Played 9/23. tight course layout, can't use driver on many holes, target golf on some holes, greens were soft and slow, more yardage markers are required ie.dogleg 18th hole with ravine which you must over for your 2nd shot, my partner hit into ravine and then didn't know the distance from the edge of the ravine where we noticed many balls were deposited, course does advertise quiet, secluded atmosphere which is true because it's really out there. Not very enjoyable course, pace of play was slow, very good green fee deals available. Would not recommend and would not play again.

They had just aerated the greens on Monday with the smaller holes and they were just OK but should be great in another week. We played on Friday, 10/7. Condition of the traps was terrible, none of them were raked. If you are going to have sand traps please rake them. We got a great deal via the internet so that helped make up for the average conditions. Also, playing from the correct T's (from the Tee It Forward program) REALLY helps to enjoy your round!

Played here today, 8/19 for the first time in 4 years and was very surprised in the condition of the course. The greens were excellent, smooth and fast but still holding a well hit shot. Fairways were also excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful! Pace of play this AM was 4 1/2 hours but that is to be expected as the course is VERY challenging.
One thing that contributed to my enjoyment is that they have 5 sets of T's instead of 3 sets years ago. So if you play the correct set of T's for your game, you will enjoy this challenging course. As a Sr with a 9 handicap I played the Blue/Gold combo T's (5863 yds) and had a great time! Definitely will go back!

We had chance to play Crosscreek for the second time in the last few weeks. We were very impressed by the course on our first visit, and we agreed that it would fun to come back to play it, soon. This course is visually stunning. It's set in a valley, and the surrounding mountains provide for quite a view. As for the course, I'm going to throw out a pun and state that it's rough. It's been awhile since I've encountered rough as thick and wiry as that at Crosscreek. So much of the course management, here, is finding a way to avoid the rough. It was very difficult to decide how much more club was needed in order to reach the fairway/green. Further, it often turned my short irons over, and I'd have a low burner 20-30 yards wide of my target. Now, just past the rough, you have the natural chapparal and oak trees with which to contend. If you get in that stuff, then finding your ball (amongst the poison oak and snakes) will be a tough chore. It's quite a challenge from start to finish. Some folks may declare that a few of the holes are unfair, and it might be difficult to argue against them. Putting that aside, though, it's definitely worth the trip. Good luck!

Really enjoyed this course good deal for $35 after 11 we came in just after 10 something and starter got us right out. Perfect weather not too hot. Good thing we had our own drinks coz we didn't see the cart girl other than that everything was perfect. We liked it so much that we played another 18 right after for $15. Pace was very good finished at 7 pm. Saw some coyotes in the bushes a couple of times. I suggest you don't walk around without a club in hand. I don't know why we haven't played this track before very nice layout. We will be back very soon.

Played Cross Creek yesterday and it is in fantastic shape. Greens are a little on the slow side, but putt very true. Fairways and rough is lush and in great shape, sand needs a little work, but it is on the firm side, which I like. Starter is great and friendly and the guys in the proshop and the restaraunt are very nice. No cart girl today, so bring your own stuff. Love this layout and the course is very fun and challenging.

I have played CrossCreek for many years. I am glad to see the course returning to form. The fake creek on #9 is gone. The elephant graveyard on #11 is gone. The Indian statue is gone. One thing that is gone that needs to return is the cart GPS. This is a tough course with the GPS, but it is really tough when you have to guess your yardages. Some holes have 150 yard markers, and very few sprinklers have yardages. At the very least, go with the blue, white, red markers. I lost at least four strokes due to guessing my yardages. The course was in nice shape. Can't beat the early morning tee time. The birds chirping along with the coyotes and hawks hunting are some of my reasons for returning. Overall a great experience. The course just needs more yardage markers or bring back the GPS.

Played on 05/22 and it was my first CrossCreek experience. I played the course for $30 and at that rate, it was an absolute steal! I was not a fan of the design of a few of the holes....especially 18. However, overall, I really enjoyed the course....many challenging holes and no homes on the course. :) I was impressed with how well they maintained the course but was very surprised at how slow they had the greens. The guys at the pro shop were very nice and provided great customer service.

First time playing this course and I wonder why I waited so long. Very cool layout with very few holes that run next to each other. Lots of elevation changes and many places to lose your golf balls.... Continue »

First time playing this course and I wonder why I waited so long. Very cool layout with very few holes that run next to each other. Lots of elevation changes and many places to lose your golf balls. Some big dog legs and some nice slope on the greens. The only complaint might be some of the bunkers are in poor shape and there is alot of standing water in some areas of the course. Greens were in nice shape, but not real fast and the rough was high, but they were mowing it today, so that will probably change. Will definitly be back to play again.
