All area courses very busy with snowbirds Mojave Resort had few openings until afternoon. Thought Wednesday 1:30 I'd just hit range in windy 70 was offered front 9, cart, water and unlimited range for 20. Warmed up breezed around then back to grass range and nice sand practice. Went again on calm 68 Thursday same option and jumped into wide open gap on back nine. Tee boxes level, over seeded fairways nice contrast with dormant rough and greens smooth medium speed with a couple odd looking but putted fine. Rough was short & dry but offline wayward shots will be lost in thick desert brush. In one greenside bunker enough sand to get out but that appeared to be the exception as I flipped back out of another not wanting to damage a club. Noticed several others devoid of sand containing only pebbles, rocks and stones! Area receives lots of wind must be hard to maintain them but the course was good overall. Staff always nice and helpful. Enjoyed practice and playing.

Was in Bullhead City for Thanksgiving, and got out to Mojave Resort on Black Friday with a cousin and had a very nice time. Conditions are good here, with the fairways being the highlight. Decent roll on tee shots, great lies to hit from. The greens didn't look great, but rolled really nicely at a medium speed. Rough was dormant and not too long, but still not that easy to hit from. If there were weak spots here, the weakest would be the bunkers. A few of the greenside ones on the front weren't too bad, but all of the ones on the back had no sand at all, and were nearly impossible to play out of unless you were in a fairway bunker. Tee boxes (we played the gold) were a little long, and many not very flat either. The layout is nice, with fairways that aren't as generous as some other resort courses which was a nice change of pace. Unfortunately I feel they really do need to do something about the greenside bunkers, as most every green is guarded by them, and their lack of sand makes them just about unplayable. Even with those weak spots, I feel that the $49 we paid to ride was definitely worth it.

Saturday, November 3, 2018, first time here. Good recommendation by Greenskeeper.org users: mpisarski01, sixpez, and kviser. Placed a tee time for 12:30, but got in early and checked in at about 10:30. There’s a tournament in progress that I knew about so I just hung out at the practice area, the balls are part of the greens fee for my twilight 12:30 time. 20 minutes or so later the starter asked if I could go early so we got on the tee right away at 11:10, which was real nice. It was a bit windy- 30 miles an hour for most of the day and made it a tough day. But the guys they paired me with in the foursome made up for it- they were cool to hang in with; a local who I rode with and two guys from San Diego. The pace was great till we caught up with the tournament on #3, but the shotgun finished on #7, so it wasn’t bad. We ended ip finishing before 3:00. The course looks good right away- green lush and almost no bare spot. Their roughs are cut evenly throughout the course is a not so bad lengths. I’d say about 2 inches, but the bermuda rough almost always has the ball sitting in and covered so it’s somewhat tough to keep the ball on a good direction. The teeing grounds are a bit uneven from the white tees, but the fairways are very good- it had some roll, it was in great shape. The bunkers lack sand and what little they had in were mixed with pebbles and small rocks that are annoying to see and play in. Their greens were nice and smooth for the most part, but super slow- maybe at 8 if anything. The beverage girl came around a few times and the staff were friendly and helpful. Btw, this placris built on Indian Reservation land and they have water rights which makes it nice for the course. Overall, I liked it here and I’d like to play here again. If I were to give it a # rating, I would go with a strong 6.0. Thanks to the guys here in the site who were kind enough to share their knowledge of the course and area overall.

Played here Saturday at first off at 5:25 as a solo POP 1:45

During winter this is probably a sweet course. However there are some issues at the moment. The greens are recovering from a punch and were very wet, sandy, and bumpy making putting impossible. As well if you are going to play do not play in the first 1:30 of the day. Due to the marshy water elements on the front nine I was inundated with swarms of gnats and mosquitoes. I couldn't hit a shot without being stung a few times so make sure to bring bug spray here. Apparently gnats do a morning hatch so you want to wait for them to subside.

The layout is fun. It's two course styles in one. The front nine is reminiscent of a Florida marshy course while the bank nine is similar to a Pete dye desert track with its water and railway elements. Lots of bunkers that have links style feel. The front nine is very challenging with long narrow holes from the tips require accurate long irons. The main challenge of the course is fairway bunkers that pinch at landing area requiring accurate drives. Due to being summer the course is dried out and the bunkers need some TLC and rock removal. The finishing holes are fun and this can be a great course when it is in better condition.

