Overall, very interesting track. Challenging, tons of elevation changes, and lots of interesting holes. For the walkers, like I am...not unless you're a masochist! Hundreds of uphill yards between holes. Local knowledge is definitely helpful, but the guy in the proshop gave me a free yardage book, so that made things easier.

The tee boxes were a mixed bag. Some holes were shaggy, others were nicely mowed. The fairways were the highlight for me. Nice coverage, good lies. The rough was challenging. Many a ball was swallowed from our group.

Now, the greens. Greens make or break a course for me. These were a bit disappointing. Not awful, but more than once I found myself saying 'the greens are a problem.' For $75, they should've been better. The biggest issue, which falls upon all of us, was the unacceptable amount of unrepaired ball marks. I had to clean up my lines all day. Once cleaned up, the greens rolled really well. I made lots of putts, but it was a lot of work!

I would recommend Glen Ivy (or Trilogy?) Lots of fun to be had, and some really great golf holes. Who doesn't love blasting a drive off a 150 foot cliff on 18?? Full rack rate is pushing it, but I'll be stepping up for my next helping in the near future.

My first time here at Trilogy, I mean Glen Ivy, went off at 10:15AM with a 4:30 PoP in a match play event with the Dawgs. From the blues, most long hitters will leave the driver in the bag ... my drives average 250 and I am fairly straight so I was playing driver/wedge on most par 4's and driver/3 metal/sand wedge to the par 5's. There are a couple longer par 3's to make it fair. There are some very nice views and points of interest on this course, it's tucked up in the canyons of Corona, scenic stuff with lots of up and down (walking would be a bear) ... the 18th tee must be 150 feet above the fairway. I enjoyed the layout, similar to it's neighbors: the Retreat but not as penal, and E-Glen but not as flat/boring. Conditions were mixed as the fairways were dry and firm with decent coverage ... I never had a bad lie in the short grass. Rough about the same, mostly cut short but long enough to keep you focused. Bunkers are abysmal here ... dry, rocky, crusty ... just terrible 'sand' if that's what they want to call it. Really, the only knock against the course. Greens were great, cut low and medium/fast, mostly good rolls all day. I'll be looking for deals and will come again for sure. It's a step above the other two courses I mentioned in the same area ... just wonder why it took me so long to play here. Recommended.

Course very playable, fairways do not look nice but ball sits up good, Bunkers I was in had plenty of sand, however raking was an issue for players. Greens on 14 and 17 had a few
areas where the aeration sand was still present. A few greens were bumpy but overall rolled
well. The group made a lot of putts, so that is a good measuring stick. Staff was Friendly. POP was great until we hit 16. It must of taken an hour to play the last 3 holes. I actually think its typical here for the back to take longer to play, its very scenic and more difficult of the nine, so be prepared to hit the brakes! Worth the Price at $35. Played here yesterday (as did many other GK'ers apparently). Not much to add to previous review. Greens are healing nicely for only being 2 weeks after punching. Another week and they'll be good to go. Tees and rough were pretty good. Can't comment on bunkers. Fairways were firm and fast. Course was packed but POP was just a tick under 5 hours and we never really waited more than a minute or two on a given shot. Good flow to the round. Customer service was excellent. Gotta love the ego boost when launching your drives on #16 & #18 (375 yds and 370 yds respectively).

Back to my favorite course in Corona. This being the last weekend to use Underpar voucher, you can imagine how packed the course was. They ran out of carts and were charging the ones used in the AM.... Continue »

Back to my favorite course in Corona. This being the last weekend to use Underpar voucher, you can imagine how packed the course was. They ran out of carts and were charging the ones used in the AM. We were lucky enough that our carts lasted the full 18. Starter warned us in case we get stranded to call in and they will bring out another cart. The staff here was great. Everyone was very helpful and certainly pleasant to deal with.

