I’ve never had a problem with Oak Creek Golf Club service. I also use their stellar practice facilities about once every two months. It’s the $95 green fee that’s the problem. I hope they are reading some our comments. They have a fantastic golf course but we all can’t be wrong about excessive costs. I happened to have played the course this morning. The golf course was is very good condition with only a couple fairways roped off. Was Oak Creek in $95 condition, no way…Was it a $95 layout, maybe...Will I be back paying full price, NO. Drop the price by $20 and improve the playing condition and you will see my money again.

Played yesterday, 10/08/03. Nice amenities -- attentive service, good restaurant (try the club sandwich), and picturesque setting. However, simply not worth $95, especially considering all the alternatives available to golfers during the week. Worse yet, we were rushed by a women's collegiate tournament and forced to skip a hole. Marshalls weren't cool. I won't return, ever.

Played 8-11-03 at 8:20AM, Course is very nice and in good shape. Greens were in pretty good shape and fast. Used our Golfextra discount so it was only $47.50. Regularly $95.00. All in our group agreed It is not worth $95.00 for a mon-thur play. Everything is expensenive, example: hot dog and chips were 7.00 and by the time you get something to drink and tip, your paying over $10.00. Most of the staff not all that friendly except for the snack bar girls. We will only go back if we have a 50% off coupon.

Oak Creek is a beautiful public course with a country club feel. We played on a late Sunday morning and the high rates kept it from being busy. It made for a wonderful golf pace but the twosome behind us may have a different opinion. They never really caught up to us on a par 3 or we would have let them play thru. The course is well maintained. I expected a little more challenging course from a Tom Fazio design. The fairways were wide open and had no fear of using the driver on every non par 3 hole. The sand traps were plentiful but most had nice sand to blast out. The greens were actually too slow and made putting much easier because there was not much undulation or unseen breaks. There is a sameness to many of their holes. The practice facility is first rate as is the staff. Overall the course is in great shape except the slow greens. If you want a course to regain some confidence in your game, Oak Creek would be a good choice only with a 1/2 off coupon not at their full rate.

I played this course for the 1st time today. I just returned to golf in Jan. this year and am currently a 18 hdcp golfer. The course is in very nice condition with nice fairways, and tee's. The greens are med. fast, some with severe slope but there fair. Weekday senior rates of $60 are not bad considering the area but there are a few Riverside courses just as good or better for a lot less money.
I will play it again. I shot 86 from the whites and for me it was a satisfiying round.
