New course, as a result trees not mature, as a result not much shade making it unpleasant playing in hot weather. Played on 9/6 as part of a tournament, slow play (our fault). No driving range and no club house, bungalo to be built soon. Permenant clubhouse won't happen till economy changes. Front nine tight; back nine hilly. Fairways lush considering the hot weather. Greens were fast and firm, some divot marks. Overall a fun layout, will be a good course and worth its fees when it matures, and once they get a driving range and clubhouse.

Played on 09/07/08 with a tee time of 08:45am. The course was packed and we didn't tee off until after 09:15am. Once underway,we had a great time. Cart girls were there everytime we needed them. D... Continue »

Played on Labor day so the first tee was backed up, we started 1/2 hour late and play was slow, but that was to be expected on a holiday and I was prepared for it.

As for the course it is in the best shape of all the corses that I have played in the last month except maybe Empire Lakes. There still isn't a club house but the cart girl came by often and they had honor coolers on many holes (free would have been better) They also make and sell a great freh turkey sandwhich.

What a great clear beautiful day August 19th was. The temp was in the low 80's and so was my score. My best golf bud and I rolled into the parking lot for an 12:30 tee time, and were jazzed to see bright green rolling fairways and a sparse parking lot.We had the whole course to ourselves! We played 36 holes in a tight match, stopping our cart at times in wonderment of the scenery, all the while no one in front or behind us. It was a pleasure to putt on evenly mowed nice looking greens, although some of the breaks are pretty tricky. TO THOSE WHO HIT THE GREENS IN REGULATION-1) the ball will not hold unless you hit it high or put some sauce on it 2) fix your ball marks-
these are "new" greens and deserve respect!
All in all, Dos Lagos is a pretty cool layout-a good mix of short and long par threes and fours. Some uphill, some downhill. 12 and 13 are really tough -can someone say AMEN?
I should write a bad reveiw in hopes that you stay away and keep that parking lot sparse, but I can't because us golfers like to share good experiences at good tracks. It is fair value for the money. One more thing-can't wait for the new double-wide clubhouse to be trucked in-perhaps we'll have indoor restrooms!

Played on Aug 13. Had an 11:15 tee time, got off half an hour early at $35... best deal I've seen so far for a mid-day rate. It was free for me since it was my B-day and I was treated to a great day for golf. This course isn't spectacular, and it's not extremely difficult, but it does have it's tricks and character. Nothing like playing on a great kept course... so far. If they can keep away the madness of city players and maintain the condtions I got to play in, this can be a great hidden gem. The greens were rolling nice, but slower than from what I was told. Holes 5 and 16 are tricky, but make you think and choose your tee shots. Loved it here, especially when we were able to finish in 4 hours. Could have finished in 3 if we weren't taking our time learning the course and playing two balls after about 12 holes. It was a fun place and will definitely return... so long Trilogy.
