Played June 5, 2016. Really do like this course. Had a foursome of friends and had a great time.

Tee boxes were slightly unlevel on some holes, but all in all good.

Fairways had a few brown spots, but were much better than i have seen in the past. Most spots were quite lush and the ball tended to sit up nicely.

Rough on this course is pretty much non existent. Either fairway or desert. The parts that did have rough were in good shape, though.

The sandtraps were the big disappointment. Each of them that my group was in were hard pan. They really need to put more sand in the traps.

Greens were the highlight. Very fee unrepaired pitch marks. Very smooth and VERY FAST. Hard to remember that everything breaks down the valley.

Staff was great. Bar staff was super helpful. Marshall told us to hurry it along once, but was apologetic when we pointed out that we were right behind the group in front. Apparently they got a call about pace of play, but were very nice once they were shown that the holdup was not us.

All in all, this is my favorite IE course. Has an incredibly interesting layout. Pretty difficult, but not as punishing as champions club.

Will definitely be back to play again.

Absolutely stunning course. Greens were sanded recently, but really did not notice at all.

Check in was easy and staff was phenomenal. Pro shop was well stocked (got an awesome bucket hat and a nice footjoy logo shirt).

Starter and crew were super helpful. Got me on a range cart quickly and loaded up my stuff in regular cart while i hit the range.

Range was mats, unfortunately, but was good enough to warm up on. Also, unfortunately, i learned at the range that the callaway xr set does not agree with me. Not a huge issue though.

As for course, it was one of the very best i have ever played. Everything was immaculate. The views were amazing and i got some great pictures.

Tee boxes were all perfect. Not many divots and were perfectly level.

Fairways were great. Rough was cut decently well; not too long and not too short.

Sand was pretty much the same as i had on the beach this morning (in Makena).

Greens were fast and true, despite somewhat recent sanding.

When the dropped off my cart, i was met with a cold towel to cool down with.

Cart girl was around a few times. Seemed to be there just when i was finishing up my beer!

All in all, i feel lucky to have played the gold. It was an amazing experience. Pricy, yes, but absolutely worth it for a vacation round.

Conditions were really nice today.

Few brown spots on the fairways, but nothing bad. Tee boxes were level and lush.

Sand was somewhat hard packed, but nowhere near as bad as socal courses have been lately.

Greens were recently sanded, but did not impact roll badly. Lots of tiered greens, though.

Paid $99.00 and was well worth green fee. Views are amazing.

Only fault i can give this course is the limited flight range balls. Even then, range was good.

Will definitely play again at $99.00.

Played here on April 2. Beautiful day out. Had the air show going the entire time, which made for an awesome backdrop.

As for the course, comditions were really great. Staff was great, as well. Pro shop guys and the bar tender were incredibly nice. Driving range and both practice greens were very nice.

Conditions were pretty good. Fairways were mostly lush (few bare spots). Rough was decent enough. Sand traps (of which i got to encounter many, unfortunately) were kind of thin on sand, but were not hard pan; maybe an inch deep of sand before it became hard pan. Tee boxes were unlevel in some spots, but not terribly unlevel.

Real place that Jurupa Hills shined was the greens. Greens were medium fast, but rolled very true. I did fix a few unrepaired ball marks, but not too many. No dead spots on greens, which was nice.

All in all, i was very pleased with Jurupa Hills for the price. Not busy at all, conditions were pretty good, and the staff was wonderful. Will definitely return in the near future.

Played on February 28 with two of my buddies. Paired with a single named pat, who was out from vegas. Great guy! They were short on carts so he rode with me.

Pro shop staff was great as they have always been. Cart girl came around once, though i could have used another pass to grab a beer and a water. No big deal though.

Course was in moderate shape. Tee boxes were somewhat unlevel. Fairways were spotty, but not muddy like they have been in the past. Managed to avoid the sand this round, though buddies had no problem getting out (meaning that there was actually sand in the bunkers). Rough was pretty decent; not too long and not too short. Greens were great; moderately fast and very few ball marks.

All in all, course was playing pretty decent. Will be back again for sure (costco coupons make it a great deal, and one of my buddies lives on the course, so it is sort of a "home course" for us).

Played on February 14, 2016. course, staff, layout, everything was great. Not overly crowded. Solid 3:45 round. Beautiful day; 88 defrees and sunny. Very little wind.

Checked in no problem and got to practice for a few minutes prior to playing (we were running a bit late compared to what i like). Check in staff was great, as were staff members that loaded up our carts. Cart girl came around 3 times, and was quite pleasant.

Tee bixes were all lush and level. The fairways were nearly flawless. Rough was filled in, but not overly long. Sand traps were fluffy and filled with abundant sand. Greens were rolling very nicely, but were somewhat on the slow side.

All in all, i highly recommend Desert Springs (The JW). It is a great golf resort that deserves more accolades than it seems to get online.

Played here today (1/30/16). Started at 1:30 and got a phenomenal deal courtesy of contacts at the hotel. Weather was perfect for golf; 75 witha very light breeze.

As for the course, it is phenomenal; not because of the course itself, but because of the staff. The pro shop guys were great. The guys that loaded bags were great. The starter/marshal was the single best marshal i have ever encountered. The cart lady was super sweet, even though the one slice i had all day nearly hit her cart.

