Played this AM in 3.5 hours. Course is in OK shape but being watered heavily and greens are slow due to the cut and water on them. # 3 hole has one tee box open and all work done, including the removal of the bunker left of the green (green seems to be in better shape with most of the fungus gone). # 4 is still temp tee box but all work is done so tee boxes should be available shortly. # 9 tee box is under construction but they are using the old tee on the left which was rarely used. So no temp tee and bunker is under construction at green. # 10 tee box is under construction and using temp tee. With 3, 4, 9 and 10 finished that will complete the construction on tees and traps.

Played this AM in 4 hours. # 1 hole finished; # 2 hole finished; # 3 hole one tee box done; # 4 temporary tee working on tee box. So all they have left is # 9 and all the work will be finished. They have vertically cut the greens and put a light sand on some and it appears they have not cut the greens as close as normal. This did affect the putting some what. But the fairways are in good condition, many of the areas where they removed bunkers and replaced with grass are coming in nicely. I would say the improvements that have been done, really make the course play better than it was, for sure.

I played before sngernz and it took us 2:45 to play 18 this morning (seriously). Of course we were in carts but we did not rush. So it all depends on what time you get out and what groups you are behind (I know why it took so long, group behind us). Understand they are hoping to open # 1 this week. Look forward to playing the hole w/o the bunker at the corner. As he said # 8 tee box open. They still need to finish # 2 (sod is in) and do # 3, 4 and 9. They were spraying the greens this AM, no doubt to fix the "fungus" problem. It appears to be working. The leveling of the tee boxes has made a tremendous difference in the playability of the course, in my opinion. Not only did they level them but made them wider/longer and it truly has improved the course.

Tee box/bunker remodel project continues (see previous post by 24hr) but the no. 8 tee box is now open, only no. 1 and no. 2 are temp tees. Not sure what's next, most likely 3. Course is looking spiffy all around. Greens looked good, I think they have the fungi under control. Still the slowest round of golf in the west and the marine layer has been hanging around since July, but a great bang for your buck.

# 1 tee still under construction, as well as bunkers in fairway. #2 hole now under construction with temporary tee below. #6 tee box now open. #8 hole still temp tee box. There seems to be some sort of fungus in the greens? No idea what it is but it is really visible on almost every green. Does not affect the putting surface (yet) but who knows. Pace of play was 4 hours and that was with some of the worst fog I have ever seen.

Went off at 1:30 was done at 5:30. Not bad for a Tuesday afternoon. # 1 hole is now being worked on. Temporary tee about 100 or so yards down in the fairway. For those of you who know the course, say goodby to the bunker at the corner on the first hole. They say they are removing it? Seems a shame but guess they feel it will speed up play? Working on the bunkers between # 1 and # 2 as well. # 8 tee box is done but not open as well as # 6 tee box. They have also removed the first bunker on the right on hole # 8. New tee on # 5 is open and now provides a level teeing area. They also redesigned the bunker to the right of the green, making the bunker much more playable. Fairways appear to be in acceptable shape and the greens are, in my opinion in very good shape. With the work completed on the back 9 and upcoming final work on the front, all holes will have larger and leveled tee boxes, which was something that was very much needed on this course.

Played in a tournament here on 7/28/13. 1st of all, this course USED to be really good, but not when we played today. Several tee boxes were being worked on, so they moved us to terrible lies in the fairways. Greens were really good and tricky, and the bunkers were nice and full. Now the bad part. Customer service was terrible, with the exception of the 1 girl who worked the cart barn. The guy in the pro shop, the starter and the marshal ALL need to go back to etiquette school. The marshal was especially bad.

A couple of changes this week from last week. Number 6 tee box is now under construction. Using forward right tee box currently. Number 5 bunkers around green undergoing construction and temporary tee box still in effect. Number 7 tee box open and the work they did on this hole, makes for a much better looking hole. Even with construction pace of play today was 3:45. Overall course conditions are very good. Friday July 19 course closed in AM for outside shotgun tournament.

Work has begun on hole # 5. Temporary tee leaving this par 3 @ 100 yards. Work has finished on 6 with the removal of two bunkers and new white sand in current bunker but would still expect to see new tee boxes in the future. Number 7 is now using the new front tee with the blue/white tee box to open Friday. They have removed the first bunker at the 200 yard marker (yes) left side of fairway and redone the remaining bunkers with new sand and leveling, making this uphill par 4 more playable. Was able to speak with one of the county personnel this morning and he said they hope to have all work done by end of Aug.
