Played today with our two favorite players at LV. Some of you know them and that one is 101 and his brother is 94 (95 in Sept). And we played in 4 hours (like we usually do on Wed). Course is in really nice shape. That in spite of the fact, that over the weekend, thieves stole several thousands of dollars of copper wire from the underground sprinkler system, which they were repairing today (unbelievable). Tee boxes, clean, level, tee receptive; bunkers in good shape; fairways still filling in (a few bare spots) giving good lies/roll; very little rough but enough to cause issues; greens are in great shape and chipping/putting excellent. Customer service great at all levels. So now it is off to Montana (Kalispell) for a week of non stop golf. I would write reviews but MT is not listed but I will forward pics to JGK for him to post.

Had a limited amount of time in the afternoon the Friday of Memorial Day weekend. On the waiting list about 45 minutes (they had a charity tourney finishing up) before getting on. 7 holes in 2.5 hours before I had to leave. What little I saw of the course was in good shape. The greens look great but are running a bit slower than normal.

Out early today and POP was 3 hours. Course is getting greener by the week. You need to play it to see the fairway and green cutting/shaping they are doing to improve playing conditions (those of you who have played in the past will no doubt recognize the improvements to each hole). I cannot stress enough the great work Scott (Supt) and his staff are doing with the course. No issues with tees, traps. Fairways are now providing good to better than good lies. There is now rough growing in on the sides of many fairways and it is penal. Lots of areas with wood shavings and roped off areas to prevent the careless cart drivers (ie around the greens). Greens were being vertical cut today and cleaned. They were already in good shape and I suspect that within a few days, they will be very very good. Customer service excellent at all levels.

Played yesterday in a POP of 3 hours. Course is greening up nicely. Fairways filling in and providing good lies with only a few bare areas left. Tees fine. Bunkers fine. Rough filling in along the fairways. Greens are in really nice shape. Lots of shaping around greens and in front of greens, providing better scoring opportunities. Customer service great at all levels.

Played on 5/12 around noon time and the course was superslow. Had to wait on every tee box and made the turn after 3 hours. Weather was nice and overcast and the beautiful views made up for slow play. The tee box was nice and tight, fairways coming around and mostly green with some thin spots, rough is decent considering drought conditions and mostly playable, and the greens are almost healed from recent aeration with aeration marks barely visable but did not affect putts and rolled great. The greens ran about medium and faster downhill. Overall, always a good experience if you don't mind slow/crowded conditions. Buddy and I left after holing out 16th green cause 17th par-3 tee box was 3 deep, so we finished 16 holes just a little shy over 5 hours. Do I like waiting on tee box/shots? No. Would I play here again?? Absolutely.

Played today. I concur with both previous reviews on some and will add I had a great 3.5 hour round (I just picked the right day ?). Great customer service as always. I did learn from Joe who heads up the marshal's, that they are cleaning out some of the rough grass around some of the holes (4, 5, 8, 18 and others - so look for it) to provide a better opportunity for bouncing the ball in (like # 4) or chipping (like 18) to provide more scoring opportunity. Sounds good to me.

6:37am tee time. Joe, the starter said it would take 4 hours to play, and he was right on the money. Finished in 4 hours 3 min. Any time I can play this course in 4 hours, I'm happy.

Greens have improved since last week, Rolled a bit truer and a tad faster. Fairways were hit or miss. Some better than others. Not in any sand, so won't comment on them.

Love the ocean views, love playing here. Hard to believe you can play such a great course for $16 (senior rate) What a bargin!

Played Saturday April 30 early with good pace of play. I agree with Weber's review except I was underwhelmed by the greens. A little shaggier than usual I thought, with correspondingly slower than usual speed. I blamed it on the recent aeration. They still had decent speed, just not as quick as they were before punching. What surprised me was how firm they were. On the second hole my high wedge shot off the fairway bounced at least 20'. I expected them to be softer after the work, especially in the morning, but not so.

Enjoyable round, perfect weather to walk, good pace, what's not to like. I hit off way too much dirt, but I'm not driving the ball well. The cover the rains brought is going away so if you are off the fairway, especially on the back 9, the chances are it is going to be a bare lie. That said, the fairways are good and pretty generous. Or so they say.

Because I have a visitor from Iowa coming next week, I wanted to make certain he played an "ocean course". Not willing to take a second mortgage out to play Pelican or Monarch, decided Los Verdes would do nicely. Got to the course at 2am, to insure I would be high on the list for a tee time for next week. It worked! Because of geography and the difficulty getting early tee times, I rarely play here any more, so it was a treat to play today. The course was in much better condition than I expected. The greens are almost totally healed, the fairways are in very good condition, with the exception of some bare areas. There are numerous bare areas in the rough however! I thought the tee boxes were exceptional. Because I was able to get out before the crowds, pace was excellent. (I suspect next week will not be so quick!) But hey, if you're going to be stuck out on a course for 4+ hours, there aren't many better places than overlooking the Pacific Ocean. I'm sure my guest from Iowa will appreciate that !
