Had not played here in over a year and it will probably be that long again. Course is nice but no marshal, they sent people out on the back nine and later switched to the front nine, 5 1/2 hours on a weekday. Group in front of us had 4 people but only 2 bags, they shared clubs. If all courses ran this way I would have to give up playing, absolutely horrible

very senic, definatly worth the fee!! carts suck.. broke down back nine had to wait for replacement.. took ten min. i'll play again

This was a pleasant surprise. The course was in great condition. Tee to green, what a nice track. First time players, should play from the white tees. Learn the the lay-out and read the card with the info for shot making. ie: hit an iron off the tee. This will really help.

We played Dos Lagos on Saturday, September 19 with a early afternoon tee time. The course was not overcrowded and considering the outside temps hitting well into the 90 degree mark, no wonder. It's unfortunate that they don't have a driving range with all the land there. That said, we hit the links. This course has some very interesting elavation changes and water comes into play on several holes. The fairways were in VERY nice condition considering the draught and the greens looked good as well. Holes 15 through 17 are a real challange and I'd suggest you take an extra sleeve or two as it's easy to lose a few on these holes. The rough, that's another story. You hit it in the rough, good luck finding it in some cases. When you DO find it, be prepared to hit out of what amounts to a "pillow." The ball sits way down and that stuff is extremely fluffy! Our round took right at about four hours to play with only a little bit of a hold up on a couple of holes. "Nick", in the group ahead of us,(that's what we dubbed him), was looking for his ball on several of the holes and was the major cause of the hold ups. The 1/2 pound hotdogs at the clubhouse are worth the drive and they always have beer specials! The customer service was great as well!!It's a drive from Irvine, but I know I'll be back!

Round started out nice on the front 9, then winds seem to blow hard on the back 9. Conditions are great, just watch the wind, as it will affect your flight and distances. Rough is very fluffy, and both fairway and greens are great. Pace was good, about 3 1/2 hours. Course starts out easy, then gets tougher as you go. Bring a few extra balls.

If you play from the black tees, you'll find it difficult to know where to go though and where to tee off even. I'm guessing they are still developing this course or something. Nice fairways and greens. It's always a bit windy though no matter when you play.

Overall layout was ok. A few really great looking holes with elevated tee boxes are probably the highlights. If the course conditions were better, I'd be willing to give it a second round.

As of the time I played, the conditions were disappointing for such a potentially great looking course. The other players in my group were also first-timers and agreed that they wouldn't be coming back under current conditions.



Cons

1. No driving range
2. Actual greens on the course were very slow and not close to the condition or speed of the practice green.
3. Pace of play was extremely slow. Played a foursome and took over 5 hours to finish.
4. Some really soggy fairways on at least a few holes in the middle of the afternoon. Not sure why.
5. 1st cut rough was fairly deep and much more difficult to get out of than any 1st cut I've played in the area.

Bottom Line: Fairly young course that perhaps needs time to mature. If conditions improve, it would be worth a round at least. Until I hear that they have, I won't be back.
