played twilight today at the classic course. The first thing I noticed was that all the divots were filled with sand as far as you could see in the fairway and every fairway after that seemed strange but a nice touch. The fairways were in good to better condition with some holes having a few spare spots and others were perfect. The areas that were thin, the course had identified them with a little paint around the edges. The greens were an excellent condition and I did not see any unfixed ball marks. The bunkers looked like they had new sand in them but I did not get a chance to find out. I teed off at 1:30 and finished 18 at 5:50. All in all, really a nice course and will defineately be back

Played on Saturday with dconnally in the south match play and had a great time. David is fun to play with and even though the round was 5+ hours, it did not feel that long. Course is in good shape for mile square. Greens are as good and fast as I have ever seen them here and the rest of the course is in pretty good shape as well. Bunkers are good and fairways are in good shape, the only problem is the tee boxes, especially on the par 3's. Great time to play mile sqare now.

Played in the GK South Group Match Play round 2 with zachary - what a class act and great guy. He brought his bro and a good friend and we had a great time on a perfect day for golf - warm, sunny, almost no wind. MS is in great shape right now with the greens being the best part - firm, fast, and rolling great. Fairways were OK. Par 3 tees were prety badly torn up. Pace of play was poor as they allow 5somes and we started almost 30 minutes late on a 10AM time, then took 5+ hours to play. Generally ample hitting areas but offline shots can find large mature trees and be blocked. Saw the cart girl several times and snack shack is convenient at the turn. No ranger. Recommended.

A little late review. Played for the first time on 11/21 right after the pouring rain. I thought it would be muddy and a soft green, but it was nothing like that. Few parts of the shady spot of the fairway was a little muddy, but nothing too bad. The greens were fast and rolled truly. Most of the fairway was lush, but on the back nine some bare spots. Tee boxes were mostly lush and even. Some had a little ware and tear. Sand trap was in good condition for the most part, except few of them had a puddle from the rain in the morning. Finished our round in just over 4 hours. I think the rain scared a lot of people, so I think we lucked out on that. Customer service was excellent. Would definitely come back to play here, but will try the Players next time.

The greens are in perfect condition. An unrepaired ball mark will stick out like an ugly pimple on these greens. Its mind boggling how on such emaculate greens people still don't fix their marks. The rest is only fair to good. The fairways are a mix of nice grass to dry yellowed out areas. I was very unlucky on Monday the 22nd. I played behind 9 men-4some and 5some-that simply did not know what they were doing. The lead group was 3 to 4 holes behind on the entire back 9. Like most courses the course ranger is useless. I asked nicely for them to speed up but it fell on deaf ears. By far the thing I dislike the most about golf is slow play. In America slow play is rampant. All it takes is a little selfless care to allow others behind you to enjoy their game by being aware of where the group is in front of you and keeping pace.

The course was in nice condition, greens, fairways, etc. I thought the greenside bunkers were rather "crusty" which I am not a fan of. Nice old traditional course. too bad they had to add the four "new" holes to this track. I understand the logistics, but I preferred the original course.