We teed off on time and finished under 5 hours to my pleasant surprise. Given the fact that the tee sheet was full, and we waited on every hole - we actually finished in decent time.
Both Mike and Brian was playing their GK match in the group in front of us so we got to see some spectacular shot making.

Greens were ok. I think they are still healing from the maintenance a few weeks back. a little bumpy as it was close to end of the day. medium to fast.
1st cut rough was not too penalizing as some areas are dried out while others have little grass to grab your clubs.
Bunkers were ok from what I can see.
You get a lot of roll from the fairways as it was kinda thin and dry.
Some of the water hazard were dried out due to the water situation but still enjoyed the round.

Overall, it was a fun day and course is always great to finish off at from the top 18th tee.

Will be back soon.

At first glance, you could tell that conditions were dry. I assume that they are under a water restriction, although I didn't ask. Tees and greens were pretty nice. Rough was minimal and fairways were extremely fast and firm. Bunkers had plentiful sand and were in very good condition. The greens ran fast and true, make sure you factor in the "hill effect" - everything runs toward the I-15 freeway.

Service was excellent and we saw the cart girl 3 or 4 times during the round.

So, even though the course is very thirsty, it is still fully playable and was a lot of fun.

I try to play here at least once a year. Because I have experienced difficulty getting off first, I tend to shy away, but when I was told I had the first time off, and there were no "shot-guns, outings, etc, I figured I'd go for it. However when I arrived I was told that the men's club would shot-gun back from #14 at 8:00am. It was my plan to play super slow and maybe not run into them at all. Well when I got to # 10, there was foursome on the green and another foursome in the fairway. I asked what was going on and was told, "they went all the way back to #10) Long story short, took me over 2 1/2 hours to play the back nine, which was twice as long as it took to play the front even trying play slowly !!!! NOT HAPPY !

The greens were rock hard ! No chance to stop even a sand wedge ! They didn't look fast, but because they were so firm, they rolled out further than I thought. In all fairness, the course is in decent condition, but sitting in the cart waiting is just not "my cup of tea" Maybe I'm just spoiled ????

I had not played here in a couple years and I'm not quite sure what is happening with the course right now. It could be excellent, but it just isn't at the moment. Played Sunday 3/8 with a couple buddies on an Underpar coupon at 12:16. We noticed that a group of 8 people were loitering around the starter's box (who didn't seem all happy to be there) about 10 minutes before our tee time so our threesome ran over attempting to get out ahead of them. Nope. We were told that we would have to wait for the two groups to tee off. After all that we teed off 20 minutes late and finished 5 hours later and not a marshall in sight. Most of the course was in okay winter condition. Fairways were dormant-ish bermuda but gave solid lies for the most part and LOTS of roll. Rough was highly variable in term of thickness. Most was normal length rye but there were a few patches where a US Open broke out. Greens were firm and crusty but slower than they appeared. Rolled fairly well though apart from the many unfixed ballmarks. Tee boxes (Black) were good. Bunkers were rubbish. Footprints galore, extremely dry, silty sand that blew up in clouds when you raked them and they had finger to fist sized ROCKS in them. Really ridiculous. I also noticed that a handful of holes had cups that were not put in straight. That's just laziness and lack of care in my book. I had a good time with my buddies (especially after launching a few drives on #18) but the overall quality of the course is definitely deteriorating when compared to the first few times I played it. The underpar deal still made the round good value ($35) but I'd rather pay $15 more to see the course in better shape.

Played this morning. Usually try to play this course at least once a year during the winter months. A little to hot for summer. Course in decent shape. Some tight lies in several fairways. They probably don't put much water on it during the winter. Greens pretty hard and fast. Hard to get close to the hole from distance. Rough not too bad, pretty lush actually. Some traps better than others. Very enjoyable round. Staff is excellent. We were a twosome and had a rather slow foursome in front and the Marshall asked if we wanted to play through. We were in no hurry so we declined. Have you EVER had a Marshall say that to you?
