Wonderful experience! This is one of the most picturesque places I've ever played. It had rolling hills, lakes, and creeks. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The amenities are first rate. There's a range (where you hit off grass), chipping and sand areas. And a beautiful young cart girl. GPS is extra. The course was challenging with plenty of deep bunkers, devilishly placed trees, nasty rough, and beckoning water. The fairways were lush, but narrow. The course was very well maintained, except the greens weren't mowed (perhaps because of the high heat today). The play was slow as well, we started 30 minutes later than our reservation, and we finished in 4 hours and 45 minutes. But in spite of it all, we had a great time. We will definitely be back!!

I love the staff here. Absolutely outstanding. The golf course is not in good shape. Last summer it was prime! This summer it features blotchy fairways and greens that are super slow. They verticut them yesterday before i played and it really does throw off the putts. I think the drought may have something to do with the lack of lushness this course once owned. If you can play it for under 70 bucks, I would do it.

Played in the early evening on Thursday, 6/25/09, on a warm cloudy day with only light breezes. Very little customer service at this high-end public course at this time of day – no cart girl, starter sending singles and pairs out willy-nilly, no ranger, etc. Course was in very good condition with thin but firm fairways, soft greens that rolled well at medium speed, good bunkers, rough not punishing. Course is very scenic with mounding and vegetation to separate holes and surrounding streets and freeways, large eucalyptus trees, locals fishing in one of the ponds (do they pay green fees for that?). Not very crowded but when play is strung out like this a slow group affects everyone – we skipped ahead of a slow foursome and finished 16 holes in 2.5 hrs just as darkness fell. Super-twilight rate of $45 with cart not bad for this quality of course. Recommended.

Nice layout, good variety of holes. A "bull dozer" design, with many (unnatural) humps, mounds and undulations to the fairways and greens. Most fairways are bowl shaped, so drives hit within their margins will come back into the center, but if you go up over the edges, watch out--lots of brush, etc. out there. Fairways and greens are well trapped, and traps around the greens can be deep. Rough is pretty deep around the greens if you stray too far off on your approach shots. Greens were fast and smooth, but with quite a few unrepaired or poorly repaired ball marks. Fairways are a little thin. They have three distinctly different types of grass in the fairways, some in weed like clumps, which surprised me for the quality (and cost) of the facility. Customer service was excellent, like a resort. If you like being fussed over, and are willing to pay for it, then this is a great place for you.

What a great track. Service from beginning to end was great. Course conditions are first rate. I teed off at 9am and you couldn't tell that people had played before me. They started a new Club 55. Very cool if you are a senior. Have to be 55, pay 55 and then your rate during the week is 55. Best deal around by far. What a great place. Will be back with friends.

Golfed 3/31/09, drove from San Diego and was greeted by a friendly club boy. Had an easy transition at the pro shop. Practice facility first class with wide open tee areas and plenty of pitching and bunker practice areas. Putting surfaces a plenty. On to the course, this course is one of the best layouts in my rotation, it has everything a little water, a little sand, uphill downhill, trees. It takes all the shots. Very secluded, you never know your in a business park area. Course not as good as last year they are changing grass. Place was busy took 5.5 hours but very enjoyable. Played at 10:30 AM this morning. Oak Creek has a a great new offer; "Club 55", for those of us over 55 years of age, (hence the name!) Joined a twosome already on the tee. The course was in REALLY nice shape. The game doesn't normally START on this course until you get to the greens! =0~ I usually average about 36 putts per round and not often any more than that. I had 46 today!! The rough is just that ... ROUGH!!! They have let some of it grow in excess of five inches and in parts it looked like a links course with bent grass growing wildly in spots. Good luck finding your ball in THAT stuff!! It was a beautiful day to play with the temperature hitting near 80 around noon. As always, the staff was on thier toes and looking out for the golfers. Cart service and the guys out front were thier usual best! It is a bit pricey at $110.00, but I HIGHLY recommend this course anytime you can get a round here for $55 or less!!!!
