Course overall is in good shape. Play yesterday using a San dimas email deal. Playing after 2 pm for 15 dollars includes green fee, cart, hot dog, chips and drink. Alittle crowded after 2 but that's expected due to this deal.

Played my 2nd round of the day here and got around in 4 hours. Thanks to the starter for letting me join a twosome on the back and working me in on the front to accomplish this (now that folks is great customer service). Had not played here in quite some time and have to question why? Course is in great shape. Always love a course that has 5 par 5's and 5 par 3's. And I truly love # 14 (par 4 that 2nd shot needs to carry the lake) and # 16 (par 3 over water) not to mention the many trees and narrow fairways (4,5,6,7) Tee boxes level and clean. Rough not a factor, as they have enough OB and mounding to take care of that issue. Fairways were clean and providing decent roll, even after the rains. Sand traps clean and no issues. Greens were mowed but slow. It is apparent that they have not totally dried out from the rain but after a few holes you figured them out. As I said previously, customer service at all levels just great. And had some breakfast before playing and food was excellent with great service. Put this one on your play list, you won't be disappointed.

Played 2/10, late afternoon T time. What a difference since the last time we played and a different day, pace of play for us, was under 4 hours, this is with my wife who shoots over 100, but is quick and my 80 year old pops. No excuse for this course ever to take longer than 4 and a half hours, except for rude, inconsiderate and slow as hell players.
Course conditions, layout and staff were great as usual.
Please allow the marshals to push along these very rude players.

Played Thursday morning. This is my home course, I play here more than any other course, course conditions year round are very good, staff is always friendly and a great bunch of guys, but for the first time today I had to rate very low enjoyment and worth the money. Why? 5.5 freaking hours long! On a Thursday! No thanks, not anymore on Thur. nor on Fri or the weekends. I will try maybe on Mon-Wed. Sorry, San Dimas Canyon, but you sucked today. At the end of my round today, on the GPS unit, it recorded pace of play at 5h 9min, it was actually longer than that, but what killed me was, it said we were 16 min ahead of pace!
Conditions were good, but bored after 9 holes of this bull.

Played last week with good buddies, nice to not have the heat any longer. Course was in fairly nice shape. Greens were slower than used to at San Dimas probably still recovering from the aeration. Fairways were fine, rough was a bit thin. Not too many wet areas. Bunkers were fluffy sand.

Played Fri Sept 5th. Course was in ok shape. Greens were half punched/sand and half regular. Really crappy way to putt. Fairways were ok. POP was terrible, over 5 hours. They tried to put as many foursomes out in front of our toury as they could. 8 minute spacing is not enough, especially when the foursome right in front of us had "handicap" flags on there carts. We waited every hole. Marshal was there, really nice older lady, but did nothing to speed up play.

Fairway: Fairways were good for the most part. Some areas were bare and dry. However, since CA is in a drought right now, its pretty much expected that the courses will have dry areas. If I had to throw a number on it, I would say maybe 35% of the fairways were dry.
Greens: Half the greens were getting aerated. The other half was great. Smooth and rolling great.

Overall, the course was good. Its been awhile since I played here. I remember the course being a lot more greener. However, I think w/ the drought, the course looks dryer than what I recall. If I had to rate it, I would say its a 5.5-6.

Played 7-20/Sun. San Dimas is in excellent shape, w the exception of a few tee boxes. This course will test every club in your bag and if you can't read greens, you will be better off playing elsewhere. The greens here are challenging. The layout is such that you cannot mindlessly pull driver off every tee - it pays to really think about strategy. The service here is efficient and very good. There's a lot of trouble left and right here, so if you're fairly crooked, this isn't your course.

Played a Sunday twilight round not much changed since my last review, but a single joined our threesome, it was not until late in the round that I noticed a Greenskeeper tag on his bag, first time I've come across someone from the community. Edgar was a lot a fun to play with, I was impressed with not only the length of his drives, but with his accuracy. Feel free to join us any time you want.

Really enjoy the new carts. Plenty of un-raked bunkers and unrepaired ball marks on the greens, for how good of shape the greens are in, you would think the golfers would do their part in keeping them in shape. Too bad.
