How can you not like Oak Quarry? Even though the greens were a bit "chewed up" and fairway are getting browned out on preparation for the overseeding, the course was a pleausre to play. Love the layout, staff was excellent and with good company, a real pleasant day on the links.

Great shape. Saw a few Goose Creek Saturday regulars out at The Quarry. This is due to the Goose getting its yearly facelift. Oak Quarry always satisfies the urge for variety. Fairways have been prettier in the past, but never so lush. Very few thin spots. Greens rolled pretty well...not very fast...a bit bumpy...but very playable. I wish the GK coupon had not expired at the end of September...could have saved my group $80.00. That's almost two tanks of gas. $95.00 might be a wee bit steep now...Saturday or not. The economy is hitting everybody. We need to see more "frequent player" deals, Hank!!!

Played with a former mlb pitcher and he played from the blacks drove it 300+ and hit the center of the fairways. kept up with him on the frount 9 from the whites with a 39, then the second round in two days in 100+ degree heat got me. 48 on the back just killed the day. Marshalls were around at least 4 times and kept things going. The group in front of us was terriable and played from the blues. still played in 4 and a quater hours so i really couldnt complain.

The course was in pretty good condition considering the season. Beautiful scenery and challenging narrow fairways. Nice variety of lay outs.

The greens were pretty chewed up, looked like from cleats being drug around. Probably from a tournament the day before. Biggest complaint was the rangers weren't interested in being effective. They were VERY nice and friendly. But when we complained about having to follow an excruciatingly slow foursome for 8 holes all they did was laugh and drive on their way- behind us. Happened twice.

Played in a scramble tournament on Saturday. The course was in better condition than I expected. The greens were in fairly good condition, if it weren't for all the spike marks they would have been really good. The course itself is pleasing to the eye. Spectacular views from many parts of the course. This is a must play if you have not been out here. There were only a couple dry spots in the fairways, otherwise they were in great condition.
There was a nice breeze all day which kept it comfortable, we did not go short on beverages although! They have an ice chest on the carts and ball washers, and nice GPS. Friendly staff, well run event.

Took visiting dad and uncle for a treat on 9/16/08 in AM. Course played great from whites with ample landing areas and not overly fast greens. Longest holes were nice with elevated tees and downhill... Continue »

Website gave good tips. Appreciated delivery of wet towels when temps began to rise. Will play again.

Very challenging layout course with many good amenities. Every hole is well designed and bunkered.

So here is the bad news: Terrible greens that cannot even meet the municipal course level. The speed is very slow and the condition is plain poor with plenty of spikes and unfixed ball marks all over the place. They jammed pack the players so close that there are 3 groups of 4-somes waiting on every par-3. It took us 5 1/2 hours to finish the round.

I really want to return but I'd have to wait for consistent good news on greens.

I do love the layout and scenery. Please, someone do something about the greens and marshaling.

Played the course this morning, 3rd off, finished in 3 1/2 hrs! The course is in great shape, greens a touch slow but only took 2 holes to adjust, shot a nice round of 76 from the blues with a double bogey on the quirky 6th hole. Service was top notch, attendant met us in the parking lot, knew our names, took our bags, put a nice bag tag on it. The starter gave us lots of info. Lots and lots of bunkers, GPS on the carts was VERY helpful, didnt use driver much on this course as its not needed much. I would recommend this course to anyone that wants to play a nice course with great service.
