Played today for a GK Event against LOTRGOLFER48 with very windy conditions. Course in decent shape not bad not good. Staff was very friendly and got us out a little early with another 2some

Tee boxes- Tee were lush and plenty of area to hit from and never saw anything negative to write about

Fairways- Cut real short and have POA coming through in small areas which can leave an interesting lye. Very fast and will roll for days

Sand = Garbage, concrete, evil, hard as hell- take your choice

Greens- Bumpy and covered in foot prints. still needs a few days- a week before being fully healed. definitely missed a few putts because of that

Rough- hit or miss i actually preferred to be in the first cut so i can have some grass to get under as the fairways could be hard.

In all a nice day with tough winds and will play again if the price is right

My two biggest complaints about my round today... You have a driving range and you go get balls and they have no range balls... No one picking balls staff was just okay with saying we have no balls you can get a refund. After the round we go to their restaurant and the waitress tells us they don't have a cook... So glen ivy has a range with no range balls and a restaurant with no cook to cook the food.. Awesome. Not going back there. Last time we were there we played 9 holes in 3 hours and 10 minutes. So that's two times the course leaves a bad taste in my mouth

A near perfect day to golf. The tee boxes were otkay, the fairways good, the greens in good to very good shape and fast. The bunkers were horrible, muddy, nearly as hard as concrete. This is a great layout with the downhill par 5's close enough to birdie for this mid handicapper. Next time I will call ahead as they were 40 minutes behind schedule. Per the starter, their Men's club plays really slow and was the cause of the delay. We saw the Marshall only on the 1st and 4th holes.

Played 2/29 using GK $60 twosome voucher-thanks GK and Glen Ivy--played blues 6392 in 4-10 on a beautiful 83* day with light breeze on one of my fav courses. Fairways are getting green with a mix of about 25% dormant area but overall with good lies firm but cushy as well. Not much rough but where it is it stops the ball but is easy to play out of. Tee boxes are lush level and minimal divot damage on par 3s. The 4 greenside traps I found had adequate sand giving me at least a reasonable chance to convert (2 for 4). The 1 fairway bunker I found on 18 was firm giving a good lie to enable a good out to set up a chip and putt for par. Greens looked to have shades of green and different grasses but rolled well medium fast and generally did not have much break as I often read. Keeping the pace and the line inside the cup seems to be the key here. I am a slow learner. Customer service is excellent from the desk to the starter you are made to feel welcome by people who have a high golf IQ and want to promote a good experience. Well worth the trip over the Ortega.

Played Glen Ivy on Thur., 2/25, 10:15 start time. Overall, fun layout and conditions above good and a great value considering I used the coupon here from GK. Greens: very good shape, smooth, rolling medium-fast, and low amount of ball marks T boxes: were in excellent shape firm and flat, nicely covered, just a tad long. Fairways: well covered, dormant grass. So long since I played over seeded fairways I have probably forgot how. Sand traps: very thin, not bad for the fairway traps, but way too thin for green side, fair. Layout: Fun I usually tear up here for some reason, easier than slope suggest and that does not include playing red instead of green. (See comment below) EDIT* ( sammy3 informed me that I made an error, that red stakes with green tips are to be played as lost with a 1 stroke penalty, not free as my group thought and which makes more sense. Now I need to try to collect on a skin that went against me. LOL) One change they did here, is make most out of bound shots environmental hazards and a free drop. I understand they're probably trying to speed up play, but for me I'll leave the ball lost and treat as a red stake hazard, one stroke penalty.

Played Trilogy Sat AM 13-Feb-16 0800 tee time. I just love this layout! It is an extremely enjoyable track-even though it is clearly struggling financially. Greens and tee boxes were in great shape. Fairways were mainly dormant and traps were OK-only a couple were unplayable.

Service was very good overall.

2/10/16, a beautiful day to golf. A Marshall came to the range and said we were up early, 20 minutes early! The fairways were hard and the fairway grass was dormant. Greens were true and the tee boxes were in good shape. Tony & I had a great round! We're were paired with Chuck and Ron, very positive and fun to golf with! I used the $30 per player GK coupon, no problem at all!

Course is gradually getting better since it has been in receivership. Greens are very fast (compared to other local courses such as Goose Creek and Eagle Glen) but roll smooth. Fairways are the same... Continue »

Course is gradually getting better since it has been in receivership. Greens are very fast (compared to other local courses such as Goose Creek and Eagle Glen) but roll smooth. Fairways are the same winter conditions that you find everywhere now. Sand traps are unacceptable (mostly hardpan with a thin layer of sand on top). This is a good layout and I would suggest playing winter rules here,.....and move your ball to an acceptable part of a green side sand trap if you land in one. I know that's golf blasphemy,....but the traps are truly unacceptable. Note to course,....at least maintain the bunkers that surround the greens,.....make them a size you can maintain and surround them with rough.

I always enjoy playing here because there are so many interesting holes and provides many birdie opportunities. I particularly enjoy the back nine. (So long as I ever have to walk it) The condition of the course is typical "winter" condition, with dormant fairways, but overall I thought it was better than many of the other courses I've recently played. Greens were more receptive than expected!

Off early so no problem with pace of play. Staff was vey accommodating. I very pleasant way to spend a couple hours to start the day.
