Oh my goodness....!!!! What a hell of a course!!! I can't believe there is such a nice course with such good staffing and service here in the inland empire, for such a reasonable price to boot!! You put this same exact course and staffing in the desert and you'd easily pay $80-$100, and happy to do so. This course is immaculate. And don't be deceived by the course rating; with the winds blowing, this course is no walk in the park by any means. I will be back, and back again!!

I have not played here since 2003. Wow! What a change!! The course was not only in the best condition I have seen it, this place is in the best condition of ANY course I have played in years. (That includes many private courses including Coto de Caza!) The re-design, which really is mostly bunkering is wonderful. I wish this course were closer, because everyone in our group simply loved it. We all walked (as we always do) even though carts are included in the green fees, and because this course is "walker friendly", it made it all the more enjoyable to play. Kudo's to whomever runs this course.... a great job.

new clubhouse is under construction, which impacts play at the course. there are still 18 holes, but they have a temporary par 3.

the greens were in pretty good shape, however, the rest of the course had a lot of bare spots, hardpan fairways and brown grass.

it looks like they're making a lot of changes - several new water features, ponds, waterfalls and the like. you can see that when they get done, the course should be pretty nice.

currently though, i'd consider other options in the area. the construction seems to be temporarily affecting the course conditions.

Then play 2-9 and finish on #1. The fairways are either dead, dying or hard pan...Bunkers were ok...Pace of play 5+ hours. I would rather play Diamond Valley or anywhere else...Paid $65 and got ripped off.

OHMIGOSH! High end OC courses please take a lesson from the staff at Soboba Springs! This course is a GEM! My husband and I have been so frustrated with our local courses charging top dollar for mediocore courses, with greens SO damaged by ball marks, it is fruitless to line up a putt! We played Soboba Springs on 9/10 and even with their current construction of the clubhouse and #18, it is still a GREAT value to play this course. It is in pristene condition. What a pleasure to putt on greens with virtually no ball marks! And the ones that were there were repaired PROPERLY! What a concept. We had 9 am tee time, arrived at 8:30. Staff member greeted us at the bag drop with a cart, loaded our bags and said they would be ready for us when we were. Cbecked in, greeted by name and told all about the current conditions, etc of the course. Told there was complimentary soda, water, ice and coffee and to help ourselves. We played in 3.5 hours - which is expected for only 2 players on a Monday on a course not located in OC. There were plenty of players on the course, but we pushed no one, waited on no one and held no one up. Perfect. I highly recommend this course, it is challenging for all levels, customer service is 6 stars, amenities first rate - they even have GPS on the carts. All this for less than 40 bucks per player week rate. I am still in shock at all the positive things this course has to offer. Even with the construction of the clubhouse and redesigning of # 18 this course is a must play. You hardly notice the construction. Granted for us OC folks it is a good hour plus drive... We live in South OC and left at 7 am on a Monday and were there in an hour twenty minutes.... but totally worth the drive. I am almost sorry to share the secret. But if you have the time, it is a must play.

Out in the sticks sits Soboba Springs, a nice golf oasis out near Hemet. Under construction for a new clubhouse right now (see previous postings). The course can play long from the tips; we played on a damp morning and didn’t get much fairway roll, so select the right tee box for your game. They put a good amount of water on the course so it’s nice and lush. Greens are in excellent condition, there’s lots of water hazards, (streams - mini water falls, too) and bunkers to keep you on your toes, and some challenging holes as well (check out no. 7: a 500+ yard par four!). We all enjoyed the layout, but keep it in the fairways because the course has some deep grouse outside the rough that will suck up any errant shot.

A bit of a drive for us city folk but once in a while it’s worth the effort, maybe more so when the clubhouse is completed. We were told they’re reconfiguring no. 18 and it’s supposed to be just a gorgeous finishing hole. I’ll wait until spring ’08 when it done and the surrounding desert is a bit greener, but come back again I will for sure.

The new club house is maybe 1/2 done, they route you around the construction, never comes into play. I would guess its a must play right now!!! Rumor is they will shut down completly Sept ,Oct and NOV. Tear down old buildings, get new up and running, re do greens and fairways and when it opens around Thanksgiving target date it will be really something. BUT,,, right now its really something and its only $39, a very nice deal,, when it reopens, who knows, I am sure the Indians will want you and me to pay for the new Club House. If ya wanted to play here I would do it now.

Course was in great shape, fairways and greens were perfect. Now is not the best time to play the course due to 18th hole being closed for renovation to correspond with the Huge clubhouse. Here is where it gets tricky stay with me; You tee off the 10th hole now instead of 1, after hole 17 right next to it, they made a temp hole for the 18th (just 73 yards) actually even their temp green was in great shape. Then you circle back to hole number 2 and finish 2 thru 9. Then making hole 1 your last hole.. (crazy I know) With all that said it still was a fun day and the course is in top notch shape. If you need something from the clubhouse they will deliver it. They also now have GPS. Also during this time they are giving ya free coffee/soda and ice cream pops.
