Played on Patriot Day - GCGC is a sponsoring club although there was no obvious promotion that I could see. Golf course was in great condition as ever. The day before, it had hosted an Inland Empire amateur event. There was no posted 'pin position' board. When asked, the marshall said they had left the pin placements as they were for the championship event. I expected every flag to be in 'impossible' places but they were not too bad. Mostly they were moved way back although on the holes where they have a 'championship tee', they were quite accessible. Needless to say, we did not use those back tees although my playing partners could have - they hit it a mile. On 18, one of them drove it over 300 yards - and he was wearing flip-flops - I kid you not! Surprisingly for a holiday, pace of play was outstanding - under 4 hours.

Love this course and have played it 80% of the time over other course during the past 3 years. Played 9/1 foursome behind a threesome and another foursome behind us. Group 1 & 1/2 holes behind and threesome 1 & 1/2 ahead. Very young marshall hit us on the 12 th hole and said we had to push to keep up with threesome ahead of us. Continued to monitor our play thru the 13th,14th,& 15th finished 4 hours 10 minutes. We were not the problem for the show play well behind us. Marshall should be retrained and for us no more sorry guys.

Another great day at the Goose. Called for a twilight time for a twosome, and got out right away. It was a hot day, but there was still plenty of activity on the course....which, as usual, was in immaculate shape. Total time was 3.5 hours for two 100+ shooters, which made the heat bearable and the track even that much more fun. If I lived in the Inland Empire, I would want this to be my home course!

Not sure why it took you so long to finish. Maybe better next time. Oh yeah, course is in good condition, they are getting ready for the inland empire tournament this weekend.

There does not seemto be any sense of urgency on the part of the staff to encourage pace of play? The staff in the pro shop was not friendy at all. Not that he was rude, just "sour" not personality what-so -ever! As much as I love this course, those factors will weigh into me decsion to return again soon

Glowing reviews on GK for this place are a borderline cliche at this point but what else can you say when conditions are this good at this price?

Has to be the greenest course within a 50 mile radius. Also, the best greens I have putted on this summer in the IE - receptive to good shots, they were still smooth and fast. Finally!

Sand was a wee bit firm and crusted in places but that is just really splitting hairs. Played 36 holes - morning round a shade over 4 hours as a foursome. Afternoon round a shade under 3 - never really had to wait on any shot.

Tee'ed off 8/21 (at) 7:30 and finished in less than 4 hours. Great pace for a Sunday morning. Have not played here in about a month and was really missing it. There is nothing to complain about here.... Continue »

Tee'ed off 8/21 (at) 7:30 and finished in less than 4 hours. Great pace for a Sunday morning. Have not played here in about a month and was really missing it. There is nothing to complain about here. From the guys at the checkin to the cart barn customer service is just plain great.
There is one green that has a little problem on the front edge but other than that the course is in great shape. Kudos to the people who play here for fixing fairway divots and ball marks on the greens. I will be back really soon.

The course is in amazing shape. It has been a very long time since I played here last and I have been wanting to get back out there for over a year and I was a fool for waiting so long. Tee Boxes were 100% level and mowed perfect, fairways were perfect with only some grass clippings on a couple and I never had a bad lie in the rough. I was in 2 bunkers and one was very soft and fluffy and the other was kind of hard but still better than most courses. Greens were PERFECT!!!! Firm but held shots, fast, and no ball marks or debris. Carts are only equipped with the green details and greens are broken up into 4 sections so on the first hole make sure you pay attention to what number the position the greens are playing. The course is very quite and no immediate houses lining the course except a couple on the 17th hole. Pace of play was awesome at 3-1/2 hours and we never had to wait for a shot until the 18th hole and it was only about a minute wait. I will be back very soon.

Played on Tuesday 8/2. The course was in incredible shape, even better then when I played in six days prior. We were the first group out after the PGA I.E. chapter championship and I have to say I have never seen the greens this good, tough locations and smooth. The prior round the greens were very slow, but yesterday they were perfect. The sand was a little on the hard side but playable. The fairways and tee boxes were very manicured and the rough was as consistant as rough can be. Played in 4 hours and was held up on our approach shots on 17 as the tournament ahead of us was hitting their tee shots on the second hole of a playoff. I can't get enough of this place.
