Otherwise, course was in great shape, a little dry and running so careful on the run out after landing. 17 is my favorite here, what a beautimus view. I really don't care much for 13. Iron off the tee and if it runs, that's a stroke. Getting penalized for hitting the fairway....uh yeah, no.

Now if they just do something about the cellphone signal, I need the GPS help. But wait, then I would get calls......never mind.

This course has a little bit of everything. there are 2 wacky holes and 1 of them is #18. The pace of play is great and the layout and views are unbeatable. The greens were true, just be sure to pay attention to the grain if they are rolling slow. The wind can make this course even more challenging. This is one of my favorite courses out there for the money

Played 1/28/14 with fellow GK'er jerry64 using the GK coupon for round + Cart + free replay. Review will cover both course condition and customer service, unfortunately one didn't keep pace with the other. Jerry had to bail out after 27 (his back started bothering him) but I was able to get around twice. Have to say the deal is outstanding - $40 is less than the rack rate for 18, so getting 36 in is definitely a bargain. Overall, course is in pretty good shape for winter. Fairways were pretty good, a little tight but that's normal this time of year and only had a couple bad spots. A few places were over-watered (you could bring water up by walking) but even in those areas it didn't pose a problem. Rough varied in length and thickness and occasionally patchy but if didn't stray too far off the fairway was pretty playable. Greens rolled great and were quicker than expected - probably a good foot or two faster then the practice green. Fairly firm but still held shots well. Bunkers were pretty wet and heavy, only dried out a little as the day progressed. POP for the first 18 was excellent. This course is not really conducive to fast play but we teed off at 8:05 and finished 18 at 11:25 - 3 hours 20 minutes on this track is exceptional. We were able to go straight out for the replay round with no delay. Starter said a group of 48 had "no-showed" and the course was wide open. While getting ready on the 1st tee a single showed up (Derreck), said the starter sent him out to join up with his because his tee time was about an hour later but due to the "no show" group he could just go ahead. No one in sight so we're thinking we could finish up by about 3. Not so fast bucko. As we were on #1 green we see the Marshal go by leading 3 carts with 6 players past us. Hmmm, something seems a little funny. As we're approaching the 2nd green the Marshal comes by AGAIN with 3 more carts. Come to find out, the "no show" group finally arrive about an hour and 2 minutes late, and they decided to run them out to some of the open holes - to make things worse, they didn't take them to the holes they SHOULD have been on, instead they put them just in front of us! Needless to say we were not very happy. While jerry64 and I were on our replay round and knew we could get delayed, Derreck was seriously pissed. Can't say that I blame him, he was there early ready to go and therefore was sent out early with a chance to play at a good pace. As he told both the Marshal and Club Pro, "If I had missed my time I'd just have to wait and get squeezed in whenever there was space" To no ones surprise, pace of play slowed tremendously. The 1st group (3 in front of us) wasn't bad as they opened up nearly a 2 hole gap be the time we hit #12. However, the 2 groups in front took their sweet time. When the reached the green, you'd have thought they were playing for some serious $$$ because they took FOREVER (average time per green varied from 11-14 minutes!). To add insult to injury, I don't think they fixed a single ball mark on the greens. We probably fixed 8-12 fresh marks on EVERY hole. When we got to 17 (par 3) both groups were at/on the green at the same time, laughing and goofing around, even though the group in front was already getting ready to hit their 2nd shot on 18. We jumped in front, spent several minutes waiting in the fairway before hitting our approach shots and only then did the get to the tee. I feel the course management handled this situation badly and only did this because they were getting full rack rate green fees for this group. Apparently only a fraction showed (somewhere between 12-17 total) so it's not like they couldn't have fit them in. While I really enjoyed the course, I am a little hesitant to go back as this snafu kinda left a bad taste. I'll likely give them 1 more chance, but if something like this happened again it would take an awfully good deal (and good playing partners) to get me back.

Enjoyed the bucolic quiet and beautiful setting in the Temecula Hills. Did not enjoy the design of the greens and the fast speeds. The pace of play was excellant and the service great.

Played Sat.Nov. 30th. Pace of play was good considering we teed of around noon. A little over 4 hours. Course was in great shape, greens were very fast, to the point of having to putt carefully. Putts rolled true. Staff was great, with good deals in the pro shop. Will definitely play again.

First time at Cross Creek on a club trip and really enjoyed everything about it. GM welcomed us as we prepared to head out on a shotgun and promised the first two pitchers when we finished. Very cool. Cute and friendly cart girl made the day, too. The course has some quirks which is not a knock, just sayin'. Do need to be straight off the tee and there are some forced carries which made it a tough day for a senior in our group, so be aware of that when you select your tee. Greens are completely healed from aeration and were as good as it gets ... very, very fast after this warm weather and difficult to manage, especially if you've not played the course before.

A bit off the beaten path but worth the drive if you're in this neck of the woods. Think I paid $80 w/cart. Recommended.

Played Cross Creek on Sunday 10/13. This course seems to be very underrated. I cant imagine how great of a round it would be here if the conditions were at its peak!! The drive to the course is a little wacky after u get off the freeway and u feel like your in the middle of no where when you arrive. The part i appreciated most about the course is the fact that we were pretty much the only ones on the course and there is no car noise, just nice silence. The layout is interesting with some plain holes and some great holes. By far the best hole is the Par 3 17th that gave me a feel i was in Amen Corner. Course conditions were fair. If the course was perfectly maintained it would be a special place to play. The worst part of the course was the greens which was expected after being punched a week before. Its a great value and will be a great course when they get the little maintenance errors fixed.

Played 10/4/2013 in the AM. Great layout, but the management has problems. Tee boxes are terrible. With so many tee boxes (5 on each hole), I don't understand the problem. You should be able to close one at a time to improve condition - this is low hanging fruit. Fairways were just OK - thin in many areas, with some spots of pure dirt. Greens are about to get punched so no issues with letting it get a bit thick.
People will drive to this place, but only if the conditions warrant the trip. Don't let the death spiral occur where poor conditions lead to lower revenue, leading to less maintenance, leading to poorer condition, leading to even lower revenue, etc.

Played Crosscreek on Wednesday Sept 11th. Course is in good shape fairways are still lush with little burn and decent run. Rough is 2-3 inches and lush, with varying lies down or up. It is thick and will grab your club head so you will need to use some effort to recover with a good shot. Tees and med to firm with good cover, only minor damage from divots on the par 3 holes.
My two complaints for this round had to be the condition of the bunkers, extremely wet and heavy, several had large puddles from watering over spray that need to be addressed by changing the water patterns on the holes in question. Greens were by far the worst part of the course on this day. Several ball marks that were not repaired or repaired incorrectly, long shaggy greens that were rolling maybe 9 and several holes that true lines were not any where close to being available unless serious work was performed prior to putting.
Practice facilities were well taken care of with ample space to warm up and practice on the green. Practice green was running much faster than the course so big changes had to be made quickly for speed and condition. The course however remains a great fixture for IE golf and would recommend playing it, I would be back
