Paid $90 to play a course with no sand in bunkers, but plenty of weeds in the bunker. Greens rolled slow. The driving range was beat up. All things I would expect from a $50 muni, but not for $90. The course has changed the hole lay out, but not bothered to move the tee box markers. I would suggest a leadership change because the bones are good.

played here early afternoon. friendly check-in with a complimentary cookie. small bucket of balls (30?) was $10 additional. course overall was in decent condition. some tee boxes from the whites were pretty chewed up, but fairways had decent even coverage with just a few thin areas. rough was grown out thick, difficult to hack out sometimes and penalizing as it should be. greens were slow, somewhat bumpy, but still rolled ok. bunkers are a menace here, most have no sand, pretty much just filled with huge rocks with no maintenance, and #13 just has a liner. pretty much just areas of GUR. not sure what is going on there with this pricey course. pop was an agonizing 4:45. yes, it's one of my favorite layouts, but with no sand and a near 5 hour round, i probably won't be back for a while.

But, if you’re gonna play here you have accept the fact they take horrendous care of the bunkers, either hard pan or just rocks. Otherwise fairways were good coverage, greens rolled tri and good speed. Only complaint ever here are terrible bunkers, easily the worst in SoCal in my experience

Played Oak Quarry on 8/29/22. My numerical rating is low for this course based on one thing - what used to be sand traps.

Not sure what is going on here. Coming bunker renovation project I hope. Anyway, around 75% of the sand traps are being completely neglected/ignored. Fairway bunker on #18 had weeds over knee high. One trap was completely sand free, with the black bottom liner in full view. Almost all sand traps could only be played as ground under repair - you had to drop out. But it wasn't all bunkers. Some strategic bunkers were being somewhat maintained with rocky sand, but still weeds were coming in many places. In 50 years of golf, I can't remember a nice course having such terrible bunkers. It was beyond shocking.

Outside of that, the course was in good shape for late summer. Greens were soft, so a bit bumpy at times, but still rolled well although a bit slow. Fairways and rough in good shape, with a rough spot here and there. Tee boxes were very good.

Still one of my favorite tracks, but I sure hope the bunker fiasco is not a sign of pending doom.

No matter what the conditions, the layout is awesome. Greens??? That's the mystery! Sometimes is smooth, sometimes it's bumpy. If they just figure out the greens, this course is better than most courses around this zip code. The weather hasn't been hot enough yet but I'm assuming they are watering the hell out of the greens to preserve them. The first time I played it this year, the speed was lucky to be over 8. The second time, the speed was higher than 9. Last time?? IDK!!! I can't imagine it was faster than an 8. It's just slow and bumpy. Hard to be aggressive in putting. Overall, still, a great course to play. If you're considering this course for the first time, take your chance on this course. The views are awesome. If you've played here many times, maybe call ahead to get a better idea of the condtion of the green.

Got another invite to play this course today and what would you know? They rolled the greens and they were smooth and faster. It was a great day for golf!

Definitely a course you must play. Pace of Play is my biggest concern. Wish it wasn’t so popular! I’m sure the greens had better days, just not my day! Lumpy greens…hard to score

Oak Quarry is always a great time, course in great shape except the bunkers as usual. Actually had a few that were soft but most were hard pan and no rakes. A couple even had weeds and vegetation growing in them. For $90 a round and up some basic bunker maintenance should be affordable for them. Other than the bunkers though, course was great

Played at 10 today at Oak Quarry...Course in good shape, nice fairway mat and greens are real good not to fast...bunkers around greens OK, fairway bunkers for the most part just hard pan. pace of play OK after the 5 some in front of us cut back to a single after 7 holes. If you like paying over $100 on a Friday I would recommend this one once in awhile....
