Played a birthday round there today. Course was in great shape and the weather was excellent. The greens were firm and pretty fast. Fairways were good and some of the traps need sand. No breakfast served during the weekdays :( but the snack bar was open and the service was very friendly. All-in-all it was a very fun day. Will play there again very soon.

Played 3 rounds this week at Tijeras. Course is in fantastic shape. Best I have seen in a long time. Greens can be called a little soft but they roll well and med fast. Bev cart girls and BBQ at the turn are highlights in customer service. Def best value in OC.

Very surprised to find 80* semi-summerlike conditions at the Creek on NYE day, just gorgeous! Some tee boxes are a bit beefed but, in the dead of SoCal winter, the greens are in very good shape right now as are the fairways. Great clubhouse to have lunch and a brew afterward. Good time to pay it a visit.

Played first out Sunday morning. Greens were about 3 feet faster than I expected. Some of the par 3 tee boxes were pretty beat up. Rough is very good and bunkers were fine. BBQ at the turn is very good. Bev cart by 3 or 4 times. 2 inches of rain today will make this review obsolete but it is still the best value in the OC.

Played first off on Monday 11/21/11. Course is cart path only, but as I walked as I generally do here. The course is really really wet! 2" of rain last evening! Course played very long - no roll whatsoever. Bunkers were not good, I suspect due to the amount of rain.

The rough in spots was "U.S Open" thickness, which I'm certain will be addressed once it dries out. Greens were OK, I only had a few cut greens so not fair to be too critical.

Staff was excellent as usual

Played 10/3/11. Have not played this course in about 20 years. Target golf, either amongst the houses on the front nine or canyon on the back. The greens were hard and fast and many holes have multi-tiered greens. Three putts came come easy if you are on the wrong side of the green from the pin. The back nine shines with two narrow par 5's along the ridge and exposed to the wind. The two par 3's play along the creek as does the par 4 17th. The 17th remains one of the best par 4's in Orange county. Service was spotty and didn't see the cart girl on the back 9.

Front nine reminds me of a Palm Springs type nine in between homes, with water features and some darn good holes, back nine is awesome, no homes, nature, great veiws, really cool fun holes thru the canyons on top of the canyons - one of the most fun public nies in the OC

Played at 7am this morning. Got off a few minutes early. Played in exactly 4 hours. Course was still a little wet from the over night watering. If you see some bare spots on the fringe of the greens it is because they are trying to cut the greens back to their original size and shape. Seems the fringe has encroached on the greens over the years and they are trying to get it back to the original greens.

Greens were a tad slow from the moisture but rolled true. Always a great experience at the Creek. Great burger in the bar after the round.

Generally the course is in decent condition with a number areas around the greens and in the rough which could use some attention. I did not have many cut greens so difficult to be be critical of the ... Continue »

Generally the course is in decent condition with a number areas around the greens and in the rough which could use some attention. I did not have many cut greens so difficult to be be critical of the greens. Sprinklers going in the fairways, so they were very wet at times, but otherwise no complaints (Important to note that I teed off at 6:16 and finished before 8:00, so maintainence did not really have much of an opportunity to prepare the course.

Staff was fine and accomodating to allow me to zip around quickly, which is always very much appreciated
