First time here. Went with friend who has Pelican Hill Player's club card (reciprical with Oak Creek). Oak Creek plays like Pelican Hill without the ocean views (both Fazio designs). Nothing wrong with the course, but it ain't worth $95. Arroyo Trabuco or Tijeras Creek as just as challenging for much less $ (more drinks afterwards!). Greens and fairways were great. Traps had good sand. Rough was THICK. Glad I played it, but wouldn't rush back, only due to green fees. It's a $60 course.

Played 11/5/04 so the greens were still bumpy from being punched a couple of weeks ago. Everything was wet due to overseeding and possibly some leftover dampness from the recent rains. Many shots plugged due to the wet conditions so we plyed lift, clean and place much of the time. Some of my soft shots were short as I did not compensate enough for the damp ground. Sand traps were fluffed as best they could, but sand was very moist. I liked the track, but save your $$$ for better conditions.

Always a great place to play but a bit rough now as they are just getting back to normal after punching the greens. Another couple of weeks and this place will be as good as ever.

A PLEASANT SURPRISE! A BEAUTIFUL COURSE SITUATED IN THE MIDDLE OF ORANGE COUNTY. WHEN ON THE COURSE, ONE IS PRESENTED WITH A PEACEFUL, TRANQUIL SETTING. THAT IS EXCEPT FOR THOSE ERRANT HOOKS OR MISSED GREENS! SOMEHOW THE TRAIN FROM SAN DIEGO ALWAYS BLEW ITS HORN WHILE WE WERE READY FOR OUR TEE SHOTS.
I HAD THE FEELING THAT I WAS SOMEWHERE IN OREGON - LOTS OF WILDLIFE, BEAUTIFULLY MAINTAINED LAKES AND A PRISTINE FLOWING RIVER WITH CLEAR, CLEAN WATER. THE EMPLOYEES WERE VERY CORDIAL AND THE COURSE WAS CHALLENGING AND FUN! A GREAT OUTING!

Fairways were immaculate, greens were running about 11 and true, and the staff, including the marshals, were very nice. The ruff was U.S. Open and the sand was good. The course is in great shape and for the $60.00 senior rate with a cart, it was well worth it. They also have one of the best practice facilities in Orange County. A real treat today. We'll be playing next Tuesday.

I like the layout, but I cannot recommend it at these prices. It has a great prctice facility, but again very expensive, It's $8 for a small bag and $12 for a large.

Course is in excellent condition, however it is a little tricky until you have been around it a couple of times. Greens are always near perfect. Fast and true rolling.
Sr. Rate with cart and GPS $28.50 all day long M-F
Brand new clubhouse will open next week.

Oak Creek is a nice and fun course, but again WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY overpriced.
