Played the afternoon of May 6. The course still is in A+ condition - all areas of the course. Not 1 or 2, but 3 cuts of rough. It has been a long time that the course was in this type of condition. The superintendent deserves a lot of credit for the superb conditioning.

Played the morning of Apr 28. The course is in terrific shape - basically, the best its been since they started putting the houses up. Before all the construction, this course was always in pristine shape. But once the construction started, things went downhill a bit. Now the course is slowly coming back. Today, everything was well-groomed and the superintendent deserves some acknowledgment for his work. The course looked clean, open and uniform. The greens rolled great. A lot of scrub has been cut back, so now the course looks a little different from when it first opened. It feels much more playable. The downside is that a pristine desert has been severely cut back and affected. We used to see a lot of animals and critters running around and it made the round more interesting, but now, we don't see nearly as many animals. But as far as the conditioning of the course, it is in A+ condition!

Gave the greens a 7 - still not fully back from aeration. Gave the sand a 7 - found a couple of traps with minimal, hardened, stony sand. Otherwise, this place is the best non-private course I've play... Continue »

Gave the greens a 7 - still not fully back from aeration. Gave the sand a 7 - found a couple of traps with minimal, hardened, stony sand. Otherwise, this place is the best non-private course I've played. Got a senior rate of $50.00 for 11.42 tee time. My 2 partners paid $65.00. But we didn't start until after noon, because of a PGA Seniors matchplay in front of us. Wonder if they (my partners) should have claimed the twilight rate?

I wish I lived closer to these fun, challenging, scenic, well conditioned golf courses. You can't beat the 70 dollar rate for 2 rounds. play next week????? YES!!!!!

Played this afternoon. It was a gorgeous day - probably the best one of the year so far out here. The course is in very good shape, but beware - they just finished aerating the greens and tee boxes, so both of these areas are sandy. I don't think the greens will be back to normal for about 2 weeks - just a guess - they were pretty bumpy. Everything else though, was in very good shape. The course has become much more playable, as a lot of the scrub and rough has been cut back, and the tee box views are a little less intimidating than in the past. A few of the tee boxes were up as well. The perennial problem of lack of sand in the bunkers persists. The pace of play was terrific though - we finished as a twosome in 3 hrs - sweet.

Very good layout, nice variety of holes and a pretty challenging course. The course was not if very good shape and the greens were very patchy. Overall, for $45 this is worth the stop.
