I had a 4-some out there about a month ago on a Sunday. Tee time around noon.
It took 6 hours to play. one hole had a 25 minute wait. Never again on a weekend.

Played yesterday, midday start. The course was basically deserted for the holiday weekend. We finished in 4 hours, playing very leisurely with no one behind us, which made for a very relaxing day on the golf course. The course conditions were ok, but not great. Much can be attributed to water restrictions and in a lot of areas, management has removed the turf and put in a bark groundcover, which looks very nice. Anything in the middle of the fairway gave a you a good lie, as center of the fairways were lush. The rough is where you found the most trouble though, mostly because of how inconsistent it was. Some areas were thick and lush, some were thin, and others were just bare. This was right along side of the fairway in many instances too, which really made it tough if you just missed. The bunkers were the same way, ranging from good sand both fluffy and heavy to just a thin layer of dirt. Greens were still bumpy, you could see the remnants of aeration still. They rolled medium-fast and held their lines ok, from time to time they would get knocked offline by a bump. I think they need to sharpen their hole cut outs a little more as cup edges were a little dull as well. Tee boxes were in good shape, pretty level for a public course that gets a lot of play. They do a nice job moving the tee markers around so the boxes are not riddled with divots in any one particular area. The layout is fun and fair, everyone who worked there was friendly, and the marshals were helpful and present. I think it's a good course to consistently play if you live in the area, otherwise there's nothing wrong with visiting here 1 or 2x a year.

Played 5-5-16 first out walking in 2 hours and 50 minutes for $18 using the birdie card. Tee boxes were level and semi-lush. Fairways for the most part were in good shape with a few thin and bare areas. Rough was cut low and a little patchy with different grasses at different heights with some bare spots. Was in one bunker one 6 which had nice firm sand. Greens were firm, fast and rolling fairly true. Overall course is in pretty good shape.

Always enjoy playing the two Los Serranos courses, as they generally in very good condition, staff is efficient and accommodating and as a senior, the price is decent. I thought the greens were very ... Continue »

Always enjoy playing the two Los Serranos courses, as they generally in very good condition, staff is efficient and accommodating and as a senior, the price is decent. I thought the greens were very good, better than I expected, even after reading the previous reviews. As few areas in the fairways needed some TLC, but otherwise not much to complain about. Only in one bunker and it was just fine, plenty of sand, albeit it was not raked yet.

After the loss of all their trees, I had tended to shy away from playing here, because I just didn't like the "visual", or maybe it was because I was used to all the old trees, but as time passed, and appreciating the efforts of the course to replant new trees, I have again grown to enjoy and accept the "new" look of these courses.

Got there early and got right out (great customer service at all levels). Played through a group of 3 and was done in 2.5 hours. Course is in very nice condition. Tee boxes level and clean. Bunkers in good shape, raked, playable. Rough is not high but ball settles down making it difficult to play out of. Fairways are in great shape, providing good roll and good lies. The greens were in very nice shape. They were firm and very fast to chip/putt and required a delicate touch.

Fantastic shape!! I have not played on fairways this nice on a busy public course in a long time. I loved it. I played alone and was the first one to tee off in the morning. I finished before 9 am. After the round I went over to El Prado and was paired with...lets just say they were clueless

The course is always in great condition. Greens were running true. Fairways were nice and sand traps were consistent. Don't miss this course

2/8/2016 was a beautiful day to play, wind impacted us from 10-11 am. The tee boxes were in fair to good shape. Most of the fairways were hard with the grass dormant. The greens were in good to very good shape. The snack bar servers were wonderful, the restaurant food and service was great.

Played Fri Jan 22nd 7:16 tee time, pop was ok at 4.30 but for us it was slow as we have played this course in 3.40 the group in front of us was over one full hole behind and the Marshall never said anything. The course is in winter condition so fairways were a little dormant but very playable. No issues with the tee hoxes. Traps were disappointing hard and lacking sand, disappointing because the south bunkers are so great. The greens were very nice, rolled well, smooth and I became accustomed to the speed very easily. Weather was fastastic. Service in the restaurant was great as usual. I just really like it here. One of the best parts was I didn't see one koot on the course, good job management. 17 had allot of geese and their droppings on the green are horrible. Lol
