Teed off mid-morning. I haven't played this course since last November, and I was very pleased with the conditioning today. The practice green closer to the range was mushy and slow, so I was little concerned before the round started. Well, there was no need for concern because they rolled typically quick and fast today. There has been more home development since I was last here, and on the Champions course at least, we've completely lost that remote vibe this place used to have. Now there are houses everywhere and you can see fresh grading for more roads and more houses. It's sad. The course, however, still plays well, and management has cut back significant portions of scrub. They've even cut back scrub that used to separate greens from the next tee box, so now you see more golfers all around you. The bunkers still lack sand, so it's still hard to get that wedge underneath the ball. In my view, the starters and staff here are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Even with the home development, this still is a top notch facility, and the $5 replay is back as well.

Course was in pretty good shape considering it's winter here in SoCal. We got started about 45 mintues late due to a frost delay. It's one of the things you have to worry about at this course in the winter if you book early times. They did a great, great job of using a shotgun start to get the times back on track. The greens were a little grainy. The fairways were very good. The sand traps have little sand in them right now and are very firm.

Very nice course, and a great deal for the money. It's a real challenge, and extremely difficult if the wind's up. Highly recommended.

Can't believe I can play this course for only $50 as a senior. Greens are perfect. There is a lot of development in the area, I have a feeling this place is gonna get a lot of play. The people are so friendly. I've played there about 10 times and the staff actually remembered me on my last visit. That's awesome.

Played here last week. Course is in fantastic shape. Recovered from summer heat. Fairways are lush and green. Greens are absolutely perfect. Best putting greens I've putted on in a long time. The bunkers are a bit thin, but whose fault is it for hitting it in there anyway? If this facility was in OC they would get $300. It blows Trump's Dump out of the water.

Paid $85 to play past sat. Horrible, horrible course condition right now. Dry, spotty fairways and roughs, lots of areas around the greens that are either damaged or unplayable (sure you get a free drop, but...), and rock-hard bunkers. Many greens are well protected by bunkers. If I'm not mistaken, there are roughly 70-80 bunkers. So needless to say they can come into play quite frequently. Well then, keep them playable!!! The greens however were fine - they just aerated a few weeks ago. I'd like to have a chat with the superintendent, reminisce about the good old days with carpet-like fairways, plush sand... and ask him if HE would pay $85 to play in these conditions. No wonder replay is only $5. I hope they restore soon.

Played 8/26 in am and was overall pleased with the conditions. Unlike the legends, the champions course was better maintained. The greens were very true and putts held their lines and the greens were very quick, but fair. Only negative would've been the "wet" conditions on some of the fairways, and near green areas, which caused the ball to attract mud and affect your shot.

greens are very firm, hard to hold anything, lots of ball marks, divots in fairways and tee boxes. This is probably due to the number of high caliber golfers this course attracts. greens putted fine, and the frequent lie in a divot in the fairway becomes annoying! the aprons of the greens were the worst, almost all were marked GUR which is fine you get a drop, But you can't run it thru the collars due to the inconsistency! Try flopping it on to a Rock hard green, If you are not Hefty Mickelson forget it!! The bunkers everyone complained about seemed pretty nice to me. And the 310 par 4 plays downhill, I was pin high w/ 3wood, ya gotta wait if u have any game. no construction on weekend, no problem.
