Played (8/7) again---2 times in as many weeks. Everytime I come here I just get my a$$ kicked. Hole 1 drive out of a chute--2nd shot easy. Hole 2 --long par three---tough green. Hole 3---drive out a chute--green is severely domed and very difficult to hit.
Greens right now will only accept very well placed shots with spin----they don't hardly even leave ball marks. I haven't seen anything like this since a day years ago at Lost Canyons. Hole 4 dogleg left to another severely domed green. Hole 5 dogleg par 5--not bad. Hole 6 always into the wind---plays tough. Rest of the course really gets easier after 6 with much more open landing areas and accessible and receptive greens.
Really just so serene and spectacular out there. No homes on course---you can be out there and feel like its just an ultra exclusive private club ---no one in sight. Cool.
Watch yourself out there looking for balls. I ran across two rattlesnakes mixed up doing the nasty dance. That got the heart going!

If you haven't played here--hit it.
If you think you're playing well--hit it and be humbled.

Played today 8/5. Course was empty, always seems like you're out there by yourself which is great. Fairways are good, a little long at times. Rough is lush. There are some spots in the rough and fairways that are bare and spotty but not too bad overall. Greens were great, rolled fast and smooth, pretty firm on shots. I really like the layout of the front 9, back 9 gets some major elevation changes which isn't my personal favorite but still fine. For good deals online I don't know how this course doesn't get more play. One of my favorites, highly recommended.

Played 6/15/2012. A friend referred this course and I checked the reviews and wasn't disappointed! We loved this course!!! Tee boxes, fairways, sand traps, greens were all in great shape. The only problems we had were coordinating our tee time with the Starter (we started late even though we were early - he seemed confused!), not being familiar with the course layout, even though we played with someone who played there before, and pace of play (5+ hours). Very challenging course, would definitively play there again!!!

Played Cross Creek today 5/6/12 and was expecting just a great maintained course from all the reviews that I have read, OH NO, OOPS. Here it goes, arrived mid morning for a noon tee-time and found that the practice greens, and range had not been cut, of course none of this was relayed by the club house or starter. Tee-boxes were not cut on the front or back, and found to be with quite a few divots and rather unlevel. Greens were hard but that was ok, the problem was the amount of ball marks not repaired which made the greens bumpy and roll untrue. Fairways on the front were nice, back side fairways were not mowed and really not what you would expect. Marshalls were no place to be found, which made the day interesting as the foursome in front of our group, were playing zig-zag golf and looking for lost balls for 10 minutes at times, forget about the fact that (THE NO CARTS SIGNS WERE IGNORED) or the fact that these HACKERS were cruising into the Environmentally off limit areas, add in that it was a warm day, Rattle Snake and Poison Ivy stakes were throughout the course in these areas and it made for an interesting watch!!(HA, HA) Would really like to play this course again in better conditions, my score really did not suffer just the atmosphere today, Give the course a 6.8 today for the problems of the day!!

played today 5-3 afternoon. This was my second round of the day(links at summerly early morning). This was my second time playing Crosscreek. Haven't played here for about 10 years. Love the course back then and love the course now. It wont be that long til i play this course again. I rate this course a solid 8. Course condition is good to great. Layout is very challenging(not a driver every hole type of course). Greens were smooth with a decent speed. Grass Range and customer service was A+

Heard about this track for a while, finally saw t time on golfnow.com and snatched it up. First off, recent history of course (lore) is kinda sketchy. Heard it has had its' ups and downs, but let me tell you, right now course is in great shape, is a very very nice layout and fun to play. My concern is on a Sunday morning it was not crowded and hope it sticks around.

Great location, way out in Temecula, but let me tell you well worth the drive. Meanders through the rolling hills up above Temecula. Great location.

Generally speaking is a very nice layout. There are a couple of holes that they seemed to slam in there requiring a Teeshot of approx 165-170 yards leaving another 170 yards to the pin.... not the best, but only a couple of holes. Requires you to be pretty darn accurate off the Tee, but length is not overly necessary.

Greens are way way firm. Was very difficult to stop balls on these things. Must play your shots short of the pin and let it run back, way back. Unfortunatly, many people need a lesson on repairing ball marks on the greens, as there were a number. Greens are pretty difficult and undulating, so you better be able to put a little bit.

Pace of play was pretty good, but we were 2nd off at 6 am on a sunday. Finished in 4 hours.

Overall is a great little hidden gem if they get enough play to keep it in good shape. Heard this is part of the history of this track. Sunday morning the course was definitely not overrun with golfers. Got a $48 deal on golfnow. At this price, I'd play it all day long even with the price of gas to get down there.

4-29-12 Played at 11am The course is in great condition, Tee boxes are great, Fairways are great, Greens are in great condition no bare spots or fungus. One green has a dead stripe down the middle about 5 inches wide from an oil leak in one of the mowers , think it was #3 or #4. Bunkers are a little firm from the recent rains 1 inch of loose sand and then firm. The rate of play was very good, not crowded at all. If you've played here before you know you can expect a good and tough course. Cheers

Played Sunday and teed off around 6:30 and finished by 10:30. The last time I played this course was about 3 years ago and it was in need of some serious help. Glad to see it's back in great shape. The first 6 holes were great until we hit the fog and since it had been awhile, I couldn't remember where to hit it! Cleared up around 13 and we had good visibility for the last four holes. Found difficulties putting today, the greens aren't real fast probably stimp around a 10 but they are tricky...for me anyway. Customer service was good, our first visit by the bev. cart was on 15 but that's understandable given the early tee time. My only two knocks on the course were the tee boxes were really shaggy and the course is poorly marked for yardage. $49 C4TT deal I would consider a bargain right now for this course. Had a great time and I will come back to play quicker knowing this new ownership has turned things around for the better.
