Course is still wet. Cart Path Only for 1 and 2 and the dirt paths were just mud.

Everything was saturated still. Fairways were very soft with most of my tee shots hitting and either plugging or rolling backwards and taking a divot. Good grass coverage, but definitely very wet.

Rough was the same...worked really well for cleaning the club on the way back to the cart. Good coverage, just very wet.

Greens...very inconsistent. First few were very slow then sped up a bit, then back to slow. Because we finished so quickly (3 hours teeing off at 730) they never really had a chance to dry out. They were smooth and looked as though they'd roll really well, just very wet.

Bunkers...was in 1 greenside which had next to no sand. Easy to get out of but very thin. Most others had a ton of standing water so we just pulled out when not able to hit.

Love this course, will Def be back. Wish they'd post more signs about poison oak...particularly on the back 9. Just bring extra balls and don't go looking for yours unless you're going for the course record.

Played 8-6-23 early morning walking as a single, taking my time behind a well moving twosome and finishing in a little over 3 1/2 hours. Tees were in good condition, mostly level with minimal divot damage on par threes. Fairways were in really good condition, very lush with great lies and decent roll out. Rough was in good shape, 2-3 inches longer than fairways and very thick and lush. Was in a couple of greenside bunkers that had a good layer of soft white sand. Greens were in really good condition, playing semi-soft and rolling medium/fast and true. Highly recommend playing.

played Sat july 29, 7:40, and 1;10.. finished the first round in 5 hrs, 2nd round we played 2 man scramble and finished in 5 hrs. Wind picked up on the back 9 of the am round, and was really windy the 2nd round, as expected. Greens running true, about a fast 10. Haven't played here in 20 years, so I was excited to get out, and it did not disappoint. The course is a little bare bones, but playable. Bunkers were amazingly perfect, though I did get 2 nasty plugged balls. Had a great time.

Played 5-7-23 early morning walking as a single in about 3 1/2 hours with some minor waiting ,but nothing to complain about. Course is still in really good shape from tee to green. Great lies in the fairways with nice padding. Rough 2-3 inches and thick. Bunkers really nice white fluffy sand. Tees lush and level. Greens rolling smooth at medium pace. This is one of the best courses in the state that every golfer should play at least once.

Played a couple of times here over the last couple of weekends and the course is in real good shape. Very green and lush from tee to green. Fairways were in great shape, only blemishes were on 1 were a low spot in the fairway left a little sand build up from all the rain, and on 10 were at the end of the fairway there was some sand build up across it, other than that great lies with decent roll out. Rough was very lush at about 2-3 inches and fringes around the greens were very smooth. Sand in the bunkers was very fluffy and could leave you with a fried egg if flying into the face. Most tee boxes were in good condition with a few of the smaller ones having a little divot damage. Greens were in real good shape, medium pace and smooth. Very tranquil course that has a big bite, a must play.

Played yesterday afternoon walking as a twosome with RGM2525. This is a great course that will eat your lunch as soon as you blink! The course is set on a hillside so you have several off cambered lies to add to the challenge. Every hole is unique so you never get the “been there played that” feeling. It certainly helps to have a seasoned veteran with you who knows the course inside and out.

Conditions were very nice. Greens rolled excellent at the perfect medium fast pace. A couple greens were a tad slower than expected but they rolled true every time.

Fairways were nice and lush with good coverage throughout. No issues with all the rain as this course drains extremely well being built on a hill and having a good sand base. Most tee boxes were flat with good coverage but one of the par 3 tee boxes was heavily riddled with old divots. But that might have been the hole i birdied so I can’t complain! I was in a couple of bunkers and the green side traps had great sand.

Course is a challenging layout for sure but definitely fun to play. It’s a great walk but again it’s a hilly terrain so you have to be in decent shape to walk it.

Played 11-26-22 mid morning with GDR23 as a twosome, finishing in around 4 hours with some minor waiting. Tee boxes were mostly in good shape with a few being a little unlevel, but not hard to find a nice stance. Fairways were in good condition with nice lies, good padding, and decent roll out, a few minor blemishes here and there, but nothing real bad. Rough was in good shape, about 2 inches and thick, have to hit a good shot out of it or it will grab your club. Was in a couple of greenside bunkers that were in real good shape, plenty of nice white sand that will leave you a fried egg if you fly it into the face of the bunker. Greens as always were in really good shape, rolling true at medium/fast pace and playing semi-soft. Just great to putt on. Overall conditions are very nice and make the course fun to play. Highly recommend playing here.

Walked the blues this morning 11/26/2022 with my buddy Ron RGM2525 in just over 4 hrs with some waiting on a beautiful morning with the breeze picking up to 10-15mph the last 3 holes. Thanks to Stacy and her wonderful staff for having us out.

La Purisma has made some nice improvements from my last round out here a year ago. They have removed all the reeds along the lakes edges and reinforced the structure walls. Beautiful shining lakes now. They have also added new soft sand to mostly all of the bunkers which looks great. The course really is in great shape for late November.

The greens were in great shape. Quick and firm on sidehillers and downhillers and accepting full iron shots very nicely. Probably an 11 on the stimp. Rating the greens a solid 8.5/10

Fairways had nice semi lush to lush coverage and in really nice shape with your ball sitting up nicely. Many mounds and slopes and undulations in the fairways to negotiate here. Rated 8/10

Tees were mostly level and lush. Tees on par 3 3rd and par 3 13th could be more level but that's nitpicking. Rated 7.5/10

The rough just off the fairways does not look long but it is thick and must be negotiated just perfectly on irons. Rated 8/10

Was in 2 greenside bunkers today. Perfectly raked and as mentioned above the sand is very new and very soft. High ball flights are most likely every time at this time to get plugged. Rated 8/10.

My favorite golf course. It has everything. Great tough layout, very good conditions, peace and quiet amongst rolling hills and terrain.

Highly recommend getting out if you can.

This has been one of my local courses for a few years now and I made this account only to say GREAT WORK GUYS! I have never played this course in as good of condition as I did today. The team at LP has worked hard to restore most of the bunkers as well as manicure a consistent 2in cut of rough throughout the course. Greens were excellent, not rolling faster than about 10 but very smooth with minimal pitch marks given their firmness. I’ve always respected the design of this course and I’d certainly consider it a championship track that is a fair test of golf, although very difficult, especially with windy conditions year round. The only thing I’d say is that the amount of sand in the new bunkers is extensive and the chances of fried egg are high if the ball carries directly into it. I’m sure that will improve over time as the sand settles in during the winter though. Unfortunately, today was one of the worst scoring rounds I’ve ever had here (from the Black tees) but just have to shrug it off and get back out asap before aerification. Again, great work team just an amazing improvement from what was already a good course!
