The greens were still healing when we played there last Sunday. The bunkers were OK. The teeing grounds where OK. The fairways are just fine. All in all it was a good day at Desert Falls. Definitely a fun course to play. Well, even though I did not play well that day.

Played last Sunday while on a family trip. 1st tee time at 6am and was paired with a nice guy from Carlsbad. POP was 2:45 - yes!
Staff was pleasant and laid back. Starter gave us overview of the course and was quite generous in providing information on the course once he found out we were both 1st timers.

They had a big practice area. Putting green, chipping, bunkers. I didnt go to the driving range which was a drive from the 1st tee so i hanged out at the putting greens.
Carts did not have GPSs so it helps to bring your own.

Course is quite enjoyable to play. Starting off the first tee with a dogleg hole with greens guarded by water and bunkers. Fairways are lush, wide and forgiving - my perfect combo. Greens are medium speed with mild undulations. Most greens are spotless except for 1 short par3 that shows a lot of ball marks.

Bunkers seem well stock although i did see one or 2 that was a bit on the thin side.

Overall - really fun to play. highly recommended.

1st time here, played on a GolfNow $29 deal. Played the blues (6687/72.3/127), teeing off @ 3pm, playing as a 2some with my father-in-law in 3H 45M. Really like the layout, lots of fun, challenging holes. Big undulating greens, elevation changes, plenty of lakes and palm trees, there were just a bunch of good golf holes. The greens were medium speed, putted smooth and were firm. The ball rolled well, but lurking just off the green was bermuda rough where you ball could sink into and provide challenges on chip shots. The fairways and rough were generally lush and well maintained. The tees were also generally lush and well maintained, no real bad tees chewed up anywhere. The sand traps had nice sand but many did not look like they were raked today. The customer service was a plus. Really liked the course layout, will definitely play here again when in the P.S. area.

In preparation for the re-seed on 23 Sep, the course has started to restrict some water in areas that will be winterized. As such fairways are fast and running, rough is long but very easy to hit from. It does hamper pace slightly, as looking for the ball now is a task. Everything is still nicely manicured and presented with the greens firm, true, and quick with just a few bumps around. Great staff and solid challenge. $18 for 18 holes.

Really a good time to get out and see it. Course will close Sept 22 for reseeding, so the 36/36 is extended through to then. Go play. We 'bounced back' on our 36 holes for $36 today at 0815,finishing at 1130. Greens have picked up some speed since last time, and smoothed out nicely. Fairways fast, rough lush and thick but easy to hit from. Good sand throughout and everywhere nicely manicured. Tees a little tired but fine. Solid layout, mix your tees up if you like a little more challenge.
Great service and staff. Worth a look.

Good maintenance, manicuring and presentation with enough challenge on healing greens. Go play.
