Played Dos Lagos 1-16-10. I play many courses in the Corona - Temecula Corridor. I am not sure what the last review by Putt4dough is all about. He said the golf conditions and maintenance were not up to par but did not give details. Well I can tell you the greens are the best around, while tough they are in great shape - yeah there are some ball marks but what course doesn't have them. What they don't have are dead spots or diseases, or old ball marks that have not healed. The fairways while starting to turn yellow because of the cool weather are still great and thick to play out the color doesn't matter it's just what bermuda does. The tee boxes are ok - not great but again as good as any other course and better than many. I think for the money this is the best course around, as many others do from the play they get, they are definately getting more rounds there than I see at the other courses I play. They do have some drawbacks - no range is one but there is one down the road about 1/4 mile. They don't have a permanent clubhouse but they do have a clubhouse that does the trick and they have some great hot dog, sandwich and beer deals. They don't do much customer service as for loading clubs, or cleaning clubs at the end of the round, but if they did they might have to have higher rates - I would rather pay for golf I can load and clean my own clubs. Again this is one of my favorite courses, it's in great shape always, - sometimes just too busy.

I hope they survive these tough economic times and bring back this course to its planned desire. I really like the layout, and will play there again, but not until they can maintain the course conditions.

played on 1/7 thursday at noonish. drove from the oc. got web rate of $33/player. the clubhouse is a trailer but is fine with me. the pro at the counter was cordial. got us out in time. course is pretty good condition for winter. tee boxes flat with little divot marks. the fairways are offseason yellow but full throughout at same time forgiving. greens were fast with some ball marks. good prices on the food at the turn. staff in snack bar was very courteous. the course played tough on some, but had some scoring holes. finished round in 4 hrs and home in time to watch bcs game. overall, a great experience. good prices all around. worth the drive from the oc. will patron many times over in the future.

Because of the time of year it is, the course is thin in the fairways and rough, but actually very playable. The greens are running pretty quick and they had pins in some brutal spots on the very undulated greens which made it hard to score, but that's the way it should be (some days).

Always fun with no two holes the same. It's more bare-bones golf and that's the way I like it. I don't need a fancy 4 million dollar clubhouse, a starter at the first tee every day, gps on the carts or carved stones with hole descriptions and yardages, (all of which raises one's green fees to $60 and above), -just good golf holes and nice conditions for a fair price.

This is a good place to have fun.

Played 12/20 morning. small groups of grandpa tournament slowing every group behind them. Coffee shop didn't have milk/cream for the coffee in the morning!!??!! Greens and tee boxes conditions were good. Fairways very thin. Took 5 and 1/2 hours to finish. but enjoyed the course with my buddies. Wish more golf players should know basic public course golf course etiquet.

Played at Dos Lagos the morning of 12/11/09 and had a great time. It was the first time my buddies and I have played at DL. We experienced great service by the entire staff. Based on the current tournament going on, the staff moved us up to play the back nine first, which was great (wide open) I was very impressed by the course and layout (beautiful views) This course really challenged all of us....That Monster Dog was very good, wash it down with a brew! We will definetely go back!

Played Dos Lagos the day after thanksgiving. Our tee time was 10:50 but, due to it being one of the busiest days to play, they were behind 45 min. No fault of theirs. The course was decent...nothing great that stood out and nothing really to complain about. Fairways and greens were both pretty normal and the sand, sans some wet spots, was good. I was very pleased with the price to play: $59.

Played Dos Lagos for the first time today. I was aware of the lack of driving range and limited food service (hot dogs, beer soda, and chips) so this didn't bother me. The course is in good shape with the exception of too many unrepaired divots on the green, and thin fairways on some holes. Greens are soft but fast and they roll true. Overall, I was pleased with the condtions; especially for the price.

I really did not like the layout. Blind tee shots, narrow fairways with doglegs,and extreme elevation changes all day long is not my idea of a good time. Two of the par 3's are a gap/pitching wedge distance which is weak, and then you come across a 230 yd par 3 with mulitiple tier greens! The 614 par 5 (580 from the whites) was not only long but you can't see the green on your approach because of the extreme uphill elevation change. Maybe if I played here regularly the course might grow on me but this just wasn't a good time for me.

The cart girl was friendly and came by often and the rest of the staff did a good job but the layout is going to keep me from coming back.
