Excellent all-around course. I traveled about 2 hours to get here after reading about all the positive feedback. The practice facility is one I wish more courses would adopt. Beautiful grass driving range with all the range balls you could ask for. Exceptional practice green coupled with the outstanding service makes your pre-tee time experience enjoyable. Played on a Sunday and finished just under 4 hours. The tee boxes and fairways were very well kept. The greens rolled true with the exception of some careless ball marks. I really enjoyed the layout. #4 is an outstanding Par 5, and in my opinion is the standout of the course. Split fairways with a small creek running through the middle finishing up on an elevated green. Overall, it's a great value course with wonderful conditions that all handicaps would enjoy.

Except for the wetness on most of the fairways, course was in its usual very good to excellent condition. These two courses and the one across the freeway are the best in area, including further south in Palm Springs/La Quinta. The 4th of July special price of $17.76 was not only worth it, it was unbelievable. Place was totally packed but a 6:30AM tee time helped us avoid it. It was wall to wall players by 11:00 when we were finishing. Special through at least the end of July is a $5.00 replay, making this the most outstanding bargain in all of Southern California. Just do yourself and the others behind you a favorite and don't let your ego bite off more than you can handle, Unless you are a single digit handicapper and can drive the ball at least 270-280 play blue or white tee boxes. Double digit players stay on white tees and enjoy an excellent golf course that will challenge all your skills and clubs.

Teed off mid-afternoon today. As always, the winds were whipping around pretty this afternoon. The Champions course is in B+ shape overall. Several holes have stakes in the fairways which apparently mark areas that are under repair. A few fairways had spots of casual water. The rough is in good shape though. The greens were a little inconsistent. Some were a little sandy and bumpy, and others were smoother and rolled better. I thought I used to like the Champions course more than Legends, but I've now changed my mind. I now feel Legends is the better layout; a little more strategy and a little tougher test from tee to green.

Played again this morning. The course continues to be in fine shape. Probably the best day of the year so far out here. 74 degrees, slight breeze, sun, and a well-conditioned course. Had a burger ... Continue »

Teed off at 825a on May 19 2006. The course is in the best shape I've seen in a long, long time. Greens were rolling very fast and smooth, and the fairways and rough were cut very cleanly. Bunkers lacked consistency, but that has been an ongoing issue here. Nevertheless, for $60, this is a steal. The carts are new, bottle water provided, free Callaway range balls - it's a great value, especially when the course is in tip top shape - as it is now. As a foursome, we finished our round in a relaxing 4:15 pace. The staff today was outstanding. Champions is an easier course than Legends off the tee...but the greens are much, much tougher. I was ready to say "uncle" after about the 4th 3 putt!

Just keeps getting better all the time...I predict this course will cost over $100 soon. They have a 10 year membership for $20k, if I lived a little closer, I'd get it in a heartbeat. This course i... Continue »

Ihad the oppurtnity to play her 5/10 Walked into the pro shop at 11:15 and they had us out at 11:45. Had the course to ourselves, played in a little over 3 hours even played 2 balls on some holes. Course conditions were outstanding,nice fairways, rough about 2 to 3 inches making it easy to find your ball but deep enough to penalize you for being in it, greens were fast and smooth, the bunkers I was in were damp but well groomed. The only down side was all the construction along the course. The wind really kicked up about the time we got to #6 making the next 8 holes play much longer than the yardage. I did like the way the holes were layed out so as not to have any holes with a bad cross wind. All said I'll play this course again when I can

Although this layout is demanding,and the par fours are simply a little too long for me, I enjoy the challenge the undulating and fast greens offer, and the views are fantastic!...Through in the fact that the landing areas are fair,(stay in the fairway), and the variety of holes outstanding, and you have a great track! Super well conditioned and fantastic clubhouse.

Played both courses on 2/17/06. Frost delay? You gotta be kidding me. Waited an hour, but staff did a great job getting us all started and on pace. We flew through both rounds with no waiting. Course was beautiful and well-groomed. There are some houses and construction going around this course, however. Sporty golf carts but NO GPS! I can't believe a course of this caliber has no GPS. 10 degrees colder than Palm Springs, but well worth the 30 minute drive with the $5 replay special. Excellent clubhouse and driving range with complimentary balls. Great cart service on the course as well.
