Golf Course Reviews: California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Florida, Hawaii!3/12/26 9:24 am pegs in. Picked up a game with 3 young Firemen this time, really a fun fast paced time. Course looking the best in the 5 rounds I've played here over 2 years. 91 degrees in March is unusual but hey, who's complaining! Be informed, no driving range here. To be fair they do have a net area. Putting green to far away. Everything else was great, Fairways, traps, greens. Longer hitters will love it here, 18 commonly plays 645yds from the tips with water cover at around 240. "Dos "will be in my rotation this year.
Finally got to play here. If you are a single this can be a issue at popular links. Got a 4sum together to play Sunday 3/8/26, $80.00 ea. No GPS no club rental, walk to driving range only. Other than these issues we enjoyed the layout, challenge and condition of course. Happily, numerous marshals on patrol keeping POP very good, done in 4:30 for a weekend! Looking forward to another round soon.
1-29-26 10:45. First this course is NOT private. Update please, as this course is a blast. I skipped this place for years reading private. First impression looking from the parking lot not exciting. Pleasant surprise once in the pro shop looking down at the course! From the bar resturante you can view 3 tees and another 3 greens with ease. Very comfortable outdoor covered patio for drinks and food service. The greens keepers have this course in very nice country club like condition. Fairways nearly always serving up tasty lies, rough is treelined with the leaves forcing me to abandon 2 balls and just drop. Creeks running all through the property will force shot play. Greens in excellent condition. Extremely very fast running with almost unfair slope. The dance floors robbed me of (4) normally gettable pars! Very nice Yamaha carts no GPS. This course has some holes that play blind so a GPS cart tracking system would'nt hurt here. Wide concrete cart paths in decent condition. Tees in acceptable condition, thin in areas most level. Very fun, challenging, and beautiful 18. Old guy mid week rate is a bargin. Small short yardage range near first Tee. Thanks to all staff for their professionalism, especially the starter Mauro. Think I'm returning next week again to try and better my number. Highly recommend Canyon Crest!
Single booking for 1-22-26 @10:10am rain expected. No driving range here so hit a small bucket at Jurupa Hills near by. The 4sum got along great done in 4.5hrs. Enjoyed the no parallel fairway aspect of the 5800 (mens) yards set up. Don't plan on walking as connections between holes can be taxing not to mention the gopher land mines looking to twist a ankle. Carts in decent shape no GPS. Fairways lined w/mature tree lines and good marked yardage stakes. Fairly bumpy ride throughout. Gopher issue but not as bad as some I've played recently. Sand looked nice appear to be well groomed but found hard pan under thin sand layer...unpredictable outs! Fun par 3's and a drivable par 4 on #7. Nearly every fairway will have slope issues..be warned. Greens somewhat dissapointing as punching has not healed combined with slope and pin placement will wreck your card. Smallish clubhouse resturante/bar. Thanx Rudy,Angel, in the Bar area for your service, ditto to Mike at Pro shop and Tony our starter. The Greens will eventually heal so I'm sure to test myself here again.
First time here. 1/18/2026 9:44 Sunday. 80 degrees by noon in January! Initial impression was pleasing as the rains have the greens and fairways looking postcard perfect. Challenging setup for a short yardage test. Very hilly with difficult slope. Greens are small targets in good to very good condition and rolling quick! No sand traps. Traps have been long ago filled. They play as a sunken grass depression. Half the fairways are quite bumpy due to gopher infestation. Manageable tree lines, only water on the 18th. Decent driving range on matts, carts ok, no GPS but good yardage markers thru-out. Tee boxes overall are thin and most unlevel. Cart paths could use a redo. Small clubhouse/pro shop, good friendly staff all around. Weekday old guy prices are right in my wheelhouse so I'm sure to return. d%mn Gophers!
1/8/26 Thursday morning 10:30 walk-on. Was hoping to find a hidden gem.....instead got a 18 hole mole hill/gopher hole mine field dodge! Should have known from lack of cars in the parking lot something was off. These are not fairways just a mowed down variety of weeds. Absolutely FLAT 18 hole track, maybe 1 bunker per hole ( sand is very good, fluffy even!), Lakes on 9 holes but only came into play 1-2 times. Greens are in good condition actually, rolling fast with very reasonable slope all very small targets. Carts in good condition w/newer GPS, club dip w/ball washer and cooler mounted on carts! Cleat cleaner and ice maker soon? Even though the golf disappointed, you gotta see the new shipping container turned bar/snackbar/ range ball dispenser setup! 6700 yds. played by myself in under 4hrs.Bring ur kidney belt.
