Pace of play was a disaster. Waited on every shot and gave up after 14 holes took a shade over 4 hours playing as a twosome.
Course was in a bit better shape than last week. Fairways a bit improved although still some gur and different growths sprouting up in addition to some burnt spots and occasional hardpan.
Greens were pretty good and generally smooth with only a few bumps. Seemed like there were a lot of old ball marks but well struck putts rolled pretty true. Traps in the fairway were hard packed and thin - they looked good around the greens.
Tees had been trimmed.
I would rate it as good overall.

Played 10/18/11. Course was in better shape than I had intended but still pretty bad. Starting from the very first tee box it was not mowed nor were any others that I recall but they were pretty level and I had no trouble teeing it up on any hole. The rough was extremely inconsistent in length, some areas being 5-6" tall and other areas around 1" but averaging about 3" throughout. The rough was extremely tough to play out of and be sure to hit down on the ball because the club head stops very shortly after contact with the grass. Fairways were nothing special and brownish/green and thin in areas but some lies were very lush. Greens rolled great all day. There were a ton of ball marks on some greens but it usually did not effect the roll and the greens were nice and fast. I always love the challenge here and has some great views but the condition of the course right now doesn't even make you think about pulling your camera out. I hope conditions improve and I really hope the winter does not wash away some of the course again. Still had a great time though and customer service was great and the cart girl came around at least 5 times.

Had a good time once again. Rough was extremely long (5") so it was better if you ended up in the bunkers. Good sand in green side bunkers so so in fairway bunkers. Will definitely be going back.

Played Sunday with the world's most depressing/negative golfer - he was in tears on the 16th tee (no joke).

Anyway, onto the course. Not sure where recent reviews were coming from, but conditions were average at best (5.5 generously). Tees - many needed a good mowing. Nice to see them so green but they were thicker than parts of the rough! As for the aforementioned, generally low and spotty - juicier around the greens.

Fairways - scruffy. No photogenic stripey mowings (that's the least of what they need). The re-sodded areas still look/grow like crabgrass and there were some big gurs (especially on #3 - par 5 fairway). Otherwise, tons of un-filled divots in the landing areas and all the cart-path only holes were very wet and spongy. Just goes to show how little rain is needed to make these holes markedly soggy.

Sand was generally crusty,on the thin side and full of rocks.

Greens were slowish to medium and bumpy so putts did not track that well. Also, lots of old or un-repaired marks making them look less than stellar. Fixed about 6-10 fresh ball marks per green.

Pace was average/slowish stuck behind the muddling/meddling foursome from......(well, pick just about any course these days.)

There was a mixed bag of good and bad today. I played great on one 9 and horrible on the other. The course was fun to play because it was lush and not hard pan dry like it has been in the past. This course must be soft and lush for me to be enjoyable. The greens were slow but rolled very well. I did not like the attitude of the starter today. If you want me so badly to join the group ahead have them wait for me! Its simple. I would like to play here soon again without seeing that starter however.

played AM 9/27/11. Surprisingly, considering the September heatwave, this course is in better condition than I ever remember. All the maintenance that I have observed over the last 6 months has been rewarded. The tee-boxes in particular are awesome - just need to be mowed a little shorter now the grass has grown in. Observing the fairways from the numerous elevated viewpoints around the course, you could see the checkerboard mowing patterns and the overall fine manicuring. The rough was not punitive and the sand, (according to playing partners, as I paid no visits there!), was very good too. Cart girl visited regularly and was very easy on the eyes! So, all in all, a very satisfying golf experience topped off by some tasty refreshments in the excellent restaurant.

Played 9-24 had a 7am tee time and got out right on time.Clubhouse is really nice and the staff was friendly and helpful. This is like playing two different courses. The front nine is target golf with a lot of elevation changes and the back nine is links like.
Tee boxes were nice mostly level and not beat up. Some of the fairways were really wet and soggy. When we got to #3 it was foggy! Thank god for the gps that showed where the group ahead was because we could not see 30 yards. Just had to hit it and hope to find it.
The bunkers were a little wet but with ample sand.
The greens had some pitch marks and I had a hard time finding the speed. Left 6 right on the edge of the hole.
Pace of play was perfect. Only waited once on a par 3. Finished in 4 hrs 15 minutes.
Overall a nice track and I will be back

Played yesterday (9/5/11) internet $49.00. Course was in very good shape. Pace of play was 4.25 hrs, whitch was ok. One thing unfixed ball marks, we fixed at least four NEW ball marks (not including ours) on almost every green. Please, it takes so little time to fix your own, or are just too good to bend over and fix it? Didn't play well (87), but not because of the course. We played the combo on the card (black/gold) and a very good time was had by all.
