 4 times.

One thing that was a little annoying was the amount of range balls outside the range on holes 7-9. They need to clear these a little more often.

Overall it was a good day.
