kind of surprizing that gk used to rate this course as best value in the san bernadino area. greens were fantastic....just a tad slow. the customer service was great. other than that i don't have anything good to say about this course. boring layout. subpar conditioning. just your below average po-dunk golf course. better opportunities out there......

4/26/10-This is one of my favorites for the money. Sure, if you're from another area and paying $50-60 per round, you're used to different conditions. But the layout will get you. It's not a resort course, by any means. Not easy, very challenging. I've played this course many times. Currently, the condition is very good. It has some rough spots in some fairways, but overall it is acceptable and very enjoyable. The clubhouse staff is always friendly and very helpful. They'll put you at ease quickly and send you forth for a fun round. Enjoy it; don't grouse.

Played Yucaipa Valley for first time on Sat. 4/24/10 with a discounted rate 0f $ 39 with lunch cart with gps and range ball. Customer service was excellent. Can't beat this deal on a Saturday. Course was in excellent shape , tee boxes were good , fairways were good, Sand traps has real sand in them. Greens were perfect to my liking. Played it in a surprising 3 1/2 hours on a Saturday. We will be back here for sure, didn't mind the 39 miles drive at all . This is a hidden gem

Played on 03/11...Friendly, efficient staff, GPS on all carts, and course well-maintained. Two putting greens and a nice area for chipping and working bunker shots. The E-mail specials are an excellent value at $29 and the senior rate $25 anytime during the week. The course was wide-open and I have seldom encountered a back-up on week-day play which is my preference. A few greens test the most even-tempered but Yucaipa a fair challenge for all but the lowest handicappers.

THE COLD WEATHER TURNS THE GRASS IN A LIGHT GREEN AND BROWN COLOR WHICK MAKES FOR SOME GOOD ROLL ON THE FAIRWAYS. GREENS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE AND ROLL TRUE. IT'S THE GREENS THAT WILLMAKE YOU COME BACK TO THIS COURSE. YOU WILL NOT FIND A FLAT GREEN ON THIS COURSE. CAN WAIT TO PLAY THIS COURSE IN THE SUMMER BECAUSE THE GREENS WILL BE THAT HARDES GREENS TO PUT ON IN THE AREA. ALL IN ALL A GREAT COURSE FOR THE MONEY AND LIKE EVERY COURSE GET OUT EARLY AND YOU WILL ENJOY A 4 HOUR ROUND. GET OUT AFTER 8:30 ON ANY PUBLIC COURSE AND YOUR LOOKING AT A 5+ HOUR ROUND, GET OUT BEFORE THE HACKERS AND GOLFERS THAT THINK THEY ARE GOLFERS.

My golf buddies and I play this course at least twice a month. It is a very decent course, where one can get some great rates and put in a hearty 18 holes. When Yucaipa Valley says, "Great golf with NO wind!' they are not kidding! The fairways are usually quite good and the greens tend to be challengin for any level of golfer. CAUTION: If you are yet uncertain about your drive (or rather the accuracy of your drive), be vewy, vewym careful because some of the fairwayd tend to be very narrow and the houses seem to close in on you if you are not careful. This probabl speaks more to the "hackers" I usually play with - but I have seen (heard) some THUNDERING crashers as a golfers ball SMACKS into the side of a nice, fairway house!

I played this course for the fisrt time on 10-17-09 and feared about slow play and horrible conditions which I have been reading in here. I was extemely surprised to have experienced the exact opposite! Our 4some teed off at 7am and we were done by 11am. Greens were perfect and were at about medium to fast speed. Fairways were very nice and almost immaculate. The only thing I notice was that the some sand traps were a bit hard and seemed compacted which was probably brought on by the rains and then the sudden dry heat. some traps were ok though and I didn't see any gravel on them which people have complained about.. they probably fixed it?. Anyway, staff were very nice and courteous and our group enjoyed the course very much and it was worth the 60+ mile trip for us. We are planning on going back already! One of the best we've seen at this price range!

People need to repair divots more here though. Greens got bumpy at times due to &ssh*le s that dont repair ball marks.

But overall, well worth the 20 dollar tee time for 2pm.
