Played today with 8:53 tee time, finished in just over 4 1/2 hrs, although it seemed slower, lot of 2somes, and 3somes were ahead of us. They were punching the fairways as we played, on some the marshal asked us to play it as GUR. Tees were OK, greens were med-fast, not too bumpy and not many ball marks. The bunkers I was in were good sand, except one that was more dirt than sand. One of the pot bunkers on 16 killed me.

played 4-10. Tee time of 8;45 and we got out within 5 minutes of this. Pace was decent for a Sunday morning, 4 hrs 45 minutes.

Tee boxes were good mostly level somewhat hard. A couple of the par 3 where a little rough but you could always find a decent spot to tee off. Fairways were in good shape. Never had a bad lie. The bunkers were inconsistent. Some had ample sand some were really thin.(I was in too many) The greens were punched about 5 weeks ago and have not fully recovered. No holes or sand but many of them were still very bumpy.Cart came by 3-4 times.
I enjoy this course and it's close to home so I will be back. We got a rate of $59 on golf now so well worth the money.

Played 3/30/11 at 145p and finished at 7p - YIKES! 5 hours on a Wednesday!? Greens healing OK from their recent aeration, but some are really bumpy. Fairway a little bushy and the sand is very inconsistant, loose on the top and wet underneath. I'd better not complain too much cause I got the $19 rate on golfnow.com. They are punching and sanding the greens on the South course and I think the North is making up for it.

We had a tee time on South course, but the starter warned us we'd be behind a tournament and they regularly play 6 hour rounds (uh, the course should do something about THAT!). So, they suggested we play the North course. Woman behind counter told us they'd punched 10 days ago and the greens were recovering nicely, but were still a little bumpy. Little? They are not even close to healing. But, I won't complain any more since they only charged us $11 to walk. If I'd paid full price, I'd have been pissed. Then again, I chose to play there.

In any case, everything else is in good shape. Rough was tough. Give the greens two more weeks to heal. Upcoming rains should help.

Wow, was this course busy for a thursday afternoon. We started the round waiting on the first 5-6 holes, but after that, the round ran smoothly. The round was actually less than 5 hours.

I played at Los Serranos North a few weeks ago (Feb 6) and the greens were in amazing condition. It may have been because the qualifying for the Northern Trust was coming up, but they were smooth and very fast and firm. Fairways are still a bit thin but overall the course was in decent shape for February. The staff here is always friendly and helpful.

Played early in a tourney on Saturday, 12/4, on a cool overcast day that had little wind. Hadn't played the north in 10+ years - very differnt from south course. Greens are small, firm, and have more slope. Today they were very quick but held shot. Fairways just average and overall look of course is hard and barren with turning of temperature season, loss of eucalyptus trees. Greens very challenging, esp. above the hole, resulting in slow play. No cart girl. Ranger just waved and kept driving. Recommended.

Played today, started as single at about noon and finished as 3-some by 3:15. Very quick pace. Fairways newly cut and fairly even. Greens were fast, as usual. Bunkers were fluffy, not hard pan as at other munis. GPS on carts makes a personal one almost superfluous. But, there were 4-5 cart path holes only where my GPS was useful. 17th green was very wet, mushy, over-watered. Wind was factor on front 9, esp. hitting into it on no. 3, par-5. Great price, pace and conditions.
