Beautiful day to play golf. Warm, no wind, reasonable pace of play. The greens were very good, fairways are dormant, so plaenty of extra roll. Sand in the bunkers was very nice, but many of the bunkers I was in were unraked ! Come on people - please rake the traps !

Lots of fun holes, great views, and scenic. Always enjoy playing here!

Played there on Sunday 2-5-12 on a free round and let me tell you, aside from the fairways being dormant, every thing else was great, nice greens a bit on the slow sticky side, i prefer them fast and furious. Rough was lush and long, sand like it came from a godest like beach, white, pure and soft.
Course is very well designed, nice views, challenge and reward when you drive well. Will go back for sure if they ever lower those extremely high rates.

Played first off at sunrise. Wow was it cold! Lots of frost, particularly on the back nine, but they let me out. The fairways appeared dormant, although the GPS indicated they were recently overseeded? Lots of extra roll, which was needed, because the ball does not travel too far in 39 degree temperatures.

Staff was as always - fantastic! The one constant I find at this course is the personal behind the desk are ALWAYS wonderful. (I only play here once or twice a year, but for as long as I can recall, they are simply the friendliest or any course I patronize)

Tees were still recovering from the overseeding I guess because they were very thin ! Otherwise no complaints about the overall condition.

I played this course (11/2) as part of a charity tournament. I know that this course has just finished aerating the greens recently, but with that said, it was in the worse condition that I have seen it. I have played here a half dozen time in the last year and have never seen it like this. On top of that, the Santa Ana winds were blowing very strong and made the round tough.
Tee Box- The front 9 tee boxes were under repair (appears to be getting ready to be reseed) and was mainly dirt (although leveled). Back 9 was in better shape
Fairway- Was packed hard and and brown. Not sure if they reseeded the fairway or not, but it could sure use it.
Greens- They aerated half the greens earlier last month and the other half recently. IT made it very interesting to putt from a bumpy area to a smoother area
Traps- Packed hard
Rough- Not in bad shape and not really long

All i all, I would wait a while longer before going back to play this course. Allow the crew to get it in better shape.

nice little layout here...tight, short, but challenging...target golf oriented, so if you spray it off the tee, bring more balls...conditions about right...greens rolled decent and had some undulation to them, overall it was a nice course to play....BUT i must say this place has made one bad decision! why let "kids" be starters??? honestly i had the rudest 22 year old starter address me on the first tee...tone of voice DISRESPECTFUL...even argued with me to the point i thought i was going to have to lay my hands on this kid!...he asked me to skip the first hole cause i was "suppose" to join a 2some that was on the 1st green...his reason: he had five foursomes ready to go off and i guess their members?!?...after arguing with this kid about why it was within my rights to play "18 holes" when i payed for "18 holes" i decided then and their im never coming back to coyote again...the staff did nothing...i guess this place should just be full private, but needless to say its just about the $$$ here...

Shot 77 from black tees and lost one ball (#18) so I hit it down the middle today. Course is in very good shape and a fun play, but not worth $125.00 on the weekends.

Played 7/22/11. We (foursome) teed off at 3:30 and finished at 8:15 as the sun was nearly down. Our outing was tarnished by long waiting periods on each tee - This is something I have come to expect in southern California. The course is challenging. Narrow fairways and O.B trouble on nearly every hole. Tee boxes were fine. Fairways and rough were fine. Bunkers were fine and greens were in pretty good shape. Big elevation on a couple of holes from the tee boxes make it fun. Very scenic course, well maintained. About $70 bucks to play and worth it. GPS in every cart. Lots of ice for your cooler. Not bad at all. I'll return at some point to play again.

Played here for the first time over the weekend on a twilight rate. The course was not crowded, the service was great, and everything was in excellent shape. The only problem is that I was playing over my head.

The course meanders through housing developments in the Brea/Fullerton Hills area, and just about every fairway is narrow. The very definition of target golf. If you can shoot straight, even if you don't hit long, you can enjoy this course. For a spray hitter like me, this was the wrong type of course. There are very few holes where there is a neighboring fariway left or right, so if you get past the rough, chances are you are going to be OB. Even one of my friends, an excellent golfer, lost a ball OB to a canyon with a slight draw.

The course is not overly long especially if you play from the blue or red tees. We played from the blacks, and the length was not the issue. I don't hit a ton, but my length was not a problem. The fact that I kept loosing balls to the hillsides, that was a problem.

It is definitely worth a return trip, I just need to straighten out my game off the tee, then I can enjoy playing, even if I do post a high number.

Played late morning on a warm sunny day Wednesday, 6/29/2011. Had played here a few months ago and had some email exchanges with the GM regarding comments in my rating - he was nice enough to send me a 2-for-1 round - very nice gesture. In general, the course was in overall better condition than when I played a few months ago - greener and more lush. Greens were generally receptive, rolled at medium-fast speed, especially downhill, not too many ball marks.

The concerns - overall too much water on the course. Many greens had very wet, almost mushy areas in the mouths of the the green approaches - trying to bounce the ball on the green resulted in a squishy stop. There were many very wet areas on the fairways, without a consistent pattern of occurrence. Two bunkers I was in were extremely wet with standing water in the bottom, and I saw at least two other bunkers in the same condition. While the majority of the greens were medium firm and receptive, the green on the uphill par-5 15th was very firm, and a couple of our good shots wound up bouncing over the green. Some fairways were either hairy or very thin. We encountered many of the gold and black tees with uneven areas, and the tees themselves are generally fairly narrow, so there wasn't much in the way of options in finding a level spot. And the member I was paired with was taking phone calls all day, when he wasn't loudly yakking with his buddy.

This looks like more nays than yeas, but the course is challenging, scenic, and fun to play. Overall, I like this course, but like most OC courses it's overpriced, and I would only likely play twilight or an internet deal.