As for the course itself, the conditions were immaculate. The tee boxes had some divots, but all had been filled. There was maintenance staff filling divots around the course today, which was really nice, actually. The fairways were perfect, as was the rough. The bunkers were fluffy and filled with nice white sand. The greens were all rolling just perfectly, and the only ball marks that i had to fix were my own.

As for the layout, i was pretty impressed. While i normally like real desert golf, this course had enough interestimg stuff to keep me interested. Lots of palm trees; so many that it looked like Hawaii in some respects. Also, the greens were probably the most difficult greens i habe ever played. They rolled perfectly, but almost all of them were multi tiered with severe breaks.

In any case, i really enjoyed this course and will be out to play it again soon for sure.

Played here on January 2, 2016. Beautiful day out, with almost no wind on the course. Buddy and I paired with two Canadian gentlemen, who were quite entertaining. My buddy and I got a deal for $55.00 each at 11:00 a.m.

All in all, I cannot praise this course enough. I was really impressed, especially in light of some of the less than stellar reviews it has received in the past.

The entire staff was exceptionally helpful and all very friendly. They loaded up our bags on a cart and had it waiting for us outside of the clubhouse. The staff in the proshop was equally friendly and helpful. Staff in the restaurant was great, as was the cart girl (who came around 3 times during our round).

As for the Course itself, the course was really one of the best I have ever played. Each hole was interesting (especially those playing along open desert or along the channel). Pace of play was about 3.5 hours including a quick stop to get a beer at the turn.

Conditions were exceptional. Tee boxes were lush and level. Fairways were near flawless, with only two unrepaired divots that I found (and filled myself). Rough was nice and green, though the rough really just serves as a small divider between the fairway and the desert. Sand traps were all filled with fine sand, though there was the errant pebble in a few of sand traps. Nothing to concern me, though.

The best part was the greens, though. Not a single unrepaired ball mark. Greens were all very fast. Some greens were tiered and some had some undulations. Each green was exceptional, and each was unique.

All in all, I will absolutely be back here to play (maybe the south course next time). At $55.00 on New Years weekend, Terra Lago is near impossible to beat.

Played here December 30, 2015. Showed up and was put right on the course (running late, so no time to warm up aside from a few practice putts).

Pro shop staff was quite nice, as was the rest of the staff that I came across.

As for the Course, not a bad layout. Some interesting holes, including one par 3 that plays downhill and over another hill, such that the green is nearly impossible to see.

As for conditions, most were sort of mediocre, but for $25.00, I was quite pleased. Tee boxes were in decent condition. Greens were actually pretty good. The fairways were mostly brown, but played decent enough. Real downside was the sand traps - they were, essentially, filled with gravel.

All in all, for the price, it was pretty good, but I would not go out of my way to play here, especially with all of the phenomenal courses within a 20 minute drive of Cresta Verde. Notwithstanding, I will probably be back to play here again.

Played on November 28 with a few buddies of mine. Have played here before and loved it previously.

Was not quite as impressed this time around, though I still do think this is one of the better tracks in western Riverside county.

With regards to staff, everyone was top notch. Hailey (the cart girl) was lots of fun and came around 4 or 5 times.

With regards to the course, many of the fairways were muddy to the point that the ball would plug badly. Most of the tee boxes were level, but a few were not level. Sand traps were a bit thin, but were ok. Greens were actually pretty good; fast and firm.

One big annoyance I had was that my cart crapped out very early in the round on a steep incline. I had to push the cart up the incline while my buddy pushed and steered. To the staff's credit, they had a new cart to us 5 minutes after we called the clubhouse.

One other thing that we encountered was a severe backlog of foursomes on the front 9. There was a marshal that was doing his best to move people along, but some groups were simply ignoring him (marshal was very nice, and was being firm with the backlog groups). Not sure what I would recommend regarding this issue, since the marshal was doing what he could to clear the backlog, but figured I would note the issue notwithstanding.

In all, even with the annoyances, Hidden Valley is still a lot off fun to play. The layout is great and the service is phenomenal.

Played November 22 with a buddy of mine. Teed off at 11:30 a.m. No one in front of us until the 7th hole, when we caught up with a threesome (who was backed up behind a few foursomes). Since course allows fivesomes, and we were backed up anyways, we ended up joining up into one group. Had a blast playing with this group. Finished in about 5 hours, including a half hour break at the turn (which is not bad for Mountain Meadows on a weekend).

Staff was wonderful as always. Practice facilities were great, even though the range is hitting off of mats.

Course was actually in great shape compared to what it has been in the past. Tee boxes were pretty level. Actual sand in the sand traps! Only some brown spots on the fairways. Greens were fast but did hold shots. Even most of the ball marks on the greens were repaired (shocking, I know!).

All in all, was impressed with Mountain Meadows and will definitely come back to play soon.

Played August 22 during mispd morning. Got a good deal here as they had recently punched greens.

When we arrived, i was immediately impressed, as the views down the canyon quite spectacular.

Went to the driving range, which was decent enough. Practice green was nice (aside from the aforementioned recent punching.

As for the course, the fairways were lush and quite nice. Most sand traps had a good amount of sand in them. Greens were quite good, considering the recent punching.

Only real complaint was that the tee boxes were not particularly level, but all were still quite playable.

All staff Members were fantastic (pro shop, restaurant, and cart girl). Really impressed with the staff.
