Great course in excellent condition. Aerated/reseeded two to four weeks ago so several greens were a little soft (two more weeks and all greens should be firm), but overall the greens are nice, rolls smooth, medium fast (tough to read). Fairways are lush, teeboxes are excellent. Played 03/28 in 4 hrs.

Played march 1st saturday at noon. Maybe I expected too much viewing rate of GK +8 point but I think it;s overrated cause I've seen better conditions than right now.From the beginning they delayed 15 minutes cause short of carts waiting coming in carts from 18 th hole and we 4 some changed 2 carts out of battery .My changed cart doesn't have the GPS so I played without gps from 4th hole. My other buddie's changed cart died at 17th hole so we had to push.
Some greens had small bare spots ,rolled true but not so fast as I expected.Fairways & tee boxes O.K.

Played on 2/27 and course was in pristine condition, but this will change when the aerification program starts next week. It won't be terrible as they have a nice program, I believe they only do two ... Continue »

Played on 2/27 and course was in pristine condition, but this will change when the aerification program starts next week. It won't be terrible as they have a nice program, I believe they only do two greens per week; one on front and one on back; so the rest of the course will be very good. Great layout, very well designed offering challenges to low handicappers while not being impossible to play for the average hackers. Customer service is tops and the cart girl is always there when you need her with a great attitude and warm personality. This is one of my favorite tracks just wish it were a little less expensive, though with Roger Dunn card it is more than worth the money. It is a definite must play course, nice secluded feel on most of the holes.

Whoa!! Who "oiled" the greens at Oak Quarry?? They were fast! Not "lightning fast" - but pretty darned quick! They rolled as true as I have ever seen them roll...no lumps or bumps or jumps...and just as pretty and green and smooth as they could ever be! And they held all shots well, too. (There was a bit of wind in the early part of our round (8:28 A.M. start-time today (Saturday)...we started right on time!) Including the low-punch shots that the wind made necessary. People really seem to be fixing their ball-marks...there were very few "extras" that required our attention.

The wind died down and it became the perfect day for golf....sunny, warm, 3.75 hours to play 18 holes (the way golf SHOULD be played...really a great pace...never had to wait on a single shot after the first hole...and we never saw the group behind us!!)

The fairways, for the most part, are as green and lush as they have ever been. VERY FEW thin lies. The rough is just long-enough so you know it's there...but not punishing. The bunkers that were the thinnest (a few weeks back) now have new sand in them and are very nice. A BIG improvement!

I think playing two full strokes under my current index helped my attitude to stay positive!!

The God's-honest truth: Right now...if somebody asks me, "Hey, Cheese...where do you wanna play...??" - I'm gonna say "Oak Quarry". No complaints...worth the drive and the greens-fees!

First I must say that the course is beautiful. It is a fair test of golf with no quirky or just plain stupid holes. Some bunkers are bare from time to time, but the winds kick up in the afternoon making it understandably difficult to retain sand. The grass is always in top notch shape. Hats off to the greens keeper.
The staff is also top-notch. From the greeting at the front desk to the ride out by the cart barn staff, these people know customer service.
It is a shame that it takes so long to play. I have played five times in the last two months and I have not completed a round in under five hours. My cart has been dead or dying each time. This probably can account for the consistency of the wait times. I won't be back any time soon because any round of golf at any course stops being enjoyable when you are waiting four deep on the 14th or pushing your cart.

I wish this course was in my backyard! Oak Quarry rocks as the best course I've played in the SoCal area. The signature hole is awesome - but playing from the tips is a real treat! I played with a ... Continue »

I wish this course was in my backyard! Oak Quarry rocks as the best course I've played in the SoCal area. The signature hole is awesome - but playing from the tips is a real treat! I played with a couple newcomers to golf and well, although they loved the course, it was brutal! Long carries are needed on several holes. The greens were fairly fast and true. Very helpful to be below the pin. There are a couple blind shots, but the yardage books are very helpful. We had a morning tee time, finished 18, had lunch and paid $30 to replay!

The ONLY complaint I can say....was about the sand. There is no "sand" - but some coarse granular substitute! For a course of this quality, I would expect some fluffy stuff.
