Played 9/29 / 9:09 Tee Time....Checked in and we were charged $70.00 not $50.00 which we pay for the last 5 times we played here. Pro Shop does not tell you that after 8:00 AM it is now $70.00, this change was in effect 2 months...Customer service do let everyone know of your changes...Imrpove also on your yardage marker like plant Palm Tress on each side of the Fairways for 200 yards os so....We were stucked behind a two some, and Marshall did not do anything even after we callled the preo shop twice, Overall the course is good, 5 1/2 hours for 18 holes,,,,,,,HMMMM

Played sat.9/15/07 as a tournament player.Long trip to get here either from my home(cerritos) or from my company(downtown los angeles).After all once you at PGA welcome coming from each side.Friendly staff ,nice course condition from clubhouse to greens.Tee boxes & fairways in their adequate length & quality but some areas too soggy leaving tire marks.Greens little bit hard for me but rolling true.Now the issue is quality of sands in bunkers where I was in 2 times.I prefer call more dirt than sands.Anyway overall very good conditions.
One sad thing is seeing all paralyzed construction of surrounded housing,some even started & some finished but empty give the sensation of actual hard economy situation especially real estate area.

Excellent course, excellent conditions, excellent bargain to play. $5.00 replay is the best deal in California. Golf 2 excellent golf courses for less than $60.00, are you kidding, and on a Weekend. The Champions course greens are much more difficult than the Legends. They are both the same speed and firmness, but there are so many more slopes and mounds on the Champions greens. I find that the key to shooting a good score is to hit it on the right levels. As I mentioned on my post for the Legends course that I played first, everything at that golf course is top notch. I just found out that the same designer for the Champions and Legends did Goose Creek. Played Goose Creek and loved it too... Still can't beat the SCPGA, but it was very good too...

Played the Champions early this morning. Course was in very good shape. Tee boxes and fairways were pretty lush, but cut tightly. The greens were medium-fast, but very firm. It looks as though people never repair their ball marks here, but it seems that the grounds crew has done their best to repair all of them. As a consequence, the ball marks don't really affect putts much. The balls rolled really nice and true on the greens. The only real downside are the bunkers. There really wasn't much sand in them, though I was only in 4 of them, so that might not be an accurate sample. There was also a little bit of soggy ground here and there in the fairways, but they were roped off. This course is a great layout and is always in better than average condition, and in many cases is in excellent condition.

Played in 4 hours. greens are quick and tough... killed my score. houses are prominent, compared to 3 years ago... no houses... 5 years ago, no building... but not right on top of the course. i.e., you won't lose a ball in someone's backyard unless you hit a REALLY bad shot.
weather not bad at all. no wind, started getting warm around #10, high for the day was 92, and didn't approach that in the morning.

Played on 5/30. Golf course was in excellent condition overall. The greens were rolling at a good pace and were very smooth. Noticed that a few greens had lots of ball marks. The $5 replay fee may be the best deal in Southern California. As usual, the customer service is arguably the best in SoCal. We'll be back!
