Played Soboba May 10th for the first time since the renovation and it's PURE! Soboba is now the best golf course in the area. I read another review that said, "At $49 it's kinda pricey." You gottsta be kidding. You absolutely cannot find a better bargin, and it's only $65 on the weekend!! They put millions into this course and are only charging $65 on the weekend! Soboba is the new king of the area.....and beyond!
Soboba is obvioulsy dedicated to providing great golf. Wow.

The course has four sets of tees to accomodate all golfer levels and is a very challenging course with a lot of trees, water and beautifully landscaped.

Has been completely rebuilt since the new owners purchased it. It is now definately a lush country club that is open to the public. It has a lush driving range (all grass tees). The new 2 story clubhouse is being built and the old one is still in use with a restaurant and bar serving great food at a very reasonable price. The practice putting green is not yet in. It used to be where the new clubhouse is being built.

If you can,you gotta play Soboba soon, It is in almost perfect shape,greens are lightly sanded, thank the golf god, as it slowed them down a little bit, but not too much. Tough track,cant believe its only a 125 slope from the blacks, {the blacks here are sorta the blues everywhere else} seems more like a 135. Everything is in lush shape. they are working on the new clubhouse, it doesnt bother the day. Cant say enough about the place right now. A little pricey,$49 , no senior rate, but once in awhile,right now is a treat. Make sure you dont get stuck behind the Mens club here, slower than you know what.

I played Soboba (now owned by Soboba tribe) and they spent alot of money on this course.. The Greens and fairways are alot better and the new white sand bunkers is sweeeeet.. I agree with several people who posted that the greens are very fast. I landed above the hole a few times and almost putted back off the green when I missed the hole. They paid like 10 million for this new clubhouse that will look great when it's done construction.. This course is really worth the drive and very enjoyable to play.

small note: The Club-house workers are very friendly and helpful and will let you play replays for cheap if the course is not booked up...

Casino is right down the street if you want to play cards or slots.. They upgraded the Casino and it looks awesome thanks to the new GM.

Played Soboba 2/8 and the course was in great shape all around. I hadn't played here since the renovations and let me tell you they did a great job. They removed the huge tree that was in the middle of the fairway on the old #16 now #7 which makes the hole much better to play. The sands traps are vry nice and the sand consistant. This course always had good greens and they still do. Take Johnny's tips for #11 and #18 be below the hole unless you want to three putt! I played #11 to perfection leaving the ball 7 in. from the hole with a flop my buddy was a the back of the green for a three putt. I really mmade a mess of #18 tried a flop to much release and above the hole for a four putt that green and the pin placement was evil. The pin was placed right side center and on a slope you want to putt past the hole so your ball will atleast stop and not roll back to where you began. What will make #18 green worth the agony? When they finish the Clubhouse after you three putt the green you can sit on the balcony with a beer and watch everyone else make a mess of that green grinnin' all the way. You must try Soboba if you haven't I promise you will like it!

Course nice for the fee, only problem drive from OC/LA area, took almost 2 hours on the way home, probably because of 215 closing.

Played on 1/20. The course is in nice shape. The greens are rolling fast and true. I was above the hole on the 'back to front' sloping 13th and 18th and payed the price in an ugly way. The rough is low right now which is usually one of its defenses. The fairways are green - not lush - but green. Tee boxes are nice although I was having a hard time sticking a 'broken' tee in on the par-3's. Keep some short tees on hand. I never played this course before the renovations of '05, but I've played it roughly 6-7 times since and always enjoy the track. It will be nice when the new clubhouse is built and they get a practice green.

As expected there was a frost delay and we were informed by the starter that there would be a 10:00 AM shotgun for all groups that had not been allowed out. Figured we were in for a long day. Could not have been farther from the truth as we breezed through 18 holes in just over four hours. Having not been here for almost six years I was very surprised with the amount of work put in to this place. Fairways, traps, tee boxes and greens were almost perfect. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. I will definitely become a regular at this place.

It seems that no one has really played this course recently and posted any sort of review. I played this course on 1/7 after running away from the 50mph winds at Sierra Lakes and the conditions were immaculate. I had played it this past Sept. after hearing about the renovations and the new added bunkers and was not impressed, being that I had played this course quite a few times previously before the changes (the greens were spotty, dried out and fungus growth.) What a huge difference these past few months have made. Much to my amazement the wind conditions were dead calm, the course was wide open, and the course was in great form. Tee boxes were great (I wish other courses would take note on how to have level teeboxes), fairways were not the most lush, but were green and not the dead/dormant grass that the rest of the courses have been experiencing due to the dry winter, and the greens were immaculate and surprisingly quick. The staff was one of the most friendly that I have yet to experience and the Marshall actually cared about our comments about the somewhat slow foursome ahead of us and was willing to take action. This has returned to be the lost gem of the I.E. that I enjoyed two years ago. I'd hate for this course to get so much attention that it get's overplayed like other courses in the Inland Empire, but for those who are willing to make the trek and play this course, it is well worth the drive and the fees. I can't wait to see what this will look like once the new clubhouse goes up.
