Played this morning at 7:40 and done by noon. Course is in very good condition, the fairways seem to be getting better as the weather warms up and the bermuda takes off. The greens had been punched with very small holes recently, this didn't effect the speed or the roll on the greens. Must be to be sure they get irrigated properly. This is a very nice layout with very fair landing areas on the fairways but difficult approach shots and large greens. Staff is always very professional and helpful.

Played super-twilight at ~5PM on Thursday, 4/28/11, on a warm sunny afternoon with only light breezes. Course in very good condition with greens coming out of aeration a few weeks ago - greens were soft and receptive, smooth and rolling medium-fast. Good lies in fairways, good sand in bunkers - I visited several. After you get beyond the primary cut of rough, grass is thick, deep, and penalizing, and many lost balls result, even fairly close to fairways. Still recommended.

Conditions are usually fairly good, greens get high marks, tee boxes are good, fairways are very firm right now (too firm IMO), sand traps are a mixed bag (some OK others short on sand). I like the design and the course, It isn't that difficult but has a nice feel for being in the middle of Irvine.

Played Thursday, 04/21/11 and used the LivingSocial.com coupon (paid $60 for $120 course credit). So the round cost me a total of $65. Fairways, rough, and tee boxes were in great shape. Sand traps were also in good shape but I was surprised at how many bunkers were unraked by some of the players in front of us. Greens were pretty good - rolling about a 9 on the stimp. A little bumpy at times from their recent aerification (I think it happened about 3 weeks ago). Greens should be perfect in another week or two...just need to be mowed and rolled. Other than that, the course wasn't too challenging...good/lengthy par 3s and both par 5s on the front are reachable in two. For the green fee I paid, it's a steal. I wouldn't pay $160 on the weekend to play here...but I might play during the week for $125. All in all, good course and a good golf experience.

Played super-twilight Thursday afternoon, 3/24/11, on a cool breezy day threatening rain. Course uncrowded and consisted mostly of singles scattered in a long line. Was cartpath only everywhere, although condition did not warrant this, and I got worn out from the walking. Fairways and greens were firm and in good shape. Tight lies in fairways with many unfilled divots, and greens were firm and medium fast, with not that many unrepaired marks. Some greens on the back 9 had splotchy brown areas on them. In two bunkers - one with good sand, the other wet and very firm with little sand. Rough 2-3 inches and damp. Still recommended.

Played the super twilight today and was able to finish all 18 holes. Course is in pretty good shape, the fairways are very firm and fast. The rough is lush and makes for some difficult shots out of it. The greens were a little soft and bumpy but i guess thats expected in the afternoon. Customer service was great. Overall a great place.

Disappointed. I play here every so often and usually it's a nice course. Monday, however, was not the case. Fairways were dried up and the greens looked like they had been spray painted. Divot marks ALL over the place - some municipals have better conditions.

Never was told of any kind of maintenance scheduled - but I think they were trying to cram as many as they can in before doing so. Every hole - the tee box was backed up by a foursome; sometimes two foursomes... Really?!? Not worth the price for Monday's game - hope it is not a new way of running a golf course for them...

Played at 11:30 Sunday, 12/5, in the GK South Match Play event. Course was in great shape and staff was great and supportive of GK. Greens firm, fast, and held shots. Fairways dormant and tight but lies were good. Rough was wet and swallowed balls - lies in the rough adjacent to fairways were spotty - sometimes the ball sat down, sometimes not. Saw ranger a few times and he worked with us to let a faster group through, as we were having a lot of trouble with the fast greens. Saw cart girl several times. Lots of fun with other GKers and looking forward to round 2.
