Played an early Sunday round in under four hours. That was the best part of the round. The course had issues with water which we were aware last time here. What we didn't know and were NOT informed of when we paid for the round was the greens had not been cut in a few DAYS. We asked the marshal on hole seven about this and he said it wasn't his duty? The course has greened up with the water being dumped on it and the late season warm weather. The back tee boxes were all barren with most having NO grass at all. The rough is now very thick again and extremely wet. The fairways are coming back with many places on the course still thin and/or dried out. Most holes still require a foot wedge for a legitimate second shot!! The greens were all WET and had the longest grass I've ever seen on a course in 45 years of playing the game. The traps were all in very bad shape still. Overall the conditions have improved since the last time here with the exception of the long greens. Not sure what the owners think they're doing?? It will be some time before we play here again.

Starter said they are having water problems. He was correct. Course is a nice layout but burnt out areas all around including the greens.

Early morning 4.5 hours round to beat the heat. Our partner who booked the round had no idea the course has been struggling with water issues. We were told upon checking in that they have had a broken water main and the course would be discounting the rate. There were many many dried out sections on every hole that required you to move the ball to hit. The Bermuda has even dried out? Not sure it was just a broken water main? The tee boxes were all thin and dry but had adequate coverage. Most of the fairways had spotty coverage with patches of green and a lot of brown. Many tight dry lies. The rough was really not visible and was usually dried out Kikuyu along the sides of the fairways, closer to the hole and green side the rough was mostly green but thin and difficult to hit from. Most of the traps were in sad shape with little to no sand in several I saw. Green side traps were hit and miss depending on the hole. The greens were in passable condition with a few in terrible condition and several in really nice shape. There were dried out sections on a few that reminded me of courses that were shut down because of the lack of water. Those greens with shade were in much better condition and mostly green but much slower than usual. The present conditions really are discouraging to see. Hopefully the maintenance team can somehow bring this place back into what it was becoming again the last couple times we have played it.

Sunday morning 4.5 hour round behind the posers again. There are a couple of groups who play here early weekend mornings that like to be SEEN but never set a PACE!! The staff is always on point and efficient. The tee boxes were all damp from the rain and scruffy from lack of care. The rough has grown back with the cooler damp days making for and egg hunt on many holes. The amount of weeds and clover have overwhelmed a few holes. The fairways have declined with mostly dormant bermuda and patches of green clumps of various types of grasses. Some of the fairways resemble a cow pasture now. The sand traps are in very poor condition and many were so wet you had to remove your ball to hit a shot. The greens were all in really nice condition with total coverage. The smooth greens held shots well but were somewhat slower than usual with the rain over night. The rates remain reasonable in comparison to the other local offerings but the conditions are not very good right now.

Sunday morning round in slightly over four hours. Staff was great as always. The tee boxes all had good coverage but they really need to level out the gold tee box on hole six. The rough has been cut down nicely and finding a wayward ball is pretty easy. Making a good shot from the rough is also much easier with most of the clover gone now. The fairways have maintained good coverage and most tee shots found fluffy lies even on the dormant sections of bermuda. There were places throughout the round that were being drenched for some reason? The fourth fairway had work being performed in the landing area with a ditch and trenching equipment present. The traps have all been trimmed up nicely but many still need to be raked and the sprinklers directed away from them. Probably quite a few traps are also in need of sand. The greens had great coverage and were fairly quick. A big gripe has to be made about the crew that resets the pin placement. Every green has numerous previous pin placements that has been set below the level of the green. Making for round low lying circles that definitely effect the line of your putt if you had to go through one. The greens held good shots and there were not too many ball marks in need of repair. The course has held steady on rates which is rare in the golf course community anymore. Still a good place for a reasonably priced quick round of golf.

Played an early morning Sunday round in right at four hours. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The gold tee boxes were all a little thin and shaggy from start to finish but playable. The rough is not too long but will help stop you ball if it finds itself in it. You can hit a pretty good shot from most of the lies you will find in the rough. The fairways are quite a mix of grasses (with bermuda the prominent) on almost every hole. You will see quite a bit of clover and weeds in sections of the course. The still green bermuda fairways do provide fairly good lies on most holes. The traps are still just hard packed dirt and sand with many being fairly damp and wet. The best part of the course remains the greens. There were very few ball marks on the greens and they were holding shots really well. The speed was slightly slower than usual but it was still a little damp from the rains the day before. A couple of the greens were somewhat bumpy from worms possibly? IF the maintenance crew had rolled them they would have been in better condition. There are a couple holes where the pesky pine needles come into play. It would be nice to carry a small battery powered blower for those. The green fees, location and ability to get a tee time here make it a good place to play a quick round if in the area.

Early Sunday morning four hour round. The tee boxes have better coverage but a few were set in sections that were sloped in every direction. The rough is still penal enough to make the hunt for a ball in it somewhat difficult. You really have to watch the ball to have a chance to locate it if you are unlucky enough to be in it. The course was a little damp in a few places which required you to move your ball to hit from a place that was dry. Fairways continue to slowly improve but the cloudy and cooler weather has not helped the bermuda. You still will find unfair lies with the mixture of so many types of grass. The traps were in much better condition with most being fairly well groomed but most had damp to wet thin sand in some. Many of the traps have ample passable sand that really needs to be raked to soften up the lies. The greens were in better shape with very few ball marks. The poa still can frustrate you once you find yourself on the however. The speed has quickened but still not nearly as quick as they usually roll. The front nine are considerably softer and slower than the back nine. Pin placements were definitely in some extremely difficult sections of the greens front and back. The course does show slight progress to improved conditions but still not what it could be.

Played and early morning four hour round on a great day. The staff and facilities are great and the employees are always friendly. The carts are holding up and the practice facilities maintained. Many of the tee boxes were beat up throughout the round and finding a spot to tee up wasn't easy on a few. The rough has finally been brought back down to earth with most of the holes having a manageable length. Finding your rough balls was difficult but not impossible. The fairways are filling in great with the bermuda starting to puff up. The lies on many of the holes were difficult with the different grasses growing at different rates. Your tee shots would often times find the lowest place they could in the fairways with the ball sitting down. The traps are in need of work as many have palm shoots and grass growing in them. The traps that were in good shape and had ample sand were damp and in need of a good raking. The greens have recovered totally from the recent maintenance and were very receptive to shots. They were quite a bit softer than usual and noticeably slower than usual. Every green has tons of poa which affected putting lines and was frustrating combined with the slower greens. The course overall looks much better than it has in the past and continues to slowly improve.

Early morning round at Temeku is just over four hours. Staff is friendly and helpful. Carts are holding up well and the practice facilities are good. The tee boxes were all a little shaggy but had good coverage. The rough has been cut down but the clover and trimmings still will play hide and seek with your offline shots. Once located in the rough you were still able to hit from it better than you'd think. The fairways were firm and patchy grass wise with different types on each hole. Fairway lies ranged from good to poor with clumps of longer grasses mixed in with the bermuda that is trying to come out of hibernation. Most of the traps were in need of maintenance with the fairway traps being firm and weedy. The green side traps were thin damp sand and difficult to hit from. The greens were in good shape but every single one was full of poa everywhere. The poa trimmings from the mowers covered your putter and shoes when you walked off to your cart. They held well struck shots and were slow at first but sped up to near normal by the end of our round. The rates are still better than the local competition but the playing conditions are lacking. Great layout with some challenging holes. Hopeful the drier and warmer weather helps them out with the conditions.
