Got off for $25 in the early afternoon. Seemed busy when I pulled in and plaed in about 4:30 minutes, not bad but barely got to finish. Had some jerks in front of us thinking they were on the tour which was frustrating but whatever. The course has come back pretty well after the work they did on it. Tees and fairways are really green and lush. The greens are just OK with a few spots that need work and a bit bumpy but overall decent.

Overall, I play here a few times a year and will keep it in my rotation so long as I'm in the area. My take on the course is for the price you just cant beat it, i couldn't tell you another course to play for $25 with the current conditions. Staff is always friendly to me and get a $5 beer when you are there yummm!

Played yesterday 10/23 and course is coming out of maintenance real nice. Front nine cart path and rough only for carts but back 9 open for carts on fairway except a couple of holes roped off. Due to overseeding the greens were a little furry and slow but will be real good in a couple of weeks. Management handed out $5 off coupons good on your next tee time if used before Jan 15. due to maintenance. Nice of them to do this. Thanks

Played 'Two Lakes' mid-day Friday, senior rates $25. Playing time was 5hrs with lots of waiting on the front 9, back 9 was much quicker. Cart path only due to overseeding ... carts will be allowed back on fairways next week which will surely help POP. Many greens still showing affects of aeration and were bumpy and not rolling particularly accurate or consistent. Bunkers were damp but manageable, rough cut low and easy to play from. I agree with previous post that the non-traditional layout from the blues can be a decent challenge (it's a par 70: 34 front with 3 par 3's and one par 5, and a 36 back with 3 par 3's and 3 par 5's) but several parallel fairways and tee boxes in landing areas means you have to stay aware to avoid getting zapped by someones errant ball. That would be the reason I'm not a fan of this course but for the $ it's okay, I seem to get out here just once a year for those reasons.

Dos Lagos is an interesting course. It has a challenging layout, with a fair number of tight shots and a bit of water in play. It is nestled right in the same vicinity as a couple of other course, and it is generally quite a bit cheaper. But it just does not seem to be worth the money.

We played about 2 weeks after the greens were punched and sanded, and they rolled well in spite of it, but even in that short period of time, the ball marks were starting to show on the greens. In a couple of the traps where I found myself, there were unraked footprints, with my ball resting in one of them. I don't know why, but the clientele here seems to care less about the other golfers who use the course than I see at other spots. For a nice layout, the price is generally pretty good if you can get a web special. The layout is challenging and since it is on the east side of the freeway, you get a little more afternoon light that on the west side. But there is something about the the course that keeps me from liking it.

I had not played here for several months. Was surprised and somewhat disappointed with the greens. While not bad, they were not nearly as good as I recall them being. Perhaps because most of them were not yet cut, and those that had been cut were heavily watered, they were way too slow for my taste.

Otherwise the course was in generally nice condition. First off so pace of play not an issue, but did have a lot of maintenance to play around.

Played Dos Lagos 7/27/12 7:06 tee time. First time playing this course. Overall a nice layout, the front nine is a lot differant than the back nine. The front nine sort of winds down a narrow canyon while the back nine is wide open and has a lot of elevation changes. The tee boxes were ok, some of them looked like they should have been moved to the left or right to give the turf a chance to heal in the area they were in. The greens were not very predictable some medium slow and others quite slow but that might have been a advantage because they all have many tiers to them. Lots of ball marks, all fixed but not healing very well. Very large greens on most holes and protected by bunkers. Fairways were quite nice and the rough was very decent also. Will play here again just wish it was a little closer to my neck of the woods.

Good pace of play in the front finished in about 2 hours but the back slowed down and we finished in 4.5 hours or so.

Course conditions are good. Greens were good and held well. Putts didn't take many bumps etc. You get what you pay for here. You cant really beat their rates on weekends. Paid $51 on a saturday morning and they threw in a free golf glove.

Played Sunday 7/1 with 7 others. Course was in good shape. The thing that I like about Dos Lagos is that they hit the greens with water early in the morning, knowing that because of the amount of sun (course is on the east side of the 15), and due to canyon winds, they tend to dry up a bit quicker as the morning/afternoon round goes along.

Greens were still a little bumpy (showed signs of recent punching). Fairways were in mostly good shape. Very little bare. Off fairway was cut a bit thicker and made a bad shot pay.

Tee boxes were pretty good. Cart, came by 3 times during the round. And the Sunday Special (round w cart, drink and deli sandwich) was a good deal.

Remember when you get out to that 91/15 area, you are bound to run into a bit more wind, especially as you begin the back 9, so plan your shots accordingly. The good thing about playing the back 9 is that it is a bit more open, so those wind shots don't kill your score.
