I played Boulder Creek on Tuesday 1/28/14, after the four hour drive from Lakewood. They have three nines and I played Coyote Run/Eldorado, teeing off at around 1pm. The rate goes down at 1pm, and they let me go out a little early. The layout of the course is pretty nice as it winds through the desert. No surrounding homes, so its a peaceful golf atmosphere. Course conditions are good, overall. Nice tee boxes, very good sand and smooth, medium-fast greens. The overseeding in the fairways is thin in some spots, but I never had a bad lie. The staff was excellent and very friendly ... even to stickboy. It's a bit of a drive from civilization, but the green fees are lower than many area courses. I would play it, again, without a doubt.

I played here on 2/22/13. We had tee time at 11:45AM but with our delay in flight and extra 20 minutes spent at the car rental, we were late. I called in and staff was very accommodating by reassuring that they will work us as soon as we got there. We each gobbled down a delicious hot dog and after 10 minutes of range session we were escorted to Coyote instead of Eldorado since starter though that we would enjoy that layout better. Driving range has ample space for 30+ people and just next to it is short game area. Very nice practice facility.

The layout has desert arroyo but not so severe that you would lose your golf ball. It was great for our 2 high handicappers since they only lost couple balls. Course wasn't easy due to pin placements but it was very playable if you didn't go pin hunting like I did. Tee boxes were little shaggy but it was to protect the tee boxes getting damaged during the colder days so it was just fine. Fairways are medium firm and good shape with few minor bare spots here and there. It did not effect our game any so it was just fine. Sand in the bunker looks crusty and heavy looking but to my surprise, it was fluffy. I had to use higher bounce wedges after my first shot using low bounce wedge did not get the ball out. Greens were mostly soft except for few areas where wind had dried out. Greens rolled medium fast and most putts did not break much at all even though my reads were that it would break more. Only downside about the green is that there were so many unrepaired marks. I fixed 5 to 10 marks on each green but still could not get to half of them. I throughly enjoyed the layout and it was very fun course that gave you opportunity to recover. I wouldn't hesitate to come back and golf here again especially since cost of the green fees here is about half what they charge near the strip.

Played Boulder Creek for the first time. It's about half an hour outside Vegas. There's an airfield nearby where people jump out of planes from, but other than that, it's pretty remote. The course was in great shape, and no one was on. We played Coyote Run/Desert Hawk, and no one was in front of us the whole way. 3 hours and change later, we'd finished the best round of my life. Fairways were in great shape. Greens had a few spots where ball marks hadn't been fixed. Only downside was the bunkers weren't raked, and I landed in a couple footprints. It's honestly not that hard, guys. But it was a minor annoyance. My dad and I got rates of $36 off of golfnow, with an 11am tee time. Great experience overall.

played the day before. Greens are cool! Best part is their GPS! Very good info
provided compared to Primm (which we played the day after). Crappy basic
info on Primm's gps!! For a city owned facility, they do a very good job.
I have read about golfers not liking the pebbles inside bunkers. This just happens
to be the natural lay of the land when in the DESERT!!

Played there Friday. Compared to other courses in the area, it's a fairly good deal. Course didn't have too much traffic. Great warmup areas. Greens and fairways were good. The fringe around some of the greens though were bare and in need of some maintenance. The bunkers are tough to rate. There were rocks in all of them (I was in 6 that day) but they were consistent and all played very fair. Easy to score well here if you can keep in from OB. I wouldn't say the course was very memorable, but it was decent enough and fits the bill if you want to play somewhere above a muni, but not pay too much near Vegas.

My golf friends and I enjoy playing golf at this course, decent greens with new golf carts. We also like the customer service that the clubhouse gives to the golfers. Boulder Creek is one of the top five golf courses that I will be playing at for years to come!

There are three 9 hole courses at this club; Coyote Run, Wolf Run, El Dorado.

We played all three for two days over the weekend. All three are well bunkered for long and short hitters-- so, position your self and you will have a fantastic time with this gem.

The bunkers are in great playing conditions, but please do not mistake the bunkers with the waste areas.

The greens are very nice and med-fast (10-11). Smooth mostly, but very nicely maintained.

The teeing grounds are just fine.

The fairways are lush and green and it rolled nicely.

The roughs are dormant at this time of year. they have the consistency look of light golden hay. A couple of notes about it: this dormant rough makes the fairways look narrow, and it maybe easy to play out of it, but it also does not hold shots in an angle. . . the ball will have the tendency to run through it.

Overall, the golf course is in good shape for play. The overall aesthetic of the course looks great with the dormant rough and lush green fairways.

Distraction: next to this golf club is another golf club (Boulder muni), a community park/field and a small lake, and an airport/air strip. Lots of parachuters at mid day and you can hear them having lots of fun in the air. There are also choppers and other small to mid size flying machines around you. At times, an air show would occur here or some of the community functions may be held at the park with lots of cheering and public address (P.A. system) that can easily be heard.

I have played this course numerous times and with each round, I question why they laid the course out the way they did. If you like hitting out of arroyos (wash areas) and brutally placed bunkering then this is your course. Add those features in with some extraordinary pin placements on severely sloped greens and the design makes your day nothing short of monotonous.

I want to be clear that this course is very playable, as I have logged a few rounds in the low 70’s, but the placement of certain hazards through the fairway really boggles the mind. If you chose to layup, anticipate a long approach shot, in turn, if you are an aggressive sort, expect to be either in a bunker or in a rocky arroyo that you did not see off the tee box. Clever design it is not, more like juvenile, with a steady dose of “Ha-ha we got you!”

One tip, look for physical targets beyond the course to set up your tee shots.

Played here 10/14/10. Read some good things and had a deal in the reddot book. 67.50 on a friday at 11am. Every other course in vegas is double, triple this price.

Very nice day. 90 degrees with very little wind. Fee includes cart with gps and cooler. range balls. No one on the course in front of us.

Reviews about this course were right. Pretty wide open and but alot of fairway bunkers. ball travels far in vegas, played from the tips and wasnt overwhelmed at all.

Tip from a local that we played with. The ball doesnt break as much as you think it does.

Only thing is the rough is a lil rough there you dont know how the ball is going to react when in there. the ball buries it pops up kinda weird.
