played mon feb 22nd and had a great time! finished in about 4.5 hrs due to one slow group, after they let us pass, pace of play was fast. course was windy, fairways and rough were good. greens are fastest ive putted on at ls in a while, remodeled 8th putting green is pretty much good to go.

The 8th green is now in use on the North course, and the 1st is in use on the South course. The north 8th green needs a month or so to grow in and look ready.. The greens definitely did not look lik... Continue »

The greens definitely did not look like they'd been punched a couple of weeks ago. If anything the greens could use a good aerating. The greens looked diseased for most of the round. Most putts were bouncing off line.
Most of the sand was in really good condition, playable-wise. It seemed like they had raked the sand poorly or something because on 4 straight holes, someone in our group plugged in a bunker. on hole 7, 2 of us plugged in the same bunker. not that it's not part of the game, but that seemed strange to me.
the fairways are in fine shape, they give you good lies mostly.

Played today 8/18 and they are now redoing the 8th green so there is a temporary green around the hundred yard mark. the fairways look very good. the greens were okay, they held shots and checked chips, but were covered with ball marks. the guys in front of us must not have heard of fixing ball marks. i fixed multiple ball marks on the 17 normal greens. anyhow the sand was excellent, very playable. the course looks pretty good. in a couple months they will probably be done re-doing the greens. they are also re-doing the number 1 green on the south course..

Played the North 6/14. Our tourney was interspersed with a Junior girls event and there was a playoff on 18 that must have been played three times by the same walking twosome. Greens were hard to judge on speed for me that day. I totaled 43 putts while shooting a 93! I have some work ahead of me with the flatstick. Los Serranos always treats the customers great and cart girls are seen repeatedly. I will be back.

First time playing this course last Saturday. Course was definitely better than I was expecting. A couple holes run along some residential streets that could have some distracting noises - but once you get on the holes further away - you wouldn't even know. Some holes were even scenic with the hills as a backdrop.
About 14 of the greens were SUPER fast! Land on the front, and it would roll all the way to the back. Took me two holes to finally decide all the greens were going to be fast and played accordingly.
Certainly worth the money; the wind was blowing West-East, so no Cow Country smell (probably made it better, don't know if I would have liked it otherwise); Staff is friendly; will keep it on my list of places to play again.

Played 04/15 started at 12:04, finished around 4:45. Pace was pretty good. Some tee boxes were beat up. Greens are all healed except for one hole that I remember... fast! Fairways were in great shape as well as the rough. Bunker was semi hard and clumpy. Definitely a lot of fun. Price was good.
