This course is less than a mile from my house, and it is hard for me to play it because of the slow play. A 5 hour round is typical. American Golf should really consider spacing the tee times out a little more. When you play all 5-somes, the pace is dreadful. Other than that, the course is a great course, water, elevations changes, good driving range and you can get some real bargain rates.

Played Friday 10/21/05. Friend & I walked on and waited only 10 minutes tops.Great staff all around. As for the course, Have not areated the greens (why we went there) so they were rolling true and in great shape.( more so if people would fill their divots) Was a little damp at spots but that's understandable after "Storm watch 2005! Course is challenging.Expect a lot of sloped putts and fairway shots.(uphill ,downhill,) Reminds me kind of like a mini Westridge in La Habra or Shorcliffs in San Clemente.My friend & I have only been playing a few years and we are trying to golf at a new spot evrrytime in Orange County. I'd have to rate this in my top five in O.C all around rating.

They haven't aerated the greens yet. I think they might be waiting for their halloween tourney. The greens are receptive to all shots and rolling pretty good. The fairways have some wet spots and a couple dead spots. The tee boxes are so-so. For the price and being that it's an american golf site it's still a nice course.

First time I've played this course- enjoyed it. The greens were in great shape- finally a course where people repair their ball marks! Liked the layout- not much trouble other than a little water. You don't need to be a long knocker to score well.

Played on 8/23 and had a fun round. Their smaller greens are tough to hit but that's what made it enjoyable. Liked the layout - more challenging than the length might indicate. Minor inconvenience as ... Continue »

Played on 8/23 and had a fun round. Their smaller greens are tough to hit but that's what made it enjoyable. Liked the layout - more challenging than the length might indicate. Minor inconvenience as they were doing some work on front of #2 green but they told me of it when I made reservation. Found out it was small drainage project. I asked about green punching and done in Fall. I'll be back.

Firm Greens!! I was told they will be punched this week 8-22 thru...beware. Give it two weeks after punching and it should play better. All said, a fun muni. course.

You gotta update your layout in GolfWits yardage book for Meadowlark GC in Huntington Beach. Hole 5 and 6 are now 1 and 2 and holes 1, 2, 3, and 4 are now 3, 4, 5, and six. 7 to 18 are still the same.

Great golf course, great water play, great pace of play. Friday morning was wet on the course. Variety in the types of holes...uphill, downhill, etc. Great fun.

Compared to my previous posting, the course now has very manageable rough, you can find your ball much easier. The pace is decent considering there's a lot of newbies playing & even with the wind blowing in the afternoon. Overall, it was an enjoyable round for my group Saturday afternoon.