12/23/25 Early bird tee time only thing available for my partner and I on Tuesday, 7:24am. Fog had just receded as we set up the balls. First time I had to play with my hoodie on this year. This course is also a bit out of my driving orbit 1hr 20 min from O.C. Green fee price and condition of the course made up for that. Beautiful setting ,deer everywhere. Small driving range, good carts (no GPS), beverage cart service, 5 holes have access to bathrooms. Fairways just about perfect, rough could be trimmed, narrow mature tree lined stay out. Greens healthy and fast.....lots of slope will frustrate the best on these surfaces! Let me say it again, the GREENS protect against low scores. Staff is casual but very organized, especially the starter keeping everybody informed and ready to roll. Pace was perfect all through the round. I'll be back.
86 degrees on December 10? Where is everybody? $56.00 small bucket and Green fees ( nice new Yamaha cart included). Small but adequate on matt range. Putting green? didn't bother, was scared I might contact something. Booked on line but really not necessary, hit my warmup balls and checked in with Kieth at pro shop. Played by myself up to 13. I now understand why the place is deserted. Nearly all the Greens look to be healing from a grass disease. To be fair I believe the management is addressing the issue. Looks to me like even the "fixed" ball repairs are not healing. Fairways are tight. as in thin grass/grasses...a real patch work of stuff! Not much rough to speak of as fairways are close to tree line. Sand traps positioned well but thin on sand and firm below. adjusted my normal technique to just playing my 52 and chipping out. Finished the round in 4:20. The facility seems under funded and understaffed. Thanx for the chin up attatude from Tony, manager Mike in the snack bar and Mike the greenskeeper. I'll wait for a better report on course conditions before returning. Out.
Accidentally found this Facility on Google maps searching for a new golf experience. Menifee Lakes is 1 hr. 15min. drive for me, normally not in my sphere of considerations. Pre booking was unusual as they do not use GolfNow only website or call direct. As a single I secured a 12:10, sort of late for this time of year but I wanted to hit a small bucket ( normally on grass, but all the rain put us back on matt's). Range is small but convenient to starter, putting green and restaurant, Tee's. Actually got on the Palms course 1 hr. earlier than expected and thankfully so, as my round took 5 hours! Wide open fairways here minimal tree lines. No ball roll out due to rain the last couple weeks. Cart paths and parallel entry only contributes to slow play but was necessary to not damage the course. Every shot required pick and clean, replace. Greens still healing from punching/Overseed. Fast and bumpy says it all. Think I'll wait for spring to test this course again.$ 72.00 for green fees&small bucket. Great staff: shout out to Charles,Jeremy and Dillon in pro shop, the Club should be proud to have staff of this caliber! Little pricy and far to drive, but I will come again in spring and review anew. Also, be aware 7 Hills Course IS NOT at this facility (Hemet), Only Palms & Lakes! Website is vague about this when booking.
11/11/25 Veterans Day. Indian Hills web site did NOT post that a event was to happen! Golf Now log in either! Bookings were open for the morning so we drove out from Orange county to wait for a spot, Pro shop was not aware the event was not pre posted! Got a "Sorry". Could have at least offered a discount for another day? I normally practice over at Jurupa Hills only 10 minutes away so we called ahead and Ken put us on a short waiting list, bam, we were off in a half hour! Someone's not doing their job over at Indian Hills, and needs a refresher on hospitality. Just saying!
Note: Had to fill out detail form first to be able to comment. Visited last Sunday 11/2/25 only to visit the club house and range facilities. Ended up spending 4 hrs. on 2 different practice ranges, 2 separate putting greens and near by chipping/trap practice area. Fantastic 5 star grounds conditions! All on grass of course. Practice only was $ 40.00 for unlimited access and balls unlimited. New balls all yellow. You get given a golf cart down by the starter area with your clubs already mounted via the bag drop. These people know the meaning of hospitality. Views from the Pro shop, banquet hall, Restaurant/bar are to behold, particularly looking down from the terraced outdoor sitting/dinning area. Cool stadium type view of golf course! Want to drop your handicap? Go practice here.
Just reopened after punching/sanding etc. on 10/24/25. I played onthe 28th and starter was happy to tell me carts were allowed on the fairways! Conditions really couldn't have been better! everything 5 star. This was a Tuesday at 11:06 am, $81 bucks and finished alongside another single that joined in under 4 hrs. I do not consider a course of this caliber to be $$$$ . This place is in a gated community and could be easily charging $ 381.00 per 18. I strongly advise taking advantage of this spectacular facility. Wish I could have played here a couple more days!Special thanx to Jay at the starter position followed by Derek and Jim in the Pro shop.
