I think when I first played here a year ago, the greens were really quick, which is a delight. Played this week and the greens were like sponge. You have to really hit it to get it anywhere near the hole. On some of the holes, it has a white flag, but pin was in the back of the green. I thought California was in drought, but couldn't tell from this course. There was casual water in certain spots, and many fairways were overwatered and thus soggy and muddy.

You get total value for your dollar at this course Staff is great and they really go out of their way to make it a good time.

Now to the good stuff - The new pro shop is nice - not fancy but I watched the Masters on Two 52 inch TV's. I had a Hot Dog and Beer that no one can match maybe only in Texas. For the same price for hot dogs and beer at other courses they give you a dog bigger than the dodger dog, and the beer is almost a pitcher for the same price as a small one at other courses.

The course is nice and always a challenge, as the last post said it is dormant because of the winter but looks like it is coming back nicely.

Played 4/10 (at) about 11: 30. The good news is the “Club house is open”. The bad news is it’s not much of a club house. There is room for improvement, and I expect that they will get it all perfect, in no time at all, for what they have to work with, . Wow what a hot dog. Please do something about being able to get more than one person at a time to the practice putting green. Now for the course, once again it seems to be in a complete dormant stage, very thin fairways, and very brown. The bunkers were filled with very fine sand, great job guys. The greens were punched and very slow. But it is that time of year, so deal with it folks.

The course was in so-so condition, thin fairways, divots in greens , if you don't mind playing the same 9 holes twice. This was due to aeration of greens. My problem is with the management of the GC. I called three times the week before our scheduled round, about any possible " punching of the greens" , and was told none was scheduled. We arrived Monday morning, and found that the front was closed, due to aeration. We played the back twice, but got separated from our first group at the turn, and waited on every hole on the "back"side. BAD experience will not go back.

Course is in very good shape and overall is a very nice golf course. For the price well worth it.

Course is in very good shape and overall is a very nice golf course. For the price well worth it.

Issue with the course is the greens. It seems that they built these by burying old VW bugs under the green and leaving them exposed. These are some of the most severe undulations around. You don't need to put a burm or mound in the middle or side of the green to make it challenging. For the average golfer these greens are brutal to putt on. You can have putts up a hill, down a hill, around a mogul (you skiers will feel right at home), etc. Overall layout is not too bad but they crammed the course into as little acreage as possible. Bring a hard hat on back side (actually played as first holes). You can get KILLED if not carefull. Also, would not want to play this course in the wind at all. Some hole layouts don't make a lot of sense, especially as you get to front side (which is probably why they switched it up and you play course starting with hole #10).

General Opinion - If you can't putt VERY WELL, don't waste the aggrevation of this course. That is the difficulty of the course. Does not get interesting until you get on the green, then look out..... Also, they had ALL THE TEE BOXES when I played (Sun 3/22) WAY WAY UP. Played the blues and on almost ALL holes was playing from Whites and actually from the REDS on a bunch of holes (par 3's in particular). No black markers to even jump back to. Course is way too short to do that for the players that can hit the ball off the tee, although you can't really challenge a couple of par 5's in 2 due to design, but no big deal. Overall though a nice course in good shape. Although, folks playing there recently had no desire to repair a ball mark, as the greens were littered with them.

Course was in good shape, decent greens and lots of run on fairways, great value. Now the bad...5+ hours, no driving range and putting green is across a bridge way down by the 1st hole. They don't want you to take a cart down there because of cart congestion. So because of what seems to be overbooking you stand around and wait with nothing to do to kill the time. Oh and no club house. Play 2 weekend rounds in March and same both times. Too bad because it's a great layout and some what challenging.

First time playing this course. Course is in fine shape. Only complaint was slow play. Only saw the marshal once after teeing off. We started around 2 and finished right at nightfall around 7 or so. We would not have finished except two players from our group left after the first 9, and a player or two left the groups ahead of us. They are starting groups on the back 9 now, which is fine by me as the front 9 is pretty tough. Also, yes there is no driving range and the "clubhouse" is a trailer, but I knew this going in and it's no big deal.

Played Dos Lagos 2 Jan 09 and the course was very good. The greens and sand traps were great. The fairways were dry and very thin probably due to the winter season. Weather was great as many other courses were in severe fog conditions. We played behind a five some and they were very slow. The player assistant talked to them once and they speeded up for several holes then slowed down again. The 18 hole round took 4 hours and 55 minutes way too long. We were told that Dos Logos allows five somes if they keep up with the group in front of them but this was not the case this Saturday. I question why allow five somes in the first place. MAX! should be four players and shoot for four hours or a max of 4 hours twenty minutes. Other wise enjoyed the golf in So. Calif in January. Thanks.
