Broke my own "Don't play twilight" rule. Was the last group out before the twilight times started. So I paid full boat. My bad. Group ahead of us teed off 30 minutes before us. We caught them on #3. 3 hours, 12 holes I was done.

Course was in great shape. Greens were perfectly smooth and rolled well. I will be back ust not on a weekend afternoon.

I went to Mile Square at about 9am on Saturday and got off the waiting list in less than a half hour. The course condition, tee to green was very good. The greens were EXCELLENT! I always forget about this course for some reason, but for $48 to walk on a weekend it is a pretty good deal (for the OC).

The overall condition was very nice! Greens rolled well and fairly quick. Pace of play was slow, but not intolerable. I sure wish they would have left the original 18 the way it was, but I understand ... Continue »

The overall condition was very nice! Greens rolled well and fairly quick. Pace of play was slow, but not intolerable. I sure wish they would have left the original 18 the way it was, but I understand for routing purposes, it had to be done. With wind up, played it's full length of 6714 yards!

The course is in great shape. I was intrigued by the wire mesh around the ponds. I was wondering what the ruling would be for relief from an immovable obstruction in a hazard. I am quite sure that you get relief w/o penalty as long as you drop the ball in the same hazard. There was a red line giving you room to do that. A 5 hour round !!!!???? unacceptable Do people who play slow and cause OTHERS to play for 5 hours care?? hello??? One of the few negatives of this great game is that people don't care:( :( :(

Wide fairways. Most of the hole design is pretty much hit straight. Greens are big and make sure put the ball below the hole. Condition of the course is great. pace of the play for the weekends good.... Continue »

The course is in very good condition. The greens are the best part of the course. They typically slope from back to front and run medium/fast. They rolled smooth and held shots nicely. The bunkers, rough, and tee boxes are in good shape. The fairways are also in good shape with only a few thin spots.

This is a straight forward course. Keep the drives between the mature tree lines and the approach shots below the hole. With two courses at Mile Square it is fairly easy to get out on weekdays and the staff is friendly.

The Classic course has been out of my normal rotation for 5 plus years. I normally play tees of 6,500 yards of less, but the group voted on the blues - about 6,700 yards. The extra yardage was not much of a factor, but the afternoon wind sure was! The greens were medium fast, rolled true, and held irons hit from the fairway. The course is relatively flat and easy to walk. It has mature trees and well positioned sand traps with very good sand quantity (no thin or bare lies). Customer service was excellent - the group with the tee time before ours was late and wanted to hit balls on the range --- the pro shop asked us if we wanted to switch places. THANKS. Also, we saw the cart girl several times on each nine. The only negative was the $48 to walk rate, but it was prime time on a Sunday.

Course is the worst place to have tournaments. They stack their tee times so close together, it delays everyone by the time 11:00 AM comes around. Our tournament in early April started 50 minutes late. And, we had to pay a tournament premium. The gentlemen working in the pro shop didn't seem to care and actually were quite apathetic to the situation.

WORST! NEVER AGAIN!