Was out in Laughlin this past weekend for a work-related tournament at Mojave Resort. I was looking forward to playing this course again after having played this same event last year for the first time, and the course did not disappoint.

We started on the back nine for the sake of the tournament, but that routing is plenty fun as well. Both nines have a lot of fun, challenging holes to test your game. There are carries over water, strategic tee shots and grip it & rip it opportunities as well. Not a ton of elevation to worry about, but their bunkers are very prominent with a lot of mounding around them, and also on the greens. But yeah, really fun layout.

Conditions for the middle of the desert are very good. Fairways look great with that in consideration, and the rough is even more dense, but there are a lot of areas to get in trouble and lose balls into the desert waste. But on the fairways, you'll find yourself with plenty of nice lies, with the occasional thin one here or there.

Greens were really great. Ball marks at a very minimum, running fast and very tricky. We had the toughest pin placements set up for the scramble tournament so it was quite challenging to read them, but our team did a pretty good job of it, taking second place overall at 6-under. Pretty tough with their speed and firmness to hold shots on the greens though as I learned a few times. Line drives going to run forever.

Tee boxes were fine, not great but nothing too awful, either. Bunkers seemed to be in good working condition, but we didn't find any as the best shot between the four of us, so that was good. We had cart service as well many times, however I don't know if that's standard or was done extra since this was quite a big tournament.

My only regret, once again, is playing a scramble, which is good fun, but I really want to play this course on my own just to test myself and see how I would do. Maybe if I come back next year, or on another trip out there, going to try and get that done. Recommend it for sure.

We played the course on 4/6/2018. Well, while the course is in very good shape and a test of skill with all of traps protecting the greens and fairways. The way this course treats it's customers is absolutely horrible. We had a 12:00 tee time and when we arrived they informed our group that there would be a delay of an hour which actually turned into a two hour delay. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. The excuse they gave was that a tournament that was before us brought more players than planned. So they just decided to let them decide that everyone else would be delayed. What is is the point of making tee times if the course doesn't honor them. Our group plays this course a couple of times a year, BUT NO MORE!!!!

Played 1-20-18 early morning as a single for $79 with cart, getting around in 1 hour and 45 minutes with no waiting. Tee boxes were a little un-level so had to search a little for a level stance, but they were fairly lush and cut tight. Fairways were in good shape with a few thin areas, nice roll out and good lies. Rough was not much longer than fairways and pretty easy to hit from. Was in two greenside bunkers both of which were a little firm and had quite a lot of small pebbles in them. Greens were a Poa annua, Rye mix that putted fairly smooth at medium/fast speed and were semi soft. Course is mostly flat going through some houses on the backside with a couple of lakes to add a little more challenge.

The Course - Customer Service was good, we were welcomed, and went off on schedule.
Tee boxes were fairly level and not many divots. The fairways ran well, had some brown patches. Rough was short but at times hard to get out of. Bunkers were packed dirt and rocky, I skulled a couple of shots when the SW bounced into the ball. Greens were visually nice and green but were not receptive, and very slow.

The wind was a major player for this practice round, we started with 1st tee time at high noon, wind was medium with occasional gusts, got worse by the 12 hole. My drives were 180 or less into the wind, 190/210 into the wind. Not fun, other than enjoyed a round with ftiends

First stop on a quick work-related desert swing this week and had an enjoyable surprise playing the Mojave Resort course on Saturday in a customer sponsored scramble tournament. I was not expecting much driving out towards Laughlin area but was very surprised indeed upon first view of the course and how lush it looked. I found out from locals the night before the tournament that there are no water restrictions at the course since it is owned by a local Indian council. With that in mind, it's green, green, green amidst the sandy glow of the surrounding desert and mountains. Mojave Resort is quite a lot of fun and there are some really great holes to play, but the occasional quirky one as well, but not enough to take away from the enjoyment. Not a lot of elevation changes as one would expect, but there are plenty of uneven fairway sections to challenge your positioning, and more than enough sand traps, natural areas and waste bunkers to keep you honest. There are also some very nice water features in play on many holes as well. Conditions are very good at the moment with the greens being a bit fuzzy and on the medium side, but rolling nicely and holding shots well. Fairways are in great shape and really fun to play with only the fewest amount of GUR areas. Tee boxes, bunkers and rough were all in good shape as well. I took pictures of each of the holes and will upload all of those as soon as I get back home later this week. Definitely worth a round though if you happen to find yourself at the river sometime soon.
