First time here. 8/19/25. Well maintained grounds very green huge canyon style golf. Comfortable ride in the cart, no GPS. No driving range just a warm-up net, be aware. 89 deg. by 2 pm, so getting warm out here now. I'll be back soon! Hidden gem.

Made visit to San Dimas on Sunday afternoon. POP was 4.45 hours. Course was in good condition. Greens were smooth and running at 9. Fairways and rough and aprons were well kept and looked great. Sand traps had plenty of sand. The clubhouse is back up and running although the design is questionable as the check in area is completely seperate from the restuarant and nice bar and patio area. The old layout was much better for business IMHO. Staff was pleasant and we played with two nice gentlemen. We paid $65 to ride on the weekend at 1 pm which is great value! A breath of fresh air compared to Santa Anita a few days before.

Out on Friday, 1/3, as a twosome joined by another and starting at 12:12. Very briefly, I think the conditions here are pretty good and consistent throughout. Good, green coverage everywhere and I don't recall any thin areas through the fairways. Rough is mostly manageable and fairy consistent if you stay out of the wilds, bunkers were in good shape and groomed, and the greens were clean and a good quick speed. My minor issue would be a few of the tee boxes could be a bit closer to level. The major issue on the day was pace. We were approaching 5:00pm and just finishing the 14th hole. With the conga line still ahead of us and the sun gone, we knocked off there because we were close to the clubhouse with no chance to finish more than a couple more holes at best. Attribute it to the holiday surge as I've never had pace like it at this course and it was obviously packed out there. Customer service is friendly and the starter lady works her butt off. The canyon setting is particularly scenic and the conditions are solid. Recommended.

Played this AM. Course is in really nice shape. Great customer service. POP 3.5H. Tee boxes all playable. Fairways mowed/clean good lies and roll out. Traps were playable but could use some attention IMO. Greens were excellent and only after 2 weeks after aeration. They chipped and putted with speed on all 18 holes. Held and released shots all round. Very little rough to deal with but many OB areas make up for that. Sr rate w cart $40. Recommended. Did not try the new restaurant that is open in the new clubhouse.

Played Friday, 6/7 as a twosome joining a young couple, teeing off from the whites @1:00. I usually find the conditions here as good or better than most munis and it held true. There are some tee boxes with a bit of tilt to them but nothing too bad and most are level. Coverage around the course for both fairways and rough is pretty consistently green, with the fairways cut to a nice length and rough being generally playable. I was in one bunker, the ball sat on the surface although the sand was not actually overly firm. Sand quality is OK. The green surrounds presented well for short game and the greens ran a quick end of medium with minimum marks and a good surface. The course was busy and we got around in about five hours that didn't seem quite that long due to the mostly steady pace. A steady 1-club breeze through the day that kept it from getting overly warm. There was woman in charge of organizing the carts and starts that would have put us out immediately if we hadn't wanted to hit warmup and stick to our original time. She was working hard all day to keep everything moving, which was nice to see and she deserves props. This was our first look at the new clubhouse. Good to see it up and running. Aesthetically, I found the interior a bit cold, but the food and golf services were all operating smoothly. The course has a couple of quirky holes (which I don't mind) but is a mostly solid layout is set in a very scenic foothill setting. Definitely recommended.

Played this morning. We had an 8:45 time and we had a POP of 4 H. And we thank the marshal who was out moving people along. Found the course in great condition. All good tee boxes. Traps were all playable. Fairways were clean provided good lies and decent roll out. Rough was there but it was playable. Greens were in really nice shape. Devoid of divots (great) and were firm and had good speed all round. Sr price of $40 with cart and $24 if you want to walk. New pro shop and restaurant now open available. Customer service great at all levels. Recommended.

Found a good deal here for 11am on Saturday 3/2 as a twosome going out with a single. Since rain was in the forecast the course was fairly empty, but busier than you'd think as it was the only one in the area not doing CPO. Since my last review I'm happy to say I've changed my tune a bit on this place. They finally have a pro shop and apparently a restaurant open again.

Conditions were very, very wet, but beyond that the layout is actually kind of fun but does require good shots. A lot of different hole types and challenging green complexes. Not a course I'd want to play all the time but a fun change of pace. Typically the pace of place here can be brutal but since the weather kept a lot of folks away we finished in about 3.5.

Teeboxes can be a little uneven, fairways had mostly good coverage, bunkers seemed to have sand, and the greens were in very good shape.

Can't wait to go back and play once things dry out

Out with a buddy today, 8/24, playing the whites as twosome with a 12:30 start. I'll keep it brief and say the overall conditions are green and solid tee to green I especially liked the consistency of the coverage on the teeing grounds. One could quibble that the bunkers had soft layer over a harder base, but the ball tended to sit up and I actually had a decent day playing out of more bunkers than I usually visit. The greens ran the fast end of medium, were in good shape, and a fun challenge as to contours.

The day was not cool, but there was a nice breeze that worked with your sweat to keep things comfortable. The course was busy overall, but we started in a pocket of our own with space ahead and behind, and had minor delays only into the back nine. We were not exactly keeping a torrid pace, so I was surprised at the end that we got around in about 3.75 hrs. Nice. It's an interesting, fun layout with some quirks in a beautiful canyon setting. Recommended.

Back when my buddy made the 1:30 tee time for Thursday 5/4 we were oblivious to the weather reports. But when we saw some and it seemed the rain might be done by late morning, we opted to proceed. It was fine during warm up but a final 15 minute squall just as we were heading for the first tee delayed our start. Once out we happily discovered the conditions were very good all around despite the earlier rains. The course drained well and I was hard pressed to find overly saturated areas, much less standing water. The 11th tee box stood out as an exception — saturated and soggy but level with nice coverage, so it was manageable. Otherwise, from tees through the greens the grass coverage was solid, nicer than any muni I've been on recently and it was all appropriate length. With minor exceptions the tees were level. The rough was pretty consistent both as to length and being playable. I missed the bunkers and can't report much but I did notice some standing water in at least one in passing. Green side areas were good for short game. The greens handled the wet very well and were on the quick side. As a matter of fact, we were on the practice green putting DURING our rain delay to kill time and the balls rolled quickly — accelerating seemingly inordinately on what appeared to be gentle slopes, it amplified the contours of the greens and made them a bit tricky. It took a little adjustment but they were a fair and interesting challenge that got your attention. The course was lightly populated and with any breeze minimal at best, there was a sense of stillness to the area. We let another twosome that showed up as we were commencing go out ahead of us. They sped off and the closest anyone got behind us was a little over a hole for a few. Mostly we were on our own, getting around in a little over four hours. I find the setting to be one of the more scenic foothill canyons and the post-rain clouds added more drama to the views. The course has some quirky holes but I think the overall layout is solid and interesting. All told, I found it one of the more enjoyable rounds I've played in a while, and not because I had especially good scoring results (which I didn't). Definitely recommended.
