This course is always fun whether you are a good golfer or not a good golfer. The course is in a great shape as usual. Tee box, fairway and greens are all maintained well. If I want to be a little picky, I would like them to level the tee box area a little more carefully. The classic course is easier than the players course but it is still hard enough to test your golf skills. Overall, if you avoid the trees in a fairway, you should be fine. Therefore, the tee shot is very important here. In the afternoon, the wind becomes strong in this course, so watch out the wind!!
This course has three big putting greens and a drive range right next to the club house, so come early and pratice your shots. Have fun!

Played July 4th 2010, Course was in nice shape. The tee boxes were pretty flat and greens were in really nice condition (though it didn't help me any). The only thing was the greens weren't holding well that day. Barely anything stuck unless I through it really high with alot of backspin. Otherwise, I was getting 5-10 Ft of release. Other than that, the course was great and was in the condition you'd hope for on a public course that gets this kind of traffic.

Teed off at 6:55am and finished in 3.5 hours. The greens are the best part of the golf course. They roll medium/fast and hold shots. The greens slope from back to front so its a good idea to stay below the hole. The tee boxes, rough, and bunkers are in good shape. The fairways are in good shape with the exception of holes 14, 16, and 17 which have a few small areas under repair. Straight forward layout but enjoyable to play.

Had a tee time today at 8:52. Played in about 4 1/2 hours. Tee boxes where in good shape. For the most part fairways where also in good shape. In some places though, they where a bit thin. The green side bunkers that I played from, all had plenty of sand. The greens rolled smooth and medium speed. Staff was friendly and helpful as always. Cart girl was around at least 5 times. A great bargain at $34.00.

Played on a Friday morning. Course is in very good shape, especially the greens. They were playing medium fast to fast and were smooth, true with no appreciable damage. This has always been one of my favorite tracts. It’s a simple, classic (as the name implies) layout with bunkers that will catch the unwary or unlucky. The fairways were in good condition considering how many walkers there are; there were not a lot of unrepaired divots. as The sand and the rough were also in good condition. The tee boxes were a little beat up but they were playable.

$34 walking Monday through Thursday in Orange County with these conditions probably cannot be beat. Good pace for us in 4 hours. We were 4 walkers following 4 walkers--never an unreasonable wait. Nothing in the way of scenery or atmosphere as this course and its sibling, the Players course are bordered on all sides by what passes for urbanity in Orange County. Very good golf experience as usual, and this course is definitely on my ‘inexpensive’ (and only these days) rotation.

The biggest problem I have with this place is the terrible customer service. This is the second time in the past month I booked a tee time which they somehow managed to lose.

The biggest problem I have with this place is the terrible customer service. This is the second time in the past month I booked a tee time which they somehow managed to lose.

My foursome arrived at 8:20 for our 9:00 tee time and upon checking in, we found out we were no where to be found on their tee time list. Mind you, this was the second time in the past month that this has happened so needless to say, I was quite peeved. The starter's only suggestion was to "hang around and hope a group doesn't show up." He could have tried to squeeze us on since they screwed up but he offered no assistance or even an apology. As I walked out of the clubhouse, another golfer came up to me and told me he had the same problem the weekend before. I will not be playing here for a while as I feel this utterly ridiculous. I will happily spend my money on another course whose employees have more character and respect for their customers.

Played Tuesday, 4/13. Teed off at 7:30am and finish in four hours. The course is in excellent condition overall. Some of the bunkers were wet in the middle due to the previous day of rain. The rough, fairways, and tee boxes are in good condition. The fairways are lined with large mature trees but the fairways provide room off the tee. The greens roll smooth with medium/fast speed. The greens slope from back to front so it is wise not to get above the hole.
